Our story starts right after Starting Pitcher Tyler Rogoff was drafted by the Miami Marlins in the 6th round. Rogoff had hopes of being drafted earlier, but two bad outings in the rookie showcase killed his draft stock. But the Marlins are a team that the young pitcher has enjoyed watching in his career, so he signed with them instead of going back to school.

Rogoff was the opening day starter for the Jacksonville Sun, Miami's AA affiliate. The only mistake made all day by Rogoff was a 2 run bomb in the 4th inning. Other than that, it was an excellent start for the rookie. The bullpen blew the lead, though, and a 4-2 lead after 7 became a 5-4 loss for the Suns.

Another solid outing for the young pitcher, this time culminating in a win and a player of the game award. Not as dominant as last time out, but his defense did him no favors, committing 3 errors. The one run allowed was off of a home run.

Another quality start for the rookie, who has looked much better pitching in AA ball than he did in the rookie showcase. No help offensively for him, though, as he left the game down 1-0 after 6 innings. The Suns did pull out the victory, however, winning the game 2-1.

A no hitter through 4 innings ends after a leadoff triple to start the 5th inning then an injury to Rogoff. Somehow, Rogoff bruised his hand throwing a pitch.

Another outstanding start for the youngster, culminating in his longest professional outing. Although he ended up giving up 6 hits, 3 were infield hits that should have been outs had the 3rd baseman and shortstop not thrown the ball like a girl. This outing netted Rogoff another win and player of the game award. Teams must be second guessing not drafting Rogoff in the first 5 rounds, and the Marlins feel like they got a gem.

After only one month in AA ball, the Marlins have decided to promote SP Tyler Rogoff to the AAA New Orleans Zephyrs!

Just traded this in for the PS4 version. Will revamp this thread for that RTTS.
