Expectations of Rookie Symposium Members Rookie Symposium is a league that is open to all TSO members, regardless of length of membership or premier status. This league operates under a SIM style of play, meaning it is going to be as realistic, playing wise, as possible. The TSO community, as a whole, is a SIM community. We strive to play tough, hard games within the boundaries of the rules. We often refer back to the idea of, "Beat your opponent, not the game." Our expectation, is that all applicants / members that apply to the league intend to stay through the life of the cycle. We understand that things come up in life, and unexpected situations can arise. If you need to take time away from the league for a short amount of time (i.e. 5 weeks or less) notify the league staff by posting the appropriate information in the Vacation Thread, so that you can be moved to "Auto-Pilot" status. If you must leave the franchise permanently, notify the Commissioner mmorgan184 as soon as possible. We do not want a frequent turnover in owners if it can be avoided. Nobody wins an actual prize for being the champion, so don't take it too seriously. Do not come in with a "Win at all costs!" attitude. Use best judgment in regards to game play, and communicate with your opponent. If you think something is questionable according to the rules, ask your opponent before you do it. Communication with your opponent is key. Groupme.com Chat Rookie Symposium uses a Groupme Chat Room to communicate at all times of the day. All members are required to be included in the Chat Room. Send your groupme info to mmorgan184 or any other member to get added to the room. Personnel Depth Chart needs to be adjusted before entering a game. (by 8am CST the day before the advance) Any owner who does not post a REQUIRED game summary within 3 days after the game is finished will receive 1 strike. If a team accumulates 2 strikes the owner will be suspended for 1 game (placed on AP). If a team accumulates 3 strikes the owner will be removed from the league indefinitely. Forum Etiquette RESPECT ONE ANOTHER AT ALL TIMES. Do not make it a habit of complaining about a person’s game play without first asking yourself, “why am I mad?” If the answer is because you could not stop their offense or they caught you off guard on defense, then hit the practice field and move on. If there is a rule infraction or dispute during a game, pause the game and communicate the concern with your opponent. If you are unable to resolve the problem among yourselves, get an available staff member involved. At no point should either owner involved in a dispute disrespect their opponent via messenger, or berate their opponent publicly in the forum. The league staff reserves the right to remove any owner that violates the code of conduct as it has been outlined here. Forum Code Of Conduct TSO plays an integral part in the development of NCAA, Madden, and potentially other genres in the future. ALL Rookie Symposium Football league members, present and future alike, are required to recognize and respect that TSO is the governing body of all leagues within the community. YOUR voice is important. Just as you did by completing your TSO application, each league member is required to confirm publicly that they will respect and contribute to the TSO community. Any deviation from that will result in the immediate dismissal from Rookie Symposium and the TSO community.
