Heres my dream list of cars I'd like to see drag race at once. McLaren F1 McLaren MP4-12C Lamborghini Aventador Ferrari Enzo Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR Corvette ZR1 Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren Porsche Carrera GT I think any one of those cars could win in a quarter mile. Would be a hell of a race. I left out certain cars like the Bugatti Veyron, as it is in higher class of speed. Heres a list of street legal cars that would give the Bugatti a run for its money in a race.... Bugatti Veyron Saleen S7 Competition Hennessey Venom GT Hennessey Viper 1000TT Koenigsegg CCXR SSC Ultimate Areo And what do all of those cars have in common? 1000+ horsepower! Anybody else got any cars that would run with these monsters? Keller how do you think your Supra would fair? Lol.
I have heard about every car except for the SSC Ultimate Areo.... and damn that is a nice lookin ride Spoiler I also really like the Saleen S7 also... =========================== Anyways back from fantasy land Wanna throw some nice Black rims on the Acura and black it out Just gotta find the right ones and of course where dat cash goin to come from
Nothing beats the exhaust growl coming out of a big V-8 to me... haha. I love giving it a bit of gas while going under an overpass. Kind of like the Harley riders lol
ya the GT-R has about 0.6 - 0.7 seconds on mine in the quarter, similar engine outputs, but it is a bit lighter... Though if I went the bigger pulley route, I could jump it up to the 600 hp range cheap and easy
Maybe, but you start hitting some corners and I doubt it would be close. Ever seen that video where the guy gave himself whiplash while tracking the GT-R? lol.
Ya I know, it has been an arms race between Chevy and Ford. The new ZL-1 Camaro or whatever it is called has 580, so this is Fords response. Price tag will be an issue on that one though. It will be somewhat scarce and dealers will markup the hell out of it. I got lucky and got my 540 horses at a bargain of 49k after they knocked 15k off the sticker to get me to buy it. Not many are buying higher end performance vehicles with the way the economy has been going...
I am sure it may have the cornering edge, and the lighter weight helps it and of course the all wheel drive, but this car isnt just an engine upgrade. It has a full Roush suspension system upgrade throughout the car. It is so tight when I hit and accelerate through corners it is amazing. I have driven regular a GT and the Camaro SS before it, and the handling difference is night and day, they dont even compare. So, while I will grant it has the edge there, I dont think it is as far apart as you are thinking

No you dont. I have a Roush 540RH. http://www.mustang50magazine.com/featuredvehicles/m5lp_1007_2010_roush_540rh/viewall.html
The SSC actually held the record for the fastest production car for a little while. AND it's all american. Im not crazy about the two tone colors with red and black. I think it looks better in one solid color.
Touche but that Red/Black is nice... and I just went with the picture of the car I liked.... speaking of Rims the ones in that picture wouldnt be that bad
Craziest thing about that, look at times on the Nurburgring (Nordschleife Full) and look at the power to weight ratio of the GT-R compared to all the other vehicles ahead of and behind it. Unreal how well that thing performs for what it is. There is not a car heavier than it until you get to #13, and there is not a car making less power than it until #16. The new car with the new setup under the hood will pick up another 3-4 seconds on that course, maybe more. Still a technological marvel. The car that is closest in P/W is the Audi R8 4.2 FSI quattro, and it is running almost a full 20 seconds slower per lap.
Oh, I saw rushers post and assumed it was dream cars. Here we go: Hated the color at first, but have fallen in love with it since. 2009 deluxe edish with leather, bose, etc...got a hell of a deal on it when it only had 15k miles.
Nice, I just got this today (pending the bank approving my loan)- kind of excited about it.. pretty much why I revived this thread. Fackin thing has a heated steering wheel, AC and heated seats.. pretty schnazzy for the Dakotas I guess.
my first pickup (vehicle prior to this one) was white, so I do like it. It sure looks pretty when it's clean, but when it's dirty... it's dirty haha.
Yeah, that's always been my qualm with white/black cars. Guess you'll just have to do more shirtless car washes for the babes. What kinda gas mileage does that bad boy get?
I was getting 15 around town today which is good. It helps that I can take the truck route / highway around town to and from work though. The 6.2 actually does pretty good (better than i thought it would).
About 6 months ago I got this Mazda 6s Grand Touring. It's got the 3.7L V6 fully loaded with NAV and all that shit. Now...to the good stuff. I carpool to work with 2 other guys and this is what they bring to the table.
