I know a lot of us have some interest in this weekends Michigan vs Michigan State game in East Lansing. So what are your predictions?

In seriousness, MSU definitely has a big advantage playing @ home and, more importantly, getting 2 weeks to prepare.

And the weather. And the #1 defense in the nation.

I think it's going to be a toss up really. Michigan has all the momentum because they are undefeated and have the big play ability they didn't have last year. They have improved their defense quite a bit since last year but I don't see them stepping up today. Michigan State, like jello1717 said, has the home field advantage and we all know it will be packed over capacity with fans as loud as any other in the nation. The weather will play a factor as well, if it is wet then this game will get interesting. I have noticed Denard doesn't run as well when the ground is wet, the whole tires spinning in the mud image comes to mind. BUT that is any player. Kirk Cousins will need to play one of his best games and our running game will have to finally get a GREAT game, not a good one a GREAT one. Our defense will also need to eliminate the deep ball Denard is so good at completing. Michigan will have to stop BJ Cunningham and stop Denard from throwing 3 or more picks, because if he does, MSU WILL capitalize unlike the ND game.

Overall prediction: MSU wins 24-13 due to controlling the clock, playing strong D and solid drives

Michigan has the #8 scoring defense, so that's not too far off from MSU.

Youngstown State, FAU, Central Michigan, Ohio State = 20 points
    Notre Dame = 24 points with 3 TO's

That's why I don't see MSU being the "#1" defense for very long

At haltime it's only 7-7, who ever gets their passing game under control will win this one. Both teams have just been absolutely horrible one that part. If MSU can stop getting so many damn penalties too..8 for 60-something yards is just disgusting

That 4th and one play action call by Michigan was the worst call I've seen in a long time. Simply not worth the risk there. They'll lose sleep over that one.

100% correct. I don't know what the gameplan was today. Borges was trying to do too much.

I did not expect the cheap shots and dirty play from the Spartans. Very disappointing.

As a B1G fan this bothered me as well. The taunting, body slams, and the PUNCH were unacceptable.
What pissed me off the most was that the MSU coaches showed zero ethics when they had they chance. It's doesn't matter if the refs missed your player throwing a punch, you knew he did it and he should have been sent to the locker room. BUT like every program in this day winning is most important.

This is why we are the #1 defense. We shut down Denard, forced him to make plays through the air and he couldn't do it.

The late hit on Denard wasn't even that bad, it wasn't malicious at all. I didn't see the punch your talking about as I was at the game and haven't seen a replay of that. I did see a replay of the late hit on Denard as well seeing it right in front of me in person, it was just a normal tackle. Bonehead play, but not dirty.

Notre Dame was held under 250 yards in our game, they have been over 400 in every other game this season.

This is clearly the #1 defense in the B1G right? Cause there's no way you mean in the nation. If LSU or Bama played that Michigan team I don't think they'd sniff the end zone.

I agree Suge, I'm very disappointed by the way they played so dirty, that is not what Dantonio teaches them and I'm sure they will have extra sprints to run for that

Gholston threw a dirty punch, I hate to say it but he should have been yanked for it.

In total defense MSU is #1...even after the BYE week, but next week is the real test. I'm no longer afraid of Nebraska so if we beat Wiscy, and that's a big IF, then we will cruise to the CCG.
