    Baltimore Ravens

    Resigned:
FS Ed Reed has resigned for 3 years and 26.7 million.
In 2015 Reed is scheduled to make 10.24 but that would have Reed at 38 years old and we do need see Reed playing that long. With a modest bonus it gives the Ravens the advantage of having their big time secondary leader here until the end of his career.

TE Dennis Pitta has resigned for 3 years and 5.8 million total.
Pitta is part of the duo with Ed Dickson and the Ravens brass feels he can only get better from here and got a very friendly cap numbers for Pitta. We look for big things from him in the future.

    Going to Free Agency:
LT Bryant McKinnie, after coming into camp over weight and unable to handle himself, McKinnie was told by management we will not be resigning him and is in danger of losing his starting job if he does not get himself together weight wise.

    DE Arthur Jones
Jones wanted a sizable increase in salary and the 3 years at 6.3 million for a back up at this point for the Ravens was too much, maybe he will be back in free agency maybe not either way is okay with Baltimore at this point.

    Currently Negotiating:
RB Ray Rice (Close to resigning, and will resign in Baltimore)
    OLB Paul Kruger
    TE Ed Dickson
    LT Ramon Harewood

Ravens brass are still debating on Joe Flacco and his future with the Ravens, his performance and the performance of this team will dictate if Flacco will be back.

No there is not a 3 year max, just beware of the long term ruin in the financial aspects. I will not redo a teams contract due to there own financial mismanagement. (y)

    Updated:

Baltimore has resigned back-up offensive tackle Ramon Harewood to a 1 year contract extension for 800K Harewood is currently backing up Michael Oher who is playing LT and is a good anchor to have as a back-up should Rookie OT Kelechi Osemele or Oher get hurt.

Baltimore also resigned OLB Paul Kruger, with Upshaw and Suggs, Kruger will mostly become a rotational player but for now starts over Upshaw as he is still learning the defense.

    Denied:
Ray Rice was told no to renegotiating his new contract as he wanted more money than the 5 years 50 million he already has.

    Still Negotiating:
    TE Ed Dickson
    (Stubborn dude I tell you)

    Still Debating:
    QB Joe Flacco
(Flacco is trying to start negotiations but the team is still waiting to decide on Joe before they invest in the long-term with him)

    New York Jets:

    Resigned:
    TE Dustin Keller 5 yrs/ $33M
    LG Matt Slauson
    CB Isiah Trufant
    CB Brandon Ghee

    Negotiating:
ROLB Ricky Sapp - great young OLB has great pass-rushing speed look to him to be the future opposite Aaron Maybin

WR Clyde Gates - Most likely will keep on for his great KR skills, can be used at #4 WR spot

    Not Resigning:

RB Shonn Greene - Decided not to resign. He is a RB but not "elite", what we are looking for in our Power Running attack (asking for 4YR/$3.08M).

DE Mike DeVito - great size for 3-4 DE but in a crowded position on the Jets, he's too expensive to be a backup

RG Brandon Moore - Good OL but is aging at 32 yrs old, with the OL loaded draft class coming we can afford to let him go

LOLB - Bryan Thomas - Solid OLB who is currently leading our team in sacks, however with the young backups we have contributing he is just too old to resign at 33 yrs old.

TE Jeff Cumberland - Young TE with decent speed and hands, but at #3 on the depth chart he is expendable

RE Marcus Dixon - Can be a solid backup on any team, but on the NYJ's crowded line, he is the 4th option
