Week 2
UTEP blown out

After a good showing in their loss in week one, UTEP was just completely outmatched in this one. The defense played well, forced a number of fumbles and stops on 3rd and short, including a 4th and goal stand on the one. Unfortunately the offense couldn't produce, Coach Smith said, "Well we tried to get the passing game going this game and it helped us keep drives alive, but we just couldn't do anything in the first half. We got up earlier, then gave that up and we wanted to focus on getting our backup running backs work in the new offense."

So far two games into the season the new option offense has worked in the first half, then disappeared in the second half, QB James Thomas says, "We aren't doing anything different or wrong compared to the first half. We just have to learn how to adjust on the fly when teams have adjusted to the offense at halftime. Second half needs to be man up time and we need to win our one on one match ups."

The biggest news of the game was the disappearance of Donald Buckram, after a productive first half with 8 carries and 50 yards, he remembered he left his stove on and flew back to El Paso.

Coach Smith also said to expect "major changes" in the balance of the offense. "Well we tried to pass it at least 15 times, but we were running well in the first half, and once we got down because of the turnovers I wasn't going to force James [Thomas] to just throw up balls and be punished. We'll put him in a better position next week. It's a work in progress. He has the option reads down and this was very noticeable by how he was willing to give the ball to Myers on the fullback dives. Now we have to work on his passing reads."

Do we have a solid schedule for advancing?

 

Every 3 days at the latest, more quickly if possible. I want to advance by Friday afternoon at the latest.

 

so its known ahead of time...im not able to connect to the dynasty wire from a cpu or upload videos because for some reason i cant connect my gamertag to my ea acct.

 

i just wanted to give the pistol a shot and i liked nevadas colors lol

 

nnnnoooooo i lost my first game.... lol good game bigfoot!!! he kicked a field goal with 3 seconds left to win. my turnovers killed me i had 3, he had 0. final score was 45-42. defense couldnt get it going.

ISU couldn't get it done. The defense was just horrible. That's really all their is to say.

 

I will be on a quick vacation starting tomorrow morning and I will be back Sunday evening.

Hopefully i dont have to be simmed

 

Yea it was a good game, one of those that I just got lucky enough to have the ball for the final possession and that was the difference.

And Joeptc, I am hoping to advance to next week quickly enough that you could play your next game before leaving, in that case, you would def be fine.

 

I am surprised you didnt put up that Kickoff Return for a TD, it was funny because it happened right after I started to get a little cocky and talk a little shit. KARMA! lol

***DE Gemara Huggins 6'2" 235 lbs - Visalia, California: A Run Stopping defensive end prospect who is decent in many areas, but not great in a single one. He definitely will need some development before stepping onto the field. However for a program that most consider to have 1 star prestige, it is impressive that they are signing 3 star recruits.

**C Leon Love 6'3" 295 lbs - Colton, California: Leon Love, a well rounded Center equally capable against the run and pass was signed, filling a need at that position due to the two presently on the roster both being upperclassmen.

3. Forum and general dynasty activity. I love doing stuff on the new dynasty wire and here in the forums.
4. Like I said in number 3, I beleive I could contribute a lot to this dynasty.
5. I am 18 year's old, I live in South Dakota. Will be attending South Dakota State University in the Fall. I love everything about college football, the passion, the fans, everything.
6. I'm a youngin, so I will go with Tebow. The passion and love he showed for Florida football in every game was everything college football is about.
7. I currently commission Glory Days, a dynasty here on TF. That is my only one.

 

when are we going to advance into week 3? we have jmustang and mayne event and someone else left. i think nautica needs to do his recruiting he has a bye week. so we only have 3 games left and 2 of them are user vs. user. LETS GO!!! LOL

I can play almost anytime Friday if it's advanced by then. Won't be available Saturday, but will be here all day Sunday.
