I hope you guys are ready for SUPER CPU

    Texas A&M-27 Rice-24

Well, the Aggies almost blew their season before week 2 by winning in the season opener by 3. It started ugly when Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel was sacked 3 times the first drive and injured his hand on the 3rd sack. Manziel had to leave the game after completing his only pass, but is expected to play next week vs Florida State. Freshman Matt Davis had to step in and take over for the reigning Heisman Trophy winner. Davis went 16-19 with 2 scores and 2 INTs including a scamper for a TD. If there was ANY upside to the opener is that Mike Evans is showing people his freshman year was no fluke. Evans caught 7 passes for 79 yards including 2 scores. Right behind him was highly touted freshman Ricky Seals-Jones with 74 yards. A&M's run game was horrendous to say the least. The OL couldnt get any push and RB Ben Melina paid for it with 19 carries for only 74 yards. The defense didnt do so well either, allowing Owls QB McHargue to run for 68 yards on 9 touches. The Owls read option game couldn't get off the field and drove easily against Texas A&M. The key moment was when Texas A&M held Rice to a FG after starting 1st and goal on the 2 with 3:30 on the clock. After the FG, Texas A&M shook off the cobwebs and drove down the field to give kicker Bertolet the chance to be a hero. Although shaky his freshman year, Bertolet redeemed himself with a 37-yard game winning FG as time expired. MLB Donnie Baggs had himself a nice game with 4 TFL including a sack. CB Deshazor Everett also had a key pick in the 3rd

    Key Stats:
    QB Davis: 16-19, 198 Yards 2 TDs, 2 INTs, 8 carries for -7 yards, 1 TD
RB Malena: 19 carries for 74 yards , 2 receptions for 22 yards
WR Evans: 7 receptions for 79 yards, 2 TDs
    WR Seals-Jones: 3 receptions for 74 yards
MLB Baggs: 5 tackles, 4 TFL, sack

FYI, you can make tables like this:

    A B C
    1 2 3
    X Y Z

    <TABLE=head>A|B|C
    1|2|3
    X|Y|Z</TABLE>

I've done them before, but every time I do I have to copy and paste. Sometimes it works and sometimes it mysteriously doesn't

Edit: I may clean it up later, but who knows.

When it does, click edit and then the little 'A' in the upper right of the editor and you'll see what's wrong.

PREGAME: Florida kicks off it's 2013 season in the Swamp as they welcome the Toledo Rockets. The Gator defense will get a stiff test from the no-huddle attack led by QB Terrance Owens, while Jordan Haden (brother of former Gators' CB Joe Haden) is one of the playmakers for the defense. Sunny day, clear skies, and a slight breeze is the weather. Toledo won the toss and defers, so Florida will get the ball to start.
    1ST QUARTER
7:00: Andre Debose receives the kickoff and takes it back to the 24 yd line and Jeff Driskel will get the ball there to start the game.
5:55: Not the start the offense wanted. After a 10 yd Matt Jones rush, Driskel was sacked and then threw an interception, and Toledo will get the ball deep in Florida territory to start.
4:56: Ronald Powell has come out to play today. Two straight sacks and the Rockets are held to only a FG, 3-0 Toledo (Word is coming in that Vandy has held off Ole Miss).
2:43: Coach Justin White is showing early that he's not scared to take chances, but they are not paying off as a 4th down attempt from the 50 is stuffed short and Toledo is getting the ball again just shy of the Gators' side of the ball.
1:06: We are in for a defensive battle. Toledo got some momentum on this drive, but the Florida pressure stepped again and forced another FG. 6-0 Toledo.
0:06: Jeff Driskel does not have it today, as he throws into coverage again and Toledo gets the INT and starts in Florida territory again.
END OF 1ST, START OF 2ND QUARTER
6:54: Toledo finally takes advantage of the field position, as Owens hits Bernard Reedy down the field for a TD, 13-0 Toledo
5:40: Again, Florida keeps shooting themselves in the foot. After a huge KO Return by Debose, the Gators go 3 and out and have to punt. Toledo gets the ball on their 25.
3:23: The Florida defense is doing their best, but Toledo is just doing what they need to do, but they leave 4 points on the field again with another FG. 16-0 Toledo.
1:17: Florida finally puts a drive together. Driskel felt a lot better with his decision making on that drive, and it led to a 23 yd TD pass to Latroy Pittman. 16-7 Toledo.
0:50: The crowd is back into the game as the defense forces a 3 and out. Florida will get the ball back, and if they score here it is a totally different game going into halftime.
0:12: The Florida offense is rolling now. Driskel has overcome his two early INTs and is now making the right throws and reads, ending the drive punching it in on the option keep to make it 16-14 Toledo going into halftime.
HALFTIME, START OF THE 3RD QUARTER
7:00: Florida kicks the ball out the back of the endzone and Terrance Owens and the Rockets will get the ball at the 25 yd line to start the 2nd half.
4:50: Florida's defense is in full bend, don't break mode as Toledo drives into Florida territory but is stalled once again and takes the FG to go up 19-14 (also, Miss. State has completed the upset of Oklahoma State, winning 41-20).
1:48: Florida keeps the momentum gained from the end of the half going, as the rushing game leads the team down the field, and Driskel hits Debose for a 5 yd TD. Colin Thompson, who had a big catch to kickstart the drive, drops the 2 pt conversion in the endzone and Florida only goes up 20-19.
0:00: Toledo makes their first mistake of the game, as Owens is hit hard in the backfield and fumbles, and Florida recovers as we head into the 4th.
END OF 3RD, START OF 4TH QUARTER
6:05: The Rockets' defense steps up and forces a 3 and out, and Toledo gets the ball on their 45.
4:34: Owens leads a masterful drive as Toledo marches down for a TD and the 2 pt conversion to make it 27-20.
4:23: ANDRE DEBOSE ANSWERS RIGHT BACK. He takes the kickoff back 94 yards for a score and we have a tie game, 27-27.
2:55: The Florida defense responds with a 3 and out, and Florida gets the ball on their 38.
0:42: The Florida rushing game takes care of business and drives all the way down the field, with Jones rushing it in from 3 yds out to make it 34-27 with under a minute left.
0:25: Toledo breaks under the pressure and a 4th down sack seals this one for the Gators.
    FINAL: FLORIDA 34, TOLEDO 27
POSTGAME: I don't think anyone expected that close of a game today. Florida's offense really started cold, and for awhile it looked like Toledo was on their way to the biggest win in school history, but the defense held on long enough for the offense, and when they got going, the game changed.
Outside of the 2 INTs, Driskel had an efficient day, going 11-15 for 174 and 2 TDs. Matt Jones showed he can be the back, rushing for 110 yards on 21 carries and the winning TD. Ronald and Jeremi Powell both had 2 sacks each for the defense, as that pressure kept Toledo on their toes. Speaking for the Rockets, Terrance Owens went 17-31 for 223 yds and 1 TD, while rushing for another 64 yds.
Florida meets Old Dominon next week and it will be interesting to see how they improve off of this disappointing performance.

FAWho? The Hurricanes opened 2013 right by blasting their cross-state opponent.

The first half was actually much closer than it should have been as Miami led by a score of 17-10. However, the superior ability of the Canes kicked into gear in the third quarter as Miami outscored the Owls 28-0.

The star player of the game was true freshman CB Artie Burns who had three tackles and a pick-six in three quarters of play.

Tar Heels Start off With Win
    Columbia, SC
The University of North Carolina travels to the University of South Carolina. The Heels would start off the with the ball and move the ball well till SC would stop them and force a 43 yard field goal from Thomas Moore. South Carolina would answer back with a impressive drive. It would be capped off by a Brandon Wilds 3 yard score. That would put the Gamecocks up 7-3. After a change of possession, Tyler Hull would smash a 40 yard field goal. UNC would drive back down the field and have big fullback Connor Garret rumble into the endzone. The Heels would score 10 more points. 3 points from Moore on a 21 yard field goal. AJ Blue would caught a screen pass from Bryn Renner for 25 yards. On the ensuing kcik off Shon Carson of South Carolina would take it 102 yards for the score. Trying to wind the clock down they were forced to another 41 yard field goal from Moore. South Carolina would try one more time to score. With 1 second on the clock they could not connect on the pass and Heels take home the W.

" We play pretty lights out on offense cant say much there. When your QB only misses one throw and now turnovers, then your looking good. The defense gameplan was to cover Sammy Watkins with doubles and we were successful for the most part, but we gave up a TD pass to him. We controlled the clock and we controlled pretty much the game. Good job by us. We are looking to South Carolina next." Coach_III

SHOCKER!!!! #1 GOES DOWN WEEK 1
Virginia Tech pulls out the upset by going for 2 in the 1st over time and getting it, The Hokies win 25-24.
It was a very even game all the way through, both offenses making key mistakes while also looking unstoppable at times. Bama would score first on the opening drive on a 6 yd TD pass from AJ McCarron, Va Tech would answer back with a 6 yd TD pass of there own from Logan Thomas, then just before the half Kendall Fuller would intercept a pass to seemingly end the half but a roughing the passer penalty would move Bama in field goal range and they would take a 10-7 lead into the half.
Va tech would get the ball first in the second half and march down the field and take the lead on an 8 yd run by Tony Gregory, Tech up 14-10. Later on in the 4th quarter McCarron would hook up with TE Brian Vogler for his 2nd TD of the game to put The Crimson Tide up 17-14 with 4 minutes to play. Va Tech trying to over come many tough losses in the past few years against good teams would drive down the field and get inside the redzone when Kevin Asante would drop a pass that wouldve gave Va Tech a 1st down on 3rd and medium but instead The Hokies had to settle for the field goal and we would go to OT.
Bama would get the ball first and after an opening play sack AJ McCarron would scramble for 19 yds and a 1st down then on the next play he would hit TJ Yeldon out of the backfield for a 13 yd TD and a 24-17 lead. The Hokies would come out on offense and move the ball quickly deep in Bama territory where Logan Thomas would hit Kevin Asante(remove's Goat Horns) for a 5 yd TD reception. Now heres where, as a coach you live or die with a decision, kick and move on to the next OT or go for it and 1 play decides the game. Its easier to make this decision when your unranked, out classed and have the big dogs on the ropes. Boom! knockout punch consider the Monkey off the Hokies back.

    AJ McCarron 15/17 274 yds 3 TD's and 2 INT's

    Logan Thomas 21/27 211 yds 2 TD's and 2 INT's 4 carries 45 yds

    Defensive Player of the Game
Kendall Fuller 4 tackles and 2 INTs both in the EndZone

    Week 1: LSU vs TCU
    LSU 28
    TCU 21

What a match up for week one, the LSU Tigers go into a hostile raging crowd, home field of the Horned Frogs of TCU. Tough game, everything seemed to be working for the Horned Frogs as looked to keep the crowd entertained. The Tigers got the opening kickoff and things started going down hill from there. TCU's D.Fields scores on a fumble return of 47 yds, the fumble was by QB Mettenberger. TCU 7- LSU 0. LSU gets the ball again and can't keep the TCU defense off balance, a punt and a nice defensive stop by LSU to get the ball back. #3 WR O.Beckham scores at the end of the 1st quarter to tie it up.

TCU took the ball down the field, and on a 3rd on 7 threw a screen pass to RB W.James for a 34 yard td pass from C. Pachall to retake the lead early in the second quarter. LSU then drove the ball back down on some nice competitions from Mettenberger to score and tie the game back up. The Tigers had a chance to take the lead at the end of the half, but missed a 51 yard field goal. TCU 14- LSU 14 at half-time.

TCU received the ball to start the 2nd half. RB W.James broke to the outside and was gone for a 75 yard td run. The TCU crowd was going nuts. TCU 21- LSU 14. LSU tried to take the crowd out of it, because they were pumping up the Horned Frogs defense. The Tigers marched it down to the 6 yard line, and Mettenberger had his 2nd turn over of the game. Throwing an INT in the end zone. LSU's defense steps it up and puts the drive to an end causing a TCU punt. Mettenberger and crew drive the ball down again and scores on a 6 yard pass play to close out the 3rd quarter. TCU 21- LSU 21.

The tough LSU defense was tested all game, the unit came together and stopped the next TCU drive to give the momentum to the offense. Another few great passes by Mettenberger and a great o-line push for a td run by RB J.Hill to finally take the lead in early in the 4th quarter. TCU 21- LSU 28. The Tiger's defense gets another huge stop to make TCU punt the ball at their 42 yard line. The offense controls the ball after the punt, driving the field getting the Horned Frogs to burn all of their time outs. Then let the clock run out to cap off a well played tough game. Way to go Tigers!!

    LSU:
#8 QB Z. Mettenberger 27/42 for 430 yards 3 td's and 1 int, 1 fumble (Player of the game honors)
    #33 RB J.Hill 11 atts for 63 yds 1 td
    #3 O. Beckham 7 recs for 141 yds 1 td
    #80 J.Landry 6 recs for 80 yds 1 td

    TCU:

    QB C.Pachall 7/12 for 63 yds 1 td 0 int
    RB W.James 14 atts for 117 yds 8.3 avg. 2 tds

webbs and I had a great game and both teams had chances to put it away at different points. I will say that running is too easy unless your line gets pushed back. Especially the read option. I'm trying to throttle that because it was a little ridiculous. Also, only one of the times during our game did anyone drop a pick and no passes were dropped that I can remember. Did anyone else see those trends?

Jameis Winston fires a TD pass under pressure to TE Nick O'Leary
    ==================================
Pittsburgh, PA-- Florida State welcomed a new foe into the conference as Pittsburgh hosted this Labor Day night game. The Noles were pushed a little more to be expected even though Jameis Winston took his first snaps as starter for the contending Seminoles. Bennett opened some eyes around the Nation as he nearly put 200 rushing yards on the Seminoles defense, something that left Coach Knight disgusted. Something that will need to worked on before traveling to College Station to take on A&M.

Sorry it took me so long to play fellas, been an annoying couple of days, but with that said...

    Terrapins Rout Florida International

College Park, MD- In the first game of Coach Broth's era Terrapin fans weren't holding their breath after the success or lack ther of his predecessor had had. It wasn't long into there 38-10 victory that Terp fans could see amazing improvement. The offense looked unstoppable accumulating 384 yards with QB CJ Brown throwing for a remarkable 81% completion percentage. Which doesn't seem as impressive when you look at Stefon Diggs and Deon Long his 2 top targets who accounted for 115 of Maryland's 190 pasing yards. Wes Brown also had a nice performance adding 100 yards on the ground with an impressive 4.7 YPC. But the thing to remember Terp fans is to keep expectations low and see what happens in Connecticut next week.
