What the hell happened in Philly you ask?

Well week 2 for both 0-1 teams turned into a barn burner. A defensive shit show. A up and down back and forth left and right track meet. It looked like a ping pong game. 67 Ovr Matt Blanchard threw for 500 and 5 TDs, while Mike Vick was even better throwing for 500 and 7 TDs. Good offense? Bad defense? Well, all the above.

I (SD) missed 2 tackles on 2 separate hitch plays which led to long TD receptions. A 8 yard pass going for 50 yd TDs, story of the SD defense so far this year. Also had a very bad blown coverage where the FS in zone I was playing must have been watching porn on his smartphone. Some incredible offense too though. Antonio Gates got hurt, and the young stud Al Green came in and did a awesome job.

The game was intense, and back and forth. right before HT, SD missed a very long FG and gave Philly good field position and they scored to cut the lead to 7. The second half was each team just trading scores. Eventually the team that had the ball last won.

Tie game, SD ball, 2:00 left to go and 2nd down from the Philly 5. Matt Blanchard rolls right, has a open receiver that I just completely ignored. Instead I took a sack, and my QB for the future got hurt while making a TD impossible. Which BTW led to a injury timeout which i was not pleased about!!!! Had to kick the FG to take a 3pt lead.

Philly gets the ball. Out route, 12 yards, out route 12 yards, post pattern 20 yards, slant 10 more yards. I was attempting to bend and not break. I just didnt want to give up the endzone. Philly sends the slot up the seam. Mike makes the throw and its right towards my FS. Aaaaaannnd, he drops it! Now thats key! Because 2 plays later...the same 5'9 slot WR runs up the same seam, Mike makes the same throw, FS in the same spot! Aaaaaaaannnd TOUCHDOWN PHILLY!!!!! 4 seconds left!!!! Yep, Philly took the lead, as some 5'9 WR completely out jumped my 6'2 FS AND my 6'0 CB. DOH! I was quite confused to say the least, but that was game. And a damn fun game as well.

Lol, 1ke indeed good game, video coming soon just want to add two things. Did you know you kick that last FG on 3rd down? Not complaining. Second the last score to Johnson was a different pattern Vick's accuracy was the reason for the similar look, I don't want the people to get the wrong impression about the Chip Russell no huddle ;)

Raiders Coach Lied and Matt Flynn Cried as Tyler Wilson throws 2 TDs in First NFL Start

The Raiders had initially said Matt Flynn would start this week’s game against the Jags, but instead started rookie Tyler Wilson in place of injured Terrell Pryor. This was another ding to the career of Matt Flynn who went in last year thinking he would be starting only to be replaced by Russell Wilson and now has fallen to #3 in the depth charge behind Jesus himself Tim Tebow. The choice was simple, no way the Raiders would be playing Flynn with that noodle arm.

So Tyler Wilson gets the start and for most of the first part of the game, didn’t throw that much as the Raiders tried to work the run game behind Mcfadden and was able to do so. Mcfadden had a big day with over 100 yards rushing with 2 Tds and also backup Joe Mcknight came in to put in 80 more yards with both combining for over 40 rush attempts.

The Raiders behind Mcfadden and later on the throwing of Tyler Wilson were able to jump to a big lead in the early part of the game going up by two touchdowns in the first half. Tyler Wilson was able to make good easy passes with some mistakes and was able to hit TE Ausberry for his first TD of his career. Tyler would be able to get another TD pass to Reece with Wilson finishing the day off with a decent 180 yard game with 2 TDs and no Ints.

On the Jacksonville side of the ball, the Jags jumped out first putting together a long scoring drive with MJD punching it in. MJD was able to gash the Raider defense on the ground going over for 100 yards, but didn’t get much help from the passing game. New rookie starter Scott threw 3 INTs that setup scores for the Raiders, but was able to put two scoring drives in the end of the game, but at that point, the score was already 44-14. Jags got kind of back in the game 44-27, but was not able to recover the onside kick to build on it and the Raiders drained the clock to go 2-0.

The question heading into the game was, what would the Raiders do with Tim Tebow, well, he rushed twice for 4 yards and was able to go 1-1 for 14 yards in his debut. We’ll see if Tebow’s packages expand in week 3.

    Bengals Win Home Opener
The Bengals win their first home game in prime time against the Steelers 45-20. The offense operated like a well oiled machine, seeming to move the ball at will against that stout Pittsburgh defense. Green-Ellis provided a nice lift on the ground rushing for 109 yards and a touchdown. Andy Dalton carved up the secondary throwing for 377 yards and 4 touchdowns. He made some nice adjustments on the line reading what the defense was trying to do and making them pay for it. AJ Green had another great game notching another 100 yard game with 128. Gresham, nearly non existent last game, made his presence felt putting up 135 yards himself. With most of his yardage coming from YAC. The gameball goes to the defense. They were able to make life extremely difficult for the Steelers to get anything going. George Iloka, Leon Hall and Terrance Newman each had picks against Big Ben. A couple of deep pass INTs seemed to make Ben a little gunshy about throwing anymore deep balls against the Bengals secondary. Bookends Carlos Dunlap and Micheal Johnson each were able to get a sack in this game. Hell, even Hard Knocks' favorite camera shy star James Harrison dominated his side of the defense putting up 5 tackles stopping anyone that came his way. " I loved the way the guys performed out there tonight! What a way to kickoff a game against a divisional opponent. The only blackeye on the game is losing nickle corner and returner Adam Jones to a broken collarbone. We will have to look at the available free agents out there and have some guys step up and fill the void" said Coach Chandler after the game. The Bengals get to stay at home next week as they get the play host the Aaron Rodgers led Green Bay Packers. Whomever the team gets to fill the void, the team will need to continue to be on their game to pull out another victory.

Peyton wins the the Manning Bowl for the 3rd straight time
Coming off last week's heartbreaking defeat to the defending SB champ Ravens, Denver was in tough vs Eli Manning and the Giants. Peyton threw for 406 yards and 4TDs while the run game led by the three headed monster of Montee Ball/Ronnie Hillman and Knowshon Moreno combined for 189 yards and 3 TDs.

But the real story in this one was late in the 2nd quarter with the score 21-14 Gmen, Peyton dropped back and saw his favorite target Demaryius Thomas open down the middle of the field, Thomas caught the pass and scored the game tying TD but was down for a while. It did not look good, the stretcher came out and Peyton's fivehead was throbbing intensely both were terrible signs. Thomas had broken his vertabrae and will be out for 48 weeks!!!

The Broncos were able to overcome that adversity and scored 21 unsanswered points in the 4th to win the game 56-38.

Next week the Broncos will face the 2-0 Oakland Raiders at Mile High, Rookie WR Tavarres King will take snaps at the #2 spot in practice and will try to take some pressure off Eric Decker.

Player of the game: Peyton Manning 19-27 406 yards, 4TDs and 2INTs

Stat of the game: Broncos 7-9 on 3rd down

It was over when... Quentin Jammer picked off an Eli Manning pass late in the 4th Q deep inside the redzone

Who Shaves an Eyebrow You Ask?

    eyebrow.jpg

Seahawks win in a blowout 30-10, forcing Kapernick to shave an eyebrow, behind Marshawn Lynch and his 158 yards on the ground.

Marshawn Lynch and the Seahawks opened up at home against the NFC defending champions San Francisco 49ers and an early season test for the Seahawks. Seattle would prove to be up for the challenge. On the opening drive the Seahawks would go down the field on the first possession and hit a field goal for a 3-0 lead. After stopping the 49ers Russell Wilson had the team in position to at least get 3 more points but on a bad throw (my fault wrong button) the 49ers picked it off and were able to come back with a drive down the field and put a touchdown on the board courtesy of Anquan Boldin who beat the defender and went 65 yards. Seattle would get Marshawn Lynch into the endzone and right before halftime get another Steven Hauschka field goal to go up 13-7 at the half.

In the third quarter San Francisco on its opening drive would put up a field goal but Seattle's defense locked the 49ers down after that and Seattle behind Marshawn Lynch and a long touchdown by Sidney Rice would put up 17 unanswered points and grind the clock out in the 4th quarter. Taking the division lead and gaining some momentum for the season.

    Player of the Game

    Marshawn Lynch 21 carries 158 yards, 2 TDs, 2 catches 36 yards.

gg Craig Brown Gonna be a fun rematch later on in the year to close out Candlestick.
