I don't know. It sits pretty low right now with those wheels and I have enough trouble with speed bumps already. I'm going to put some spacers in the rear tires for sure to make them stick out a little more. I might eventually buy a different set of wheels with bigger tires because I want to put the Nismo kit on it and those wheels are not going to fly with that kit. I'm mainly working on power right now. Probably going to throw a throttle body spacer in there here soon along with some test pipes and an AP chip. Then it's just saving up money for the turbo or super. Havn't made up my mind though.
Thats whats up. Turbo would probably save some bones over the supercharger -- either way your Z would be flying. I'm biased but their is no prettier sound than a nice deep exhaust sound followed by a blowoff valve so I'd lean towards the turbo.
Thought I had a lead on a car in Killeen, TX today. Turns out the guy doesn't know what he's talking about... Good thing I figured that out before the 3.5 hour drive.
Sweet! I appreciate your advice. I don't know if I'm going to even touch the exhaust other than those test pipes. Nissan makes one of the best sounding exhaust systems I have ever heard so it's going to be hard to replace that stock unit.
Yeah, Drifter, that is the unfortunate thing about some people. I always have a good laugh at the CL ads for cars.
Welcome to team NISMO Decay! I am a big fan of the 370z but I like the previous model as well congrats! I noticed this thread for the first time last week so I took a quick photo the other morning myself.
Wait, doesn't the 370 share the same engine as the G35? I know the G35 has the "skyline" engine or is that the G37? Or was the G series the "American Skyline" basically? Man, I just confused myself -- gotta get out this Lexus and back into the "Nissan" world
I think the 370z shares the engine with the G37. I don't think it's the skyline engine. But I'm too lazy to look it up.
The G35/350Z have the VQ35DE. The G37/370Z have the VQ37VHR. The US GTR has the VR38DETT, and it has been changed for the recent model year. All amazing engines.
GTR = 80k+ Not saying you can't afford it, as I know nothing about you, but that car is head and shoulders above pretty much anything under 100K right now.
GTR will smoke cars way above the 100k pricepoint... I'll post a YouTube vid later that you won't believe
Already seen this actually. Pretty stupid race. Missing a Lambo and a Viper. A BMW 1 series? Really? They got two different Porshe's. The Lotus racing in that was a joke and so was the Mustang.
That BMW 1 series is a nasty car. And the GTR would still own the race. I don't know what year that GTR is in there, can't remember, but the new model is making even more power. Mild modification on a GT-R
If you can afford a GTR wth you messing around with a 370z?? LOL A guy owns one near me so I see him around the main street. When we pull off from a light, not racing of course, it's like my car is in quicksand compared to his.
