It's been a roller coaster type season for Dallas QB T. Romo. 4 games in he had posted a QB rating of over 100 in 2 wins and less than 60 in the 2 losses. So as the INTs were notched in the box score, the Cowboy fans had to be squirming in their seats. 3 INTs and a QB rating of 55.5 were sure to mean a 2-3 start, right?

Enter Big D. As in, Defense. After forcing a 3 and out to start the game, KR D. Harris would field the punt on the 10, break thru a crushing hit, and outrun the coverage 90yds for the punt return. SS J.J. Wilcox picked off Houston QB R. Mallet twice, returning one 35yds for a TD. LB B. Carter would deliver a crushing blow with a forced fumble that rocked the Texans' offense. S. Lee would make the recovery to thwart a drive that looked promising for Houston.

With Romo struggling, the Cowboys rode the legs of RB D. Murray to the tune of 133yds and 4 TDs. It's again a good sign that the coaches are willing to run the ball. But it continues to be a bad sign when Romo cannot convert his limited opportunities. It's another 3 weeks until WR D. Bryant rejoins the team. Unless this offense can get things going thru the air, it may not matter much.

The Cowboys travel to Seattle in week 6 while the Texans return home to host the Colts.
