Tennessee gets huge win in the opener against Boise state
    [IMG]
Tennessee got the ball to start and threw an 80 yard TD on 3rd and long. For the rest of the first half the Vols couldn't put the ball in the end-zone and had to settle for field goals. Tennessee played great on D but Boise just kept on chipping away 4 yards at a time. Boise state went into halftime up 14-10 with a very exciting 2nd half awaiting them. In the third quarter the only scoring were two 40 yard field goals by Tennessee. Early in the fourth the two teams traded TD's. It was now 23 21 the vols leading by a slim margin. a Field goal and TD for Tennessee seemingly ended the game but the Broncos were not done. Boise state drove down and scored with 17 seconds left to put the score at 33-28. They set up for an onside, a slow dribbler barley going ten yards that was recovered by a Bronco. Boise started with good position. They completed a few passes and got down to about the 30 with 7 seconds left enough time for to shots at the end-zone. Kellen reared back and threw it to a wide out that ran a streak up the middle. There was a single saftey deep middle, he had a chance to make a play on the ball and did. He broke on it perfectly caught it high in the air and ended the game. Tennessee hosts Beamer and the Hokies next week.

Tennessee plays good enough to get their second straight win

The Volunteer Defenses played relentless in a 24-10 beating of the top 15 Virginia Tech Hokies. The Vols had a slow start again this week. In the first quarter they kicked a shot field goal and in the second quarter RB Oku punched in a 3 yard rush on a toss left call. In the third quarter Tyler Bray connected with Da Rick Rogers on a five yard out route to give 17-3 lead and all the momentum. Virginia Tech kept their poise in a hostile environment and answered with a deep touchdown throw to conclude the third quarter. In the 4th quarter Tennessee had two chances to put points n the board but elected to go for it on 4th and one, both attempts were shutdown in the backfield. Late in the fourth quarter tyler Bray hooked up with the TE to seal the win. The next week Tennessee travels to arch rival, and defending national champion the Florida Gators.

Tennessee falls to hated rival Florida
Not a lot of people expected Tennessee to compete with the defending national champs, but surprisingly they did. The two teams were neck and neck until two back to back defensive touchdowns for the gators in the third quarter seemingly put the Vols down. Tennessee regroup and was able to salvage something and come back and get the margin to only two scores. Tennessee has played a brutal schedule so far this year and the gators were by the far the best team they played yet. The vols host the hated Georgia Bulldogs next week.

    Tennessee gets revenge
    [IMG]
The whole state of Tennessee wasn't very pleased with the lose last week to their arch rival, so too recover from the loss they decided to beat the living tar out of another arch rival. From the get go it was obvious that they were on a mission to win this game. It was a game with big conference implications and both teams are ranked within the top 25. The vols started hot getting up early 17-0 and injuring the bulldogs starting QB Aaron Murry. Georgia was able to score on the next possession but on that kickoff David Oku took it 100 yards to the house. After that moment The "dawgs" couldn't get anything going. Tyler Bray was picking apart the secondary and the wide-outs were finding holes in the zone. The team really fed off of the electric crowd. With this win it puts the Vols at 3-1.They travel to Fayetteville next week to face off with the top ranked hogs, it should be a barn burner.

    Tennessee beats 5th ranked Sooners

Tennessee traveled to Norman Oklahoma to square of against the top ten Oklahoma Sooners. The Vols started off on fire, OU couldn't do anything to stop the high octane passing attack. Tennessee quickly got up 21-0 by the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter Tennessee scored quick again to go up 28-0. It was so quiet you could hear pen drop. Big game Bob was determined to have his team leave with some dignity. They scored ten straight to end the half and kept the game competitive. The only points scored in the third quarter was a field goal by the Vols making the score 31-10. In the fourth quarter both teams scored 14 points ending the game at 45-24. Tennessee QB Tyler Bray lite up the OU secondary throwing for 430 yards and 6 tds! the only downfall were the 2 interceptions he threw but other tan those he looked like a young Peyton Manning. The leading receiver for tenneesse was Da rick Rogers who had 8 rec 100 yards and Td. Frehsmen steve Innman also player great with 95 yards and a TD.Next week Tennessee plays SEC rival Arkansas.

Tennessee gets a huge road victory behind the arm of sophomore Tyler Pray. The volunteers came into the game knowing this rivalry game had huge SEC implications. Two huge interceptions thrown by the Hogs lead to 10 first quarter points for the hogs. After getting down by ten Arkansas was able to put a huge drive and put the ball into the end-zone to end the fist quarter down 10-7. Scoring in the second quarter was non existent until late when Tennessee went 80 yards to a touchdown. Tennessee got the ball back and tried to get fancy before half, the hogs intercepted the ball and got within field goal range. The 1st half ended 17-10. Third quarter started with a Td drive by the vols, on the next possession Arkansas was able to respond with their own TD. Late in the third Tyler Bray hooked up with Da Rick Rogers for a 61 yard TD to give The Vols a comfy lead going into the fourth quarter. In the fourth tennessee focused on ball control and was only able to get a field goal. The game ended 34-17. Tyler Bray finished the game 31 for 16 with 342 yards and 4 tds some pretty nice stats to add to his heismen campaign. Tennessee gets a much needed by before traveling to Face ARCH rival Alabama.

Tennessee vs Alabama is one of the oldest and historic rivalries in the SEC. Both teams came in to the game ranked high in the top 25, so the atmosphere was electric. The game started as a defensive fight until Trent richardson was able to punch the ball in from the 5 yard line to give Bama the lead. The whole first quarter the vols had been shut down until Tyler Bray found Da Rick Rogers in the endzone for a 70 yard touchdown. In the second quarter Da Rick caught another Td to give them the lead. Bama put a great drive together right before half and scored with 12 seconds left. It looked as if they would go into half time tied. Alabama tried the tradition squib kick and it gave The Vols great field possession. The next play Tyler bray connected with on the edge of field goal range. So with 3 seconds left tennessee lined up for a 40 yarder. Drilled it and headed into the half up 17-14. In the second half Bama was troubled by turnovers that gave The Vols excellent field position. The turnovers put them in position for short field goals and one of the turnovers was taken to the house. The final score was 33-14 and gave Tennessee braggin rights till next october.

    45-0!

Tennessee came into saturday nights game expecting a dog fight from the South Carolina Gamecocks. Well as you already may know that wasnt the case. Tennessee did anything they wanted to against South Carolina, it was complete domination on both sides of the ball. To start the game Zach Rogers caught a 7 yard touchdown, to put UT up 7-0. The other two touchdowns in the first quarter were Runs by the new starting running back Tyrone Pool. In the second quarter. Z. Rogers added to his td total and Freshmen Steve Inmann also caught a touchdown, Tyler Bray even ran a td in. The first half ended 42-0 and there was no way South Carolina was ever goonna come back. In the whole second half The vols ran the ball and only got a field goal which ended the game at 45-0. The thing that tennesee has really done well the past few weeks are force turnovers, they forced 5 against the gamecocks and 5 against the Tide. Every game it seems as if the Vols keep improving. They face their ast tough SEC opponent in the 9th ranked LSU tigers, this is a huuge game For the sec and BCS. Th winner of this game could be looking at going to a BCS bowl and the loser may end up in the capital one bowl or maybe cotton bowl.

    Close call against LSU
    [IMG]
The number 8 Tennessee Volunteers faced off against the number 7 LSU tigers in search of their 6th straight win. After a crushing victory over South Carolina Tennessee gets a close game vs a good LSU team. In the first quarter the only touchdown by ether team was a 4 yards touchdown catch by Zach Rogers. In the second quarter Tauren Poole had a huge run that sparked Tennessee's offense. That TD run was countered by a a 5 yards td throw by the Tigers. To end the second quarter Tennesee added a field goal and a Da rick rogers TD giving them a 24-7 halftime lead. LSU wouldnt go down without a fight and punched in a 0 yards rush by the fullback to make the score 24-14 going into the final quarter. To start the 4th Tyler Bray hit the backup TE for a 3 yard touchdown reception to go up 31-14 and put the lead to far out reach. LSU would add another TD before the game ended to make it 31-21. Tauren Poole ran for almost 100 yards again and Tyler Bray threw for 300. If they can keep this nice balance up theyll be dangerous the rest of the year. UT plays Kentucky and Vandy before the big showdown vs Ohio State.
