Swope Emerges in Aggies Victory
College Station, Tx-It was a chaotic week leading up to Saturday's home game for the Aggies of Texas A&M. Fresh after losing their star starting quarterback Jerrod Johnson for the season, questions emerged as to who would pick up the offense in his absence. Those questions were put to bed Saturday, as Ryan Swope delivered a thrilling offensive performance that renewed hope for the Aggie faithful. The junior WR made several jaw dropping plays, including a 14 yard rushing touchdown on which he eluded 3 FIU defenders.
Swope also connected on a 30 yard pass from now starting QB Ryan Tannehill, who looked comfortable behind center all day. Additionally, the rushing duo of Stephens and Gray combined for 242 yards in an impressive performance.
The Aggies starting defense, though only playing one half, also made a statement allowing 0 points and scoring two defensive TDs. There was also great special teams play for the second week in a row, like this PHENOMENAL kick coverage:
Dude take your vids off private. I wanna watch!!!
This game was one that had it all it had the exiting finish it had the turnovers, the big hits and even the great catches that put you on the edge of your seat. But it was a great 32-29 victory for the Hawkeyes.
This was all Iowa for two quarters but all man was the third quarter quiet there was no scores for in the third but it was all Arizona for the fourth and they took the lead in the fourth and then i finished of the game with :20 seconds left and scored on a option right ran to perfection.
My team stats weren't amazing but they were good enough to get me the win. and to push me for my third win in a row.
But on the other hand with my great team there weren't just one player that stood out in this game there were play makers every where.
This was a great game and i can't wait for my next game and i will bring my game like i have been and go Hawkeyes.
Peench, how would you rather do summaries? Looks like our guys are split. Do you want just one big thread for all of season one or would you rather break it up by team?
I was wondering the same thing. I could go either way, honestly. If I had to lean one way or the other I might like the individual team summaries (easier to track whose doing them). I can delete those threads and ask them to post in here. Any update on getting craig on here?
I haven't talked to him since he got back late last night. Definitely glad he was able to get his game in.
I like individual threads because they are much cleaner...
however, I feel it splits the discussion more because people don't go to every thread individuall a lot. So it don't know.
Cleaner feel and more organized, or little sloppier but more content?
Really don't know...what do you all think
im leaning towards one thread for all, ill be honest, if they were all split up i doubt i would read everybodies summary, just being honest.
yeah overdrive has it individual;y and people rarely read them...a lot less views than there should be
Dude, nice game. Good to win those close ones.
fear the BUFFALOES
Colorado || HawaiiThe Buffaloes played a strong game against the Hawaii's "Air Raid" offense. With two defensive touchdowns in the 4th quarter, and hard running from the Colorado backfield, it wasn't a game that they allowed to sneak up on them. Coach Gyrene76 had spoke about the potency of this offense and the dangerous 5 wide sets he had prepared his team for; however, he felt confident that such an imbalance would allow his playbook to be broadened and be more aggressive. The aggression paid off by leading to 4 Hawai'i turnovers that took them out of the the game's contention.

Wisconsin Rallies Past the Canes 31-21
After being down 14-0 in the second quarter the Badgers realized they were in a fight and started clawing thier way back to to victory, they would end the half down 21-10 and get the ball back. The Badgers struck fast with an 80 yard TD pass to WR Nick Toon he broke 2 tackles on the way to the promise land. Wisconsin's defense then got its turn and LB Borland jumped an out route by the Miami RB and returned it for 61 yards to paydirt. to take the lead 24-21 with 4:43 left in the third. Bruising running back John Clay then went to work and starte dputting the icing on the cake, but not before the Badgers added a little breathing room early in the 4th with a 20 yard pass to Nick Toon for a TD. The canes would try one last drive but an INT in the endzone ended that dream.
And the Beastliest run ive ever seen. THe DB at the end is out for 4 weeks because of this play.
Lol #17 must feel like a jack-wagon
Colorado:24 Georgia:30Tight FightIn a tight contest, Georgia edges Colorado 30-24. The stellar SEC defense proved too much for Colorado's O-line making the Buffs a one-dimensional team today. More plays like the one seen above would have helped, but AJ Green and the Georgia receiver core was too athletic for the Colorado defensive backs in this annual rivalry game.
