The Cincinnati Bengals came out and played outstanding football against the defending Super Bowl champions. Cincinnati looked like a well oiled machine, and the Giants played like a junked up Pinto. The Cincinnati defense would bend twice in the course of the game, but on both occasions the Giant offense would have to settle for field goals instead of touchdowns.

One thing made a suprise performance for Cincinnati, a run game. While not explosive, it was effective. Starting at the HB position was "The Running Reverend" Cedric Peerman for the 2nd time this season. Peerman made wise decisions regarding hole selection and finding cut back lanes. In the past he has shown himself fumble prone, and he proved that true today by putting the ball on the ground, but it was recovered by the offense. Peerman was also effective catching the ball out of the backfield in the flats and keeping the defense guessing by making them think twice about sending all out blitzes. Coach DU has decided that for the time being Peerman is going to be the starting halfback. He stated " Ced just needs a opportunity as a starter in this league to prove himself, and the way our run game has struggled this year, now's the time to find out if he can be a starting back in this league"

All in all it was a stout performance by the Bengals in which few mental errors were made.
