Wyoming wins a nail-biter Wyoming goes into hostile territory and gets the win in dramatic fashion against Utah State 35-31. Thing started well with the defense stopping the initial drive, then the offense put together a touch down drive to go up. USU's Lee then got away from the safety to put his offense in scoring position. Keeton would take it in himself for the tie. Things seem to spiral for the defense as the read option seem to have them second guessing themselves too much. Defensive leaders Reese and Yarbrough put an end to the foolishness. Reese would knock Lee out of game and Yarbrough would do the same to Keeton. With hemorrhaging stopped, the offense got rolling. FB Easton had a memorable game scoring two TDs, one a 46 yard scamper. In fourth quarter, the game really began. USU scored a FG to start to the quarter. Shaun Wick would answer with a TD from 5 yards out, 28-24 WYO. There was 2:50 left in the game. Utah went to their hurry up and put together a great drive that ended with a 14 yd TD with 1:03 left in the game, the score was now 31-28 Utah. Offensive impact players went to work. Herron made great catches and got much needed RAC yards to set up for the tying FG. Coach Chandler wanted to try one more play before conceding OT. Out of the shotgun with 6 seconds left in the game, Smith found TE Lange for the go ahead TD to put the Cowboys up 35-31. Utah would try a Hail-Mary with no luck.
