Nevada 31 Fresno State 24NevadaThe Nevada Wolfpack 5-2 (4-0) hosted Fresno State 4-3 (2-2) in week 8 looking to push Coach Zikry's undefeated start with the team to 5 games. The game started out well for Nevada as they would force Fresno State to punt before going on a scoring drive, capped off by a 2 yard pass by Magleby to his fullback, Taylor George (highlight on hub). Fresno State would respond right away, as they put their first points on the board thanks to a 25 yard field goal. Then, Nevada would strike again, as their second play on their ensuing drive Mason Magleby dropped back and zipped a ball to LJ Washington who was able to hit the outside and run the rest of the way, taking it in for a 68 yard score giving the Wolfpack the 14-3 lead after 1.The 2nd quarter was quiet in terms of scoring, as Fresno got the only points in the quarter with 44 seconds left in the half thanks to a 6 yard pass from Taylor Stirewalt to Jamel Hamler as Fresno was able to narrow their deficit heading into the half, 14-10.The 3rd quarter was all Nevada, as they scored 10 unanswered points. First Mason Magleby threw for his 3rd touchdown on the day, as he found Brandon Wimberly for a 35 yard score (highlight on hub) , and about a minute later, thanks to an interception, Nevada were able to tack on a field goal from 39 yards out to take a 24-10 lead into the 4th quarter.Fresno State were able to come up with a huge play early in the 4th quarter as Mason Magleby threw the ball up for grabs facing heavy pressure on 3rd down, and was only able to find FS Phillip Thomas, who intercepted the ball and took it back for the score from 50 yards out to give Fresno some new hope in the game, narrowing the deficit to a one score game at 24-17. Mason Magleby was able to shake off that mistake though, and drove his team down the field and eventually threw his 4th touchdown on the day, finding Tray Session from 4 yards out (highlight on hub) to give Nevada that 14 point lead back at 31-17. Fresno would not quit though, as Marcus McDade, who came in for an injured Taylor Stirewalt, hit his tight end in the middle of the field who was able to run it the rest of the way as Nevada was caught cold on a heavy blitz. Down only 7 with over 2 minutes in the game and with all their timeouts left, Fresno kicked it off to Nevada. They would never see the ball again as Nevada was able to run for a key first down as they held on for the 31-24 win. With the win Nevada, 6-2 (5-0) keep within touching distance of WAC Conference leaders Hawaii. Next week the Wolfpack have an out of conference game as they travel to face UAB.Nevada Player Stats:QB Mason Magleby: 23-37, 397 yards, 4 TDs, 2 INTsHB Mike Ball: 22 rush attempts, 51 yards.WR Tray Session: 5 catches, 92 yards, 1 TDWR Brandon Wimberly: 6 catches, 88 yards, 1 TD.

After a slow start Rice blows away Tulane.
Locked up at 7-7 during the break, both teams were in grid lock. When Sam McGuffie touches the ball, be prepared. Sam can take it yard any time the ball is in his hands. McGuffie lead the outbreak of points late in the 3rd helping the Owls continue their 4 game winning streak and perfect conference record. In 2 Weeks, the Owls get there shot at UTEP and a chance to punch their tickets to the CCG.
Rice Walks away 42-14
SDSU beats up on the hapless Lobos.
The Aztec air show continued. Ryan Lindley lead the team to a 35-7 halftime lead on the strength of 3 touchdowns. While he did throw 2 interceptions Lindley looked solid, throwing for 418 Yds in one half of football.
Ryan Clark came on in relief for the second half and mostly handed the ball off to Ronnie Hillman who had his best game of the year, going 75 yards on 11 attempts.
The Aztec D chipped in, allowing alot of yards, but keeping New Mexico mostly off the scoreboard. Special teams also pitched in with a forced fumble that was scooped for 6 points.
Final score 35-10.
Controversial Call Changes Game
UNLV 24 Utah 39
UNLV had a 17-14 lead in the 2nd quarter on the Utah Utes and would intercept a Wynn pass to give them the ball to go up two scores...but unfortunately, the interception happened on the worst possible spot on the field...the UNLV one inch line. The defenders momentum carried him into the endzone, where he would be tackled, resulting in a safety, giving Utah 2 points, and the ball. The Utes would go on to score, giving them a 23-17 lead and they would not relinquish that lead for the duration. UNLV made it a game late, by scoring a TD, then intercepting a pass on 3rd and 1 with 1:40 left, but nothing would come from it as UNLV drops another one.
Hawaii 38 Idaho 28
A very tough game played at the Kibbie dome in Idaho, Idaho took the lead early in the 1st quarter as Hawaii just struggled vs the Vandals Def. Then Hawaii came alive with a td pass from Moniz and a 7-3 lead, Then the Warriors extended it to 14-3 after a fumble on the KO by the Vandals, then the Warriors extended it to 21-3 with a td pass from Moniz to TE Moore. Then Idaho kicked a FG near the Half to cut it to 21-6. Then in the 3rd quarter both defenses started to exert themselves as both specials teams took control. Idaho returned a fumble for a TD and Hawaii still lead 21-13. Then Hawaii then drove it down and Booted a FG to extend the lead to 24-13 as the 3rd quarter ended. Then in the 4th quarter Hawaii drove down (losing Moniz for the quarter) as Austin threw a Td pass to Pollard and a 31-13 Hawaii lead. Then Idaho drove it down and ran it in for the td and 31-20 Hawaii Lead. Then Hawaii then took their No-Huddle offense to a Td pass as Moniz returned to Throw the TD and a 38-20 4th quater lead. Then after holding Idaho to a Punt, Moniz changed the play to a pass and threw a INT and Idaho returned it for a TD. Idaho converted the 2 pnt conver. and Hawaii's lead cut to 38-28. Then Idaho tried a onside kick and Recovered, But a penalty flag came flying as Idaho was flagged for 1st Touching and Hawaii then just Kneeled the ball down to end the game.
Hawaii goes to 7-1 and 5-0 in Conf play.
