Rules Committee Vote - Clarification of Trade Cap Hit Rule

    The rule currently states:
What this rule does not cover is trades that take place in said offseason, do those teams take cap hits?

Please vote for what should be done.

I vote for all trades to carry cap hits if over the minimum bid at all times. If they cut a player during the first part of the offseason then no cap hit, but if traded, cap hit.

If a player is cut AFTER the draft is STARTED then the player carries a cap hit. Any player cut before the draft on Sunday, maybe cut with no cap hit.

    Those are my two additions.

I thought that was the rule. I think it is important to keep those cap hits when a player is traded. Anything over the minimum should stay on the cap. Otherwise I would have traded some of my players instead of cutting them for mandatory.
