    Wake Forest: 10
    #9 Virginia Tech: 42

Virginia Tech cruised to an easy victory at home over Wake Forest. Wake Forest's offense was mostly shut down the entire the day. The key to the the win was VT Running Back Holmes who had 32 carries for 247 yards and 3 touchdowns. VT is finally finding its groove offensively and defensively.

    Meeeeechigan Wolverines 42
    Notre Dame 35

This was a tale of two halves. Michigan came out on fire taking a commanding 35-7 lead over the Irish heading into half. Coming back out though they looked complacent giving up 14 points in the third quarter as their lead narrowed to 35-21. However Michigan answered early in the fourth on Denard Robinson's 5 TD toss of the game. Notre Dame added two cosmetic TDs late when the game was out of reach.

Despite the win, Coach Esarey was not happy saying his defense allowed too many big plays through the air. He vows to rectify the problem going into the bye.

FSU takes down conference rival Clemson 38-28. It was a mostly one sided game through the first half, but Clemson was able to get things rolling in the second half bringing the score close. FSU's defense was able to get some big stops in the 4th to allow them to pull away from the Tigers for the win.

    Nebraska - 31
    North Carolina - 7

Nebraska jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead with a pick 6 on the second play of the game by Damion Stafford. A quick defensive stop for the Huskers got the ball into Taylor Martinez's hands who hit Kenny Bell for a 45 yard touchdown pass. The Blackshirts were on fire today with another quick stop to get the ball back for the offense and Martinez drove the Huskers down to the 3 yard line before hitting Kenny Bell again for his second TD catch of the day and a 21-0 lead going into the second quarter. UNC continued having trouble moving the ball and the Huskers drove down again but couldn't punch it in and settled on a FG. Late in the second quarter the Husker D got another big stop and Ameer Abdullah put the Huskers up 31-0 before half with a big 82 yd punt return for a TD. Carolina was able to punch in a TD late in the 3rd quarter but that was all she wrote, 31-7 Final.

Yeah, good game man. It probably would have been closer if I hadn't spotted you those points in the 1st half, but hopefully I can get my offense going the rest of the season.
