Iowa takes to the road to punish Badgers on their home turf
This game was Iowas to win from the opening kickoff. The Hawkeyes started the game with the ball and took their opening possession all the way down the field for a 12 scoring strike from QB J. Rudock to WR J. Cotton.
In response Wisconsin looked to match the tempo with their own decent drive, however the drive was abruptly halted when a McEvoy pass was intercepted deep in Iowa territory. Iowa was able to turn that into another 7 points via a 2 yard TD run from standout HB M. Weisman.
Wisconsin continued where they're previous drive left off, by marching down the field to set up a 3 yard score from HB J. White and bring the home team to within a TD at 14-7. Iowa then tacked on their 3rd TD of the game on a 6 yard run from J. Canzeri. Just before halftime both teams would add FG's and so the score heading into the locker room was 24-10 Iowa.

Looking to come out and put the game away Iowa found themselves faced with stopping a 4th down attempt by the Badgers on the opening possession of the 2nd half. The conversion attempt was unsuccessful and allowed the Hawkeyes a short field and a chance to tack on another 3 points.

Towards the end of the fourth quarter and still holding onto a 27-10 lead Iowa set up to punt the ball back to the Badgers. However, as the ball was all set to land on the 1 yard line a Wisconsin Badger jumped in front of the ball trying to make a block on the Hawkeye who was positioning himself to down the ball and in turn, the ball ricocheted off the Badger while Iowa scooped the ball up for the easy TD and a commanding 34-10 advantage.

Iowa tacked on another 10 points in the 4th before the game came to a merciful end with the Hawkeyes shocking many in attendance by winning so convincingly 44-10.

The Hawkeyes now have the next 2 weeks off to prepare for their last two games against #9 Michigan and #3 Nebraska.
