Tommy Heffernan leads the defense with 10 tackles. Just an absolute beast that NFL scouts should start paying attention to. Bryn Renner has another great game with 235 yards passing and 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. Again A.J. Blue carries the team on his back rushing wise balancing it out with 82 yards on 12 carries. Sean Tapley and Quinshad Davis caught the touchdown passes from Renner. Quinshad Davis' TD in the back of the end zone. One of A.J. Blue's biggest runs.
A Much-Needed Win
NEYLAND Stadium- The Georgia Bulldogs get a "Total Team" victory against their conference rival Tennessee. QB Aaron Murray had his best statistical game of the season completing 19 of his 22 passing attempts for 315 yds and 4 td's. After being stymied the last game against LSU; particularly in the running game, Coach BG decided a change was in order. That change came by way of getting backup HB Keith Marshall in the mix. The change of pace paved they way for the Dawgs to rush for a collective effort of 168 yds and 2 scores. The defense also played well holding The Volunteers to negative yards rushing in the contest. The win puts GA at 4-1(3-0) on the season. Next up, Missouri Tigers! FINAL- 49-10 DAWGS!
vs 31 - 13 The Crimson Tide traveled to Louisville to face Ryty and the 11th ranked Cardinals in game that carried significant National implications. The Crimson Tide knew going the key to victory would be in containing dynamic QB Teddy Bridgewater and his high powered passing attack. The Game did not open well for the Tide as they picked up an early 1st only to see McCarron throw a pick and set up the Cardinals in great field position. But the Alabama defense rose to the occasion and forced Louisville out of FG range and got the ball back after a punt. The Crimson Tide then went on a time consuming drive and took a 7-0 lead when McCarron found Kenny Bell open for a 17 yard TD reception. But the Cardinals responded back quickly when Charles Gaines raced 108 yards with the kick off to tie the game at 7-7 as the 1st Qtr ended. But that return may have also sparked the Crimson Tide as on the next series, TJ Yeldon raced 70 yards for a TD to reclaim the lead 14-7. The Crimson Tide defense came out and proceeded to harsh and intercept Bridgewater on several occasion. By the half the Crimson Tide had extended their lead to 24-10. In the 2nd half the Crimson Tide held Louisville to 1 FG while scoring another TD to make the final 31-13. Overall the Crimson Tide defense played outstanding holding the Cardinals offense to 2 FG and and picked off Bridgewater 6 times. The Alabama offense kept the game plan simple after getting the lead and Yeldon responded with 172 yards on 20 carries. Great game Ryty
