QB Brandon Weeden played well, and connected on several play action passes, including a 35 yard TD to TE Ben Watson. In the biggest surprise of the game, the drop happy Cleveland WR's did not drop a pass all game for the first time this year. CB Joe Haden picked off a pass and returned it to the house, and HB Trent Richardson added a short TD run to stake the Browns to their big lead. Weeden would give one back when he threw a pick six, and the Chiefs climbed all the way back in the game to tie it at 24. Both teams had a chance to retake the lead, but were forced to punt instead. The Browns finally started moving the ball, and with just under a minute to go kicked the go ahead FG. The Cleveland drive not only gave them the lead, but it also forced the Chiefs to use all of their timeouts. The Browns tackled the Chiefs inbounds on their first play, and then came up with a sack to seal the game. The win moves the Browns to 7-6, and keeps their slim playoff chances alive. With the loss, the Chiefs fall to 6-7 and all but ends their shot at the playoffs. The Browns will take on the struggling Washington Redskins next game, while the Chiefs battle the rival Oakland Raiders.
