Shakhtar controlled this match in the grand scheme of things but Liverpool created some nice, dangerous attacking moves from time to time. Shakhtar should have had a goal in the 3rd minute as Lacina Traore was played through and had Alaba running inside of him. As Traore approached Reina, he played it inside to Alaba but Reina was able to get over and save the strike from close range. However, in the 10th, Taison got the lead for Shakthar as Traore danced around Agger before shooting toward the corner. Reina parried it but only straight to Taison for the tap in. In the 29th, Coutinho used some nice moves to work a shot from just outside the box but it was too close to Handanovic who parried it out for a corner. On the corner, Skrtel somehow won the header while being sandwiched but it went just wide of the target. 3 minutes later, Taison would make it a brace when he was able to dispossess Glen Johnson off of an Alaba through ball which the Englishmen seemed to be at first and beat the racing Reina to it to tap it just barely around him before he placed it into the open net. Nice hustle by the Brazilian and a good performance to match. In the 45th, Traore raced onto a ball before blasting it toward the near post but Reina got just enough of a hand to deflect it off the post. In the 49th, it looked as if Taison would have his hat trick as he danced into the box from the wing and curled for the far post but the ball sailed just a few feet wide. In the 63rd, Jesus Navas used his speed to race to the edge of the box before firing for the far post. Handanovic made a great diving save to deflect it off the post and save the game for Shakhtar. In the 83rd, Douglas Costa danced around several Liverpool defenders before trying to place it in from a poor angle but Reina saved it. GG heskey

This game started all Shakthar, then Bale scored and Juventus made it an even game for a while. Then after the PK, it was largely Shakhtar again. Yaroslav Rakitskiy gave Shakhtar the lead very early in the 2nd minute when Taison got down the left flank and crossed for the middle. Pirlo headed it out toward the top of the box but Rakitskiy was there waiting. He took a touch to control and then opened his body and placed it toward the right corner with his right foot and it was in for a 1-0 lead. In the 28th, Gareth Bale lead a counter attack with Neymar against just Darijo Srna. Bale dribbled toward the middle, then passed it out to Neymar on the right flank before going back post. Neymar took a couple touches down the flank and Srna tried to stay between him and Bale but Bale checked up. Neymar spotted it and passed it across to the Welshman who placed it in to bring the game level. In the 45th, David Alaba made an inspiring run through the left side of the defense into the box, shedding 3 defenders on the way before he faked Chiellini who slid and took his legs out for a PK just outside the 6 yard box. Marek Hamsik stood up to take it and put it away to put Shakhtar up 2-1 just before half. In the 51st, Neymar got down the right and tried crossing for Llorente but Alaba deflected it and Llorente almost got to it before Handanovic but Handanovic was just in time to claim it as he took a kick from Llorente. In the 57th, Bale timed a run perfectly as the ball was hit over the top to him. All alone with defenders trailing his dust about 6 yards behind him, Bale tried to slide it under the rushing Handanovic but Handanovic was able to kick save it and Dede came out with the ball. In the 64th, the ball bounced around the box with lots of traffic in it. Arturo Vidal collected it, turned and took two dribbles before trying to cut around Hamsik but Hamsik read it and dispossessed him at the top of the box. The ball rolled up to Lacina Traore who turned, took a touch and slotted it into the bottom left corner. 3-1 Shakhtar. Lacina Traore would add another just two minutes later when Darijo Srna got down the line and crossed for the big man who made a run behind Hamsik who had had several defenders distracted by him. Unmarked, Traore rose up and headed it into the right half of the goal. 4-1. Hamsik would see his header just deflected an inches wide in the 73rd by Buffon. However, they got their fifth and final goal in the 79th when a corner was cleared by Juventus out to Costa who took a touch inside and smashed it into the bottom left corner from the edge of the box. 5-1 the final. Good game Andre

Dinamo Moskva 1 - 0 RCD Espanyol (this games belongs to Week 1)
    (NexusVI Roy vs F l Wence2 l S)

    Pepe (Kokorin '86)

    Verdú (Forlin '87)
    Herrera (Wakaso 45')
    Simao G. Dos Santos
    Sergio García

    :goal: Semshov :assist: Pepe '2

    No cards.

    Clean sheets: Courtois (Dinamo)

    Match report:
Dinamo started the game and was able to score a quick goal thanks to Pepe's cross and luckily Semshov put the header in.

Espanyol put theirselves together and started developing slow gameplay tactics, dominating the game, trying to profit Dinamo's gaps in defense, but no clear chances for Espanyol in this half.

Second haf started with some chances for both teams, but defenders were keen enough to avoid any golden goal chance. However, Espanyol had their best chances to score in this half, trying to hurt my wings and crossing, but no luck in front of goal. Also, Courtois saved a very clear chance, avoiding Espanyol equalizer.

Good game mate, looking forward to our game in Barcelona ;)

The game started quickly with Liverpool scoring in the 5th minute but Espanyol responded quickly with two goals immediately in a span of 5 minutes with gio dos santos and sergio Garcia scoring the goals respectively. It was a very open game with both teams looking to attack at all times and that left lots of space for both teams but neither team capitalized and it went into the half 2-1 Espanyol leading. Liverpool struck first in the second half tying the game up at 2 but then it was all Espanyol. Gio dos santos dominated the right hand side and blew Past Jose Enrique for an assist to sergio Garcia and then with a nicely placed ball from Verdu, Sergio Garcia got his hat trick with a first time goal past reina. Espanyol then protected their two goal lead and saw the game out. Great game!

There is the link to the video for Sergio Garcia's third goal.

Off your pad? Ohhhhhhhhhhh, you said iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii...pad. My bad. ;)

Good game though. I'm finding it difficult to get used to this 'patience at the back' style of play. I feel like i'm doing nothing effective.

Manager 'el vasco' Aguirre was quoted as saying 'we aren't here to entertain fans at anfield. They could be asleep from our boring style for all I care.' Haha.

A fast-paced match in this one. Lewandowski gave Dortmund the early lead converting a rebound shot. It was all Dortmund early on, then Benteke headed home a Robben cross. The 2nd half was back and forth until Benteke managed to capitalize on a Micah Richards error near the box, and buried the eventual winning goal.
