Matt Jones had his first hundred yard rushing game in the SEC Opener and punched in two TD's. LaTroy Pittman had another day over 100 yards receiving and added another TD. Trey Burton finally was utilized in his position as the JOT. The Gators hosted several recruits at this game and hope to see some progress on that front.

Yellow Jacket Triple Option, too much for UNC North Carolina gets rocked 30-17 or something like that. Another game where we didn't stick to the game plan. Only 1 turnover but we just didn't capitalize inside their red zone. The triple option attack was just too much for our defense to handle. 2 plays where we could have turned the ball game totally into our favor happened to result in some kind of malfunction. Missed tackles on the QB and he stayed on his feet for 6. The game froze before even loading back to the screen. Took a video of it and sent it to Ryty. Just going to go in and sim a loss later on.
vs 10 - 42 This game was all about one thing and one thing only, the Alabama Defense. The Ragin Cajuns entered the game with an offense that was averaging over 30 points a game and a mobile QB that was having a very good year. But on this day the Crimson Tide defense would have none of that. They shut down the ULL offense while the Alabama offense raced out to 4 1st half TDs to give them a comfortable 28-0 lead at the half. In the 2nd half the Crimson Tide rested many of their players as 2nd and 3rd stringers got a chance to compete. In the end it was the defense that was the star of the game as Alabama held ULL to 244 total yards (160 passing & 84 rushing) and more importantly held them to 2 of 8 on 3rd down conversions.

Vanderbilt Rolls UMASS 49-7 Vandy decimated UMASS in every aspect of the game, but the story was about freshman QB "the General" Patton Robinette and his breaking out party. Coach Third made the decision from day one to start Robinette, and gave him the keys to this high powered California Air Raid offence. Patton didn't let him down on Saturday throwing for 303 yards and 4 TD's. His favorite target so far this season has been Jordan Matthews who grabbed 6 balls for 136 yards and 2 TD's. The big surprise was RB Wesley Tate who rushed for 111 yards on 19 carries. Coach Third said he saw the light click on for Robinette and four games into his college career he is on his way to being a house held name. The SEC will definitely know who this kid is by seasons end. Nashville has a new face of the franchise for Vanderbilt for years to come.
