    Ryno's Music/Video thread...

This thread serves as a landscape for all things i deem worthy...

Some videos, music, art and articles i like, im going to put in here.. kinda of like a diary of all that inspires me.

Make fun if you like... absorb if you can... contemplate when it's necessary. All i ask is that you leave all the content to me.

    Thanks

IMO, one of the best songs ever, simply for the history behind it. If I remember the whole story, the CD was due to be released on Sept 11th. POD obviously pulled it and prob lost millions in the process. A few weeks later it was released with the song "Alive" as the 1st single, and the donated alot of money from the song to the families of 9-11. Not to mention the song, and entire CD, are great...just an awesome gesture by the band.

That was probably the first song I ever felt attachment to. I had seen music videos before but that was the first one that stuck with me, the gesture as Juggs said with the 9/11 thing was indeed a great thing.

POD is a pretty good band, and fun to see in person, have seen them twice here in the S.D. area.

Ryno you might like Dogwood. Have quite a few friends that really like them and you will like their message. He has a few songs about his son which I know would connect with you.

How could a song called "Pull it out" have anything to do with kids Helli? ;)

I'm in a band, were working on our original stuff right now (we have about 6 songs.. but we have to tighten them up, some of us are just learning them) but we are going to need some covers for gigs were going to be doing...

Here's some of the possibilities we are tossing around... Ignore some of the videos... i just tried to get the best sounding recording...

Do you play an instrument or sing or what in your band? Sounds like a fun project, and those are some good cover tunes.

i play bass... im not talented enough for the singing/songwriting... we have a guy who is very creative and can sing lights out fronting the band. There is no need for me to do anything except be the best bass player i can be.

I love that Mat Weddle cover of Hey Ya. It's been on my playlists for a long time now.
