    TSO WORLD CUP

Introducing the TSO World Cup. This tournament will run through the entire game cycle, from friendlies to qualification to the TSO World Cup at the end of the cycle (August).

    GAMEPLAY
Standard TSO/TFS Gameplay Rules & Regulations apply. Refer to this thread for full details.

    SCHEDULE
International Windows have been scheduled throughout the TFS League schedule. This means the tournament will require NO extra matches per week.

    FRIENDLIES
Friendlies will be self-scheduled by managers, and are optional to complete. A scheduling thread will be posted ahead of these windows. Each manager is allowed to play 3 official friendlies in a given International Window, against 3 different teams. Official Friendlies can only be played during these windows.

    QUALIFICATION
In our 32-team structure, we have defined 3 regions of competition: European (16 teams), North/South America (8 teams), and Africa/Asia (8 teams). Each region will compete in a round-robin group stage, playing a total of 6 qualification matches. Qualifiers must be completed by the August 1 cutoff date.

European Qualification: 16 teams - 4 groups of 4 - top 2 in each group advance to World Cup

Americas Qualification: 8 teams - 2 groups of 4 - top 2 in each group advance to World Cup

Africa/Asia Qualification: 8 teams - 2 groups of 4 - top 2 in each group advance to World Cup

    WORLD CUP
The TSO World Cup will be a standalone tournament played at the conclusion of the last TFS season. 4 groups of 4 teams will play a group stage consisting of 3 matches. The top 2 teams in each group advance to the knockout round.

    TEAM SELECTION
Each manager will draft one international team to use for the entire game cycle. The draft order will be predetermined based on past results, seasons completed, and completion percentage.

Creation Centre teams may be utilized, but must be approved by management. Team rosters may be manipulated with any eligible national team player in the game for all Friendlies and throughout Qualification. You must carry 3 GK on your roster at all times. Finalized rosters must be submitted for World Cup.

“Heritage Team” applications will be accepted for managers who have a strong and legitimate tie to a certain national team. This will not apply to the United States, since most of our members are American.

    TEAM CHANGES
Any TFS team that is vacated during S11 or S12 will be replaced with a new manager. These managers may choose a different team in the vacated region to manage.

After S13, all international teams competing in World Cup become locked. If a TFS manager joins after S13, they are ineligible for World Cup in the cycle, but can still select any unlocked international team to manage for friendlies.
