That's good to hear. Yea if you guys can't play until Thursday, and weather looks to be bad then anyways, I'd just postpone it, especially if the other game is getting played today. But then again I just want to get this week moving along so that we can get into the cup games sooner because thursday-sunday is going to be pretty tough for me to get any games in.

There shouldn't need to be any rule on this. If the lag is that bad early on that you can't play the game, then pause, and PSN your opponent. Don't wait. If you wait before proposing a start over, that's when there is problems. "Rule of thumb" that should be common knowledge...if it is too bad to start that you can't play, then say something.

That's what I would have done, nicely said. Shiftee actually came up with making it a rule, I was quoting him. It's not my fault, he did it :D

all I meant was that if lag is affecting gameplay to a point where it's not playable (can't pass, can't really run or move the ball where you want, etc), it won't just be in the first 3 minutes it will be the entire game because that's how the connection quality happens to be between you and your opponent for whatever reason at that time.

Cimmy is right we don't need a rule for this especially seeing as this hasn't been something that's been happening often. But it should be common sense that if you feel lag will affect gameplay, it's something that's mentioned from the start and not 10 mins into a game or after a goal is scored. At that point it's too late and the show must go on.

gg Ucan. I was very fortunate to get the victory. You outplayed me. I scored a lucky goal. You hit the post at least two times. In the 45th minute you had those two near misses on the corners. Good luck the rest the of the way.

Hamburg Displays Offensive Showcase, Takes Down Wolfsburg 4-1
After last week's defeat to German foes FC Schalke 04, Hamburger SV had a chance to redeem themselves against another German club- VfL Wolfsburg. Hamburg has also drawn Wolfsburg for the second round of the TFL Cup, so this match looked to be an important precursor to that match. The game started without much action for the first half hour, but in the 34th minute, Piotr Trochowski gave Hamburg a 1-0 lead with a pretty give and go pass sequence. VfL Wolfsburg nearly tied the match up just before the half on a corner kick, but Wolfsburg's Brazilian striker Grafite was inches away from heading in the tying goal. However, in the 52nd minute, Patrick Helmes was able to convert his own headed attempt, and the match was then tied at 1. After this point, it was almost as if Hamburg had flipped a switch. The match seemed relatively even for the first 55 or so minutes, but the Hamburg attack would not go away silently. Ruud Van Nistelrooy, who has led the league thus far in assists, only had 1 goal to his credit before this game. While he has provided chances for others throughout the year, Hamburg supporters were beginning to question his poor shooting. Looking to prove his doubters wrong, Van Nistelrooy converted 2 quick goals, one in the 58th minute that curled just inside the post, and another in the 64th minute. "It was nice to get that monkey off of my back," said Van Nistelrooy following the match. "You can't get too high on the highs or too low on the lows. I know my role here, and I'm glad that my performace led to 3 points today." With the Wolfsburg faithful suddenly quiet, Mladen Petric secured the victory with his own goal in the 81st minute, his 7th of the season. Hamburg finished the match up 4-1, and now has 6 victories in their first 9 matches, for a total of 18 points. Later in the week, Hamburg will face off against Genoa. As for Wolfsburg, Hamburg will meet the German club again soon in the highly anticipated TFL Cup.

    Udinese:
    :goal: Di Natale (80')
Udinese still having problems finishing but pull out a 1-0 victory over Wolfsburg with a late goal by their star A. Di Natale. Just like it's been the case in most of their games, Udinese had a very hard time finding the back of the net and wasting multiple good opportunties. It's an issue that the whole team is aware of and needs to be fixed right away if they want to be successful in this league.
Game started out with good possession by both teams and the Udinese defense were able to keep creative midfielder Diego and forward Grafite in check. 2nd half the visiting team created some good opportunities with some very nice crosses that almost ended with goals but the Udinese D worked hard not to let them get to close to their goal. Di Natale ran onto a pass by Sanchez and was able to tuck the ball away to the far post to give his team the lead. Although they were happy with the win they know that they need to do a better job finishing their chances.
Great game Cimmy - thought you were going to score on those two crosses. Good luck the rest of the way

FC Schalke came from behind in dramatic fashion at home to stun visiting Napoli and get 3 points after it looked like they would get none on the night. Things started out well for the home team as they took the lead on a Huntelaar goal, however that lead was quickly wiped out on a magnificent individual goal by Hamsik. The visitors took the lead right before half on a Cavani goal and things looked bleaked for the home team. Schalke kept the pressure up though in the 2nd half and their persistence paid off in the 75th minute when Kluge drove home the equalizer. With momentum on their side Schalke got the game winner as Raul put one in the back of the net for the 3-2 lead. Napoli furiously mounted an attack and nearly pulled their equalizer back however Schalke was able to hold on and preserve the 3 points. GG @grundlebug

Amazing game @UcanHateMeNow ! I had so many damn chances, especially those two corners where your defender on the line saved the ball from going in and then cleared it out. damn good game.

    Udinese:
    :goal: K. Asamoah (67')
Udinese continued their unbeaten run with a 1-0 win over Turkish side Bursapor but had some help from the soccer Gods and the posts as the goal from Asamoah hit off the right post, then the back of the diving goalie to the other post and in. Play started down the right side when Inler crossed the ball into the 6 yard box and was cleared by a Bursapor defender but found Asamoah who calmly chested the ball down and took a left footed shot that hit both posts and the goalie before it went in. Most of the game was controlled by a very organized and talented Turkish team who were able to pass the ball around but were not able to breakdown a tough Udinese defense who's prime task was to shut down the goal scoring machine of Kenny Miller.
GG man and GL the rest of the way - can't really take full credit for this win as that goal was a bit crazy and lucky

Hamburg Caps Week With Another 3-Goal Win
Hamburg came into the match anticipating a potential move up in the standings shortly before the midseason break, and the club did all it could to improve its position. In the 26th minute of the match, Ruud Van Nistelrooy continued his impressive week by gently rolling the ball pass the keeper and into the net for a 1-0 lead and his 3rd goal this week. Hamburg nearly missed on a couple of attempts around halftime, including a bender by Piotr Trochowski that bounced off the post. Then later in the match, while Van Nistelrooy has been on fire around the net as of late, Mladen Petric reminded us all why he has accounted for half of the team's goals this season. Looking to extend their lead, the attackers for Hamburg set up a beautiful passing attack in the 67th minute. Mladen Petric came up the left side of the pitch, dumped the ball off to Piotr Trochowski, who then preceded to pass it to Van Nistelrooy. Van Nistelrooy then immediately gave the ball back to Petric and the Croatian forward did not disappoint, converting the attack into a 2-0 lead for Hamburg. In the 79th minute, Hamburg again pushed on for another attack. After Hamburg barely missed a goal, Mladen Petric seemed to be in the right place at the right time next to the net, but his attempt hit off of the top post. But yet again, the Croatian had the ball fall to his feet, and he made sure to fire the ball into the back of the net this time for his 2nd goal of the match. The match ended 3-0, which capped a great week for the German club. Van Nistelrooy and Petric each had outstanding weeks, scoring 3 a piece, and the forwards' recent performances will likely propel Hamburg up the standings into 2nd place. But also of importance, goalkeeper Frank Rost recorded his 4th clean sheet of the year, his first in 6 matches. The offense and defense seem to be firing on all cylinders at the moment for Hamburger SV, but like Van Nistelrooy said following the last match, "You can't get too high on the highs or too low on the lows." Hamburg has Lille on its schedule next week, a team that still has yet to lose despite the club's high number of draws. For all of the Hamburgers in town, another win would be gladly appreciated.
