    (REVISED) OMFL OFFSEASON DEADLINES

    OMFL OFFSEASON DEADLINES:

1/23/10 - 3 days to post new cap numbers due to retirements and progresssion/regression. The only players this will not work for is fa's who are signed to their deals. If a fa progresses above their pay rating then a new rating is figured. if a fa regresses below or their rating is not equal their salary (fa's who signed large deals) then their pay stays the same as before. These numbers should be posted in a new Team Management thread. All releases must be posted at the end of these 3 days also. This must be done in your team management thread. These players who are posted must be released IMMEDIATELY!

    1/25/10 - day after releasing and tagging of players deadline - free agency open (see rule #6, 9, 9B, 10, 11, & 26)

1/31/10 - 1st annual OMFLDraft (see info below)

2/2/10 - Start of season 2. All free agents who are still deciding on deals and all trades not completed must wait until week 2 and are handled like normal regular season fa's and trades

    OMFLDraft Details:

    PRE-DRAFT:
    1. A full list of players is ready now and can be found here: http://www.traditionfootball.com/for...ad.php?t=15565

    2. Any team NOT able to make the live draft MUST send in a "wish list" of players that they would like to see on their team drafted. It does NOT have to be a comprehensive list of all players like what I was talking about earlier, but maybe like a top 5 or 10 players per round they would like to get. This gives a board member/commissioner at least a small capability to draft a player that the owner wants.

Lots of questions bout cutting players. This is what you do. you figure your averages for O and D. Then you have to cut 3 above and 3 below. YOU CHOOSE WHERE THEY COME FROM. So if you cut your 3 above from O then use your O average, if you cut 2 from O and 1 from D then you use the right averages. You get to pick where the players come from.

Okay. So it doesn't have to be 3 from both sides of the ball, correct? I was just about to ask you that question.

no. it is 6 from any where you want. we are discussing changing this system to a simpler system. announcement coming soon. biggest thing now is to figure your current new cap with progression. remember that if you signed a fa and he regresses then his cap number stays the same. if the progress and puts the player in a new cap figure then you must readjust.
