JETS PICK OFF BIG BEN 3 TIMES IN 38-23 WIN

The Jets defense continued their onslaught of picking off opposing QB's and their prey this week was the Pittsburgh Steelers and namely, Big Ben.

Big Ben was picked off 3 times, including a back breaking pick which CB Kyle Wilson returned to the house to give the Jets a 2 score lead which the Steelers could never recover from. Big Ben did pass for 365 yards on the game but the Jets did a great job of stopping the Steelers when it counted. "We just continue to bend but not break out there, forcing these teams to settle for field goals or we force turnovers...that's how we continue to have success on this team," said Dawan Landry. The SS continued his great play, acting more as the free safety on pass plays as he picked off his NFL high 7th pass. Cromartie, Harris and the aformentioned Wilson, picked off passes in the game as well.

The offense was steady as the Steelers didn't allow for many big plays. QB Geno Smith did his job managing the game with 215 yards on 13 completions and the two RB's Alex Green and Mike Goodson each ran for 50 yards or more in the game, controlling the clock for the Jets. Geno has done an admirable job with this offense as he's learning some new WR's and trying to get everybody on the same page. "We've not helped him in games with some drops and we had to find a run game once Ivory went down for a while but with A.Green doing the job right now, I feel very confident in this offense to be unpredictable and to put up points when we need to," said Coach Reece Mills. The Jets improve to 4-2 in a ever so crowded AFC East, where it was a 4 way tie at 3-2 coming into the week. GG Hokie Effect

Bills Rally Behind Defense And Rookie Manuel For Huge Win In Week 6!!!!

The AFC East coming into week 6 had all four teams with 3-2 records, and the Bills answered the call with a huge win over the RED HOT A.J. Green and the Bengals. The Bengals had a 4-1 record coming into this game, and were the clear favorites come kickoff. Going into this week, the Bengals looked nearly unstoppable with their high flying offense lead by Andy Dalton. The Bengals named Giovani Bernard the starter this week to everyone's suprise replacing the effective Benjarvus Green-Ellis who had 430 yards rushing on the season coming into this week. This might have proven to be a bad decision as Bernard had a mere 45 yards rushing on 15 attempts and had a costly fumble at a critical point in the game.

Coming in to this game the Bills have been focusing on the defensive side of the ball and creating turnovers. They made a few unconventional moves by moving career DE Mario Williams to the linebacker position, and moving career LB Manny Lawson to DE. The Bills having one of the best rush defenses in the league knew they had to stop the pass, and didn't focus much on the run defense this week. They moved FS Jarius Byrd up to DB to help with the man coverage enough to give the line time to get after the quarterback. Coach Marrone emphasized in his interviews all week how important defense would be this weekend. Coming into this week the Bills had 8 takeaways through 5 games. In this weekends game, they managed to get 4 in this one game alone. After the game he was quoted saying "It's funny we are talking about "DEFENSE" in a game that had almost 900 yards in offense between both teams, but the turnovers won us this game". The Bills managed to force 3 fumbles and had a acrobatic interception by 2nd year DB Stephon Gilmore.

The game featured two solid quarterbacks in Dalton and Manuel who both had great games. The versatility of Manuel is hard to prepare for as he showed in this game accumulating 2 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing touchdowns on the day. The defense always has to be worried about him running the ball, but not many realize how effective he is in the pocket. His only error came right before the end of the first half where he misread the coverage and threw an interception to a LB sliding into the flat in a zone coverage. Other then that mistake he hit 7 different targets for 309 yards, including former New England Patriot Braylon Edwards who ended the game with 4 receptions and 147 yards and 1 touchdown reception. Since joining the Bills Edwards has over 500 yards receiving and 4 touchdowns in 4 games since being cut by charter04 and the Patriots. Fred Jackson had the spotlight with Spiller out with a nagging injury. Jackson ran the ball 17 times for 137 yards and a touchdown, and also had 2 receptions.

The Bengals coached by Hitmhrd72 put on an arial show with Dalton hitting 8 different targets for over 400 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Bills goal was to shutdown A.J. Green and did so until the 4th quarter where he had a 20 yard touchdown reception. He ended the day with 4 receptions and 60 yards and a touchdown. Dalton's favorite target on the day was Jermaine Gresham who hauled in 5 receptions and 113 yards. His size and agility makes him almost impossible to cover with most linebackers or even with smaller corners. This team can and will put big points up on the board and make it to the playoffs. We will see if Green-Ellis returns to the lineup or if Bernard gets the touches next week. The Bills have a huge game against the division rival Miami Dolphins next week which will help shape the playoff picture and possibly the division also.

Rams hold off Texans to improve to .500 on the year. Bradford spread the ball around while Richardson dipped and dunked enough to edge out the tough Texans. A. Foster had a big game on the ground mainly by sprinting towards to sideline to get the edge. Player of the game was kicker Greg Zuerlein who connected on 4 FGs with a long of 53... These kicks sealed the deal for the Rams. Texans kicker Bullock went 3 for 4 which was the difference in the game. GG!
