Vikings Win in Seattle; Extend Winning Streak to 6

    Vikings: 24
    Seahawks: 10

The Vikings came into Seattle Week 9 looking for its sixth straight victory, and a 4-4 Seahawks team stood in their way. Seattle would strike first on defense, as 5th-yr DT Alan Branch would pick up a K.J. Wright forced fumble of Christian Ponder on a PA play and take it 44 yards for the score. Seattle’s D was opportunistic all night, as they would force and recover two fumbles of Ponder in the first half and would also pick him off once. However, the Viking D proved to be too much, holding Beast Mode to just 10 yards on 12 carries for the night. The Vikings would finally get on the board with 2:25 left in the first half on a 65-yard highlight run by AP. After getting a turnover of their own (Tatupu forced fumble of QB Matt Flynn; recovered by Kevin Williams), they would score again before halftime on a 44-yd screen pass from Ponder to AP. Score at half: Vikings – 14; Seahawks – 7.

With the score 17-10 in favor of the Vikings with 6:30 left to play in the game, Jared Allen would get the sack, forced fumble, fumble recovery and take it back 50+ yards all the way to the Seattle 2…where AP would finish off the play, and seal the game with a 2-yard TD run, his 3rd TD of the day.

    Players of the Game:
HB Adrian Peterson: 20 carries for 114 yds, 2 TD, 1 catch, 44 yds, 1 TD
MLB Lofa Tatupu: 8 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 FF

    LOLB K.J. Wright: 7 Tackles, 5 TFL, 2 Sacks, 2 FF
