    MID SEASON REPORT CARD

    C
Feyenoord has not had a stellar run, but with the dearth of Talent on this squad- The Dutch side has proven to be a tough out for most of Serie B. Feyenoord has remained competitive against better talent and has shown their ability to overcome their lack of individual play with a cohesive Team approach. 2 draws and 2 wins may not say much on paper but 6 of the 8 matches played by the squad have closely contested. The lack of scoring has put them on their back foot in most matches averaging a 1 goal a match- but entering every match the ubiquitous under dogs- the results have been stellar. With 2 games on hand- the Dutch side can improve on their standing- and while promotion will be a long shot- rest assured Feyenoord will be influential in the 2nd half- as their play can doom a prospective side to relegation.

    D
Hamburger SV has had a poor showing in the 1st of Half of Season 10- The Germans arguably has world class Talent in GK Adler and CAM Van Der Vaart- but it has failed to show in matches played. The Team offensively has only mustered 6 goals in 10 matches and has resulted in poor results- A key Upset against West Ham United was the lone bright spot for the struggling squad- but major losses to Top of the table contenders has made a mockery of the German back line as they have allowed massive goals to the Top Half of the Table- key Defensive showings against Cagliari Calcio and the aformentioned West Ham has shown that Hamburger SV can clamp down- but that has been seldom the case for the Defense. The 2nd Half looms for the Germans- and much improvment on both Defense and Offense will need to show if they are to survive the Relegation Race. Loanee Johan Djourou (Arsenal) will look to be influential in the back line and hopefully improve the maligned Defense of Hamburger SV.

    D
PSV Eidenhoven had a disastrous start to the campaign Winless in their first 6 matches- the Dutch squad seemed destined to finish the Season without earning full points in a fixture- a late season rally with Wins against VfB Stuttgart and an impressive upset of Corinthians had PSV rounding out the Season in Form- but the damage has been done- allowing a league high 19 goals- the Defense has been porous- Offensively, PSV have unable to score- only garnering 9 goals in 10 matches- 4 of which came in their Upset win over Corinthians- but the goals have been scarce- the Team has gotten shut out in 5 of their 10 matches- The 2nd Half of the Season will look for a more positive start for the Dutch- The Defense will need to find some support- and Offensively PSV will need to find some scorers or else the Battle for Relegation may come into fruition early in the 2nd Half of the Campaign.

    D
It has been a long 1st half of the Season for VfB Stuttgart- The Germans have been unable to find any scoring support from their Frontline- only scoring 6 goals in 10 matches- this Offensive drought has resulted in only one Win out of 10 for Stuttgart- However, The Defense has kept the Germans from totally collapsing as the back line has been impressive during the poor form- allowing only 1.11 GAA - GK S. Ulreich leads the league with 4 clean sheets and it is safe to assume the Keeper and Defense has been influential in all points earned by VfB Stuttgart- The Second half will need to see improvement Offensively if they are to climb above the Danger Zone- the addition of M. Abdellaoue ST 79 from Hannover96 may prove the impetus needed to find some scoring-

    D-
Marseille has been unable to capitalize on their Talent- arguably the most loaded squad in Serie B- The French Side has looked nothing like the Stellar line up it boasts- The lack of scoring has been Marseille's downfall as both Ayew and Gignac have failed to impress. No OM player rank in the Top 20 in scoring in Serie B- The lack of Scoring has put the pressure on the Defense to perform- Key Wins against Borrusia Mongladbach and Hamburger early in the Campaign have been the lone bright spots for the French Side - The poor form has the Team in the Danger Zone to start the 2nd half and it will be a challenge for the French side to not get demoted- as they have not shown the ability to score- Improvement in the Offense will need to be found early if they are to dig themselves out of the hole created in 1st half of the campaign- the Addition of LW D.Payet (Lille) will hopefully add more scoring for the beleaguered side-

    WEEK 5 SEASON 10

Week 5 is a short week with Teams looking to get a hot start in the 2nd half of the Season- A Key Clash between West Ham United and Corinthians looms as well as Norwich City vs Aston Villa- Corinthians open the 2nd half of the Season with some tough fixtures- as Cagliari Calcio will round out a tough week for the Brasilians

Revenge is in Hamburger SV's mind as Germans & Olympique Marseille clash early and both will need to gain valuable 3 points- as the Relegation battle for both Teams may depend on their success against the lower half of the Table. A Win is a must for Both but Hamburger SV will be more desperate for points as Aston Villa looms in their 2nd fixture- a 3-1 drubbing in their first meeting will be fresh on the German's mind.

PSV Eidenhoven will look to continue their fine form as they clash with a reeling Borrusia Mongladbach. A Win for the Dutch can springboard their campaign-

Cagliari Calcio will look to replicate their past results against Feyenoord. The Dutch side will look for positive results- as the reverse fixture of the Dutch Derby (against PSV) arrives in Rotterdam- the last encounter resulted in a Draw for both squads- critical points will need to be won in this match if both squads are to remain above the Danger Zone.

Udinese enters the fold- and the Stacked Squad- will need to make up matches quickly- The Italians will boast a very balanced squad and key matches against VfB Stuttgart and West Ham United will dictate the Italians place in the Race in Serie B.

Marseille will look to sweep their German tour and earn 6 maximum points as they visit VfB Stuttgart- The French side will look to gain valuable points at the expense of their bottom of the Table compatriots.

Norwich City looks to avenge their loss at Home to Borrusia Mongladbach and make a move for Top of the Table honor- while the Germans hope for similar results as they leap frog the English side-

    WEEK 5 SEASON 10

The Week began with a shoot out between West Ham United and Corinthians- with so many goals scored- it was surprising that it ended in a 4-4 Draw. The Brasilians end a poor week with a loss at Home to Cagliari Calcio, falling 3-5 after taking the lead twice early in the Match. West Ham United faired better as they halt the march of late comer Udinese 3-2.

Cagliari Calcio Defeats Corinthians Away 5-3

Udinese has been on a tear after missing the 1st half of the Season- beating every one in their wake be it Top of the Table, Middle or Danger Zone squads- Wins against West Ham, Corinthians and Aston Villa signals the Clubs intent and it looks like there is a new Squad vying for promotion early on.

Aston Villa demolishes a struggling Hamburger SV 4-1 in what ends another week of disappointment for the German Squad as they also lose 1-0 to fellow Danger Zone compatriot Olympique Marseille.

Aston Villa carves out Hamburg's Defense for a 4-1 Victory

The Villans continue their fine form as they record full points for 3 consecutive weeks- defeating Norwich City 1-0.

Marseille also concludes the Week with maximum points on the back of a stellar Defensive performance from GK Mandanda defeating VfB Stuttgart 2-0 and Hamburg 1-0.

    WEEK 6 SEASON 10

West Ham United will look for 9 points this week as they host Borrusia Mongladbach in what could be the only challenging fixture for the English squad- two Away matches against VfB Stuttgart and Feyenoord (both in poor form) can vault the Hammers into 1st place by end of the Week.

Aston Villa has a key clash against Cagliari Calcio for Top of the Table honors- as both Teams have been hovering near the Top for most of the Campaign- if Villa can walk away with 3 full points the Villans are primed for a 4th Consecutive Week with maximum points as they will face PSV Eidenhoven and Feyenoord.

Dutch squad Feyenoord has a tough run this Week as fixtures against West Ham & Aston Villa is compounded with a trip to Brasil to challenge a dangerous but reeling Corinthians squad looking to stop the poor run of Form in the past two weeks.

Corinthians looks to avenge their 2-1 Defeat against Upstart Udinese- and break down a Marseille Defense coming off 2 Clean sheets last week- to round out their Week 6.

PSV Eidenhoven will need to find some points against a dangerous Aston Villa squad- but more importantly will need to solve the Defensive form of Marseille and get 3 valuable points. An end of the Week Match against another Defensive minded squad in Norwich City will prove important that the Dutch side solve their inability to score before Weeks end or else may find themselves mired in the relegation race.

Hamburg SV will also need to find some firepower- as trips to Defensive minded Vfb Stuttgart and Cagliari loom this week- The German Derby versus VfB Stuttgart will be critical as Hamburg looks to stop the free fall and distance themselves from the Danger Zone.

Norwich City will have to find some offense as the English squad will face an in form Marseille and two squads in PSV Eidenhoven and VfB Stuttgart that currently sit at the bottom of the Table. The Canaries will need to find some Offense as their last 4 outings has only netted the English squad 1 goal- opportunities for Points are for the taking.

Upstart Udinese will look to improve upon their result against Hamburg which ended in a 2-2 draw and 2 key matches against Borrusia Mongladbach can spell Top of the Table induction for the Italians if Results prove positive for Di Natale and Company.

Cagliari will look to avoid a revenge result in Germany from Borrusia Mongladbach who lost their 1st fixture against the Italians in Sardinia, Italy 4-1.

VfB Stuttgart has tough but Winnable fixtures ahead- with a key reverse fixture against West Ham United-at Home. Last Match up had the Germans sharing the spoils but the fortunes of both squads have gone opposite direction since then- The Germans will look to share the spoils again.

    WEEK 6 SEASON 10

West Ham United finishes the Weke with Maximum points with 6 - as fixture against Feyenoord has been canceled- An Impressive drubbing of defensive minded VfB Stuttgart 4-0 and a Win against Borrusia Mongladbach 2-1 has the Hammers sitting top of the Table. The addition of lanky ST A.Carrol has been noticeable as the Striker has been a menace for the Defense.

Borrusia Mongladbach's Week could have gotten worse after a loss to West Ham United and Cagliari Calcio- but two impressive Wins against a Hot Udinese squad - (one a make up match) has the Germans ending the week with 6 much needed points.

Udinese hot form was halted- as two losses and a Draw against Corinthians has the Italians grounded- a Match against Bottom side Hamburg could jumpstart the Italians again if results sway their way.

PSV Eidenhoven's lack of scoring has resulted in only 1 point out of a possible 6- as Aston Villa drubs the Dutch side 5-1 and Marseille's Defense held up again to share the spoils at 0-0.

The French Side Marseille has also been unable to solve their scoring drought as they remain goalless this week- resulting in only 1 point out of a possible 9 with a game in hand against Norwich City.

Norwich City stands to recoup some points this week - when they return to action- a draw in a make up Match against Borrusia Mongladbach has the English squad primed for ascendency- as matches against 3 squads struggling to find some form awaits- if Norwich is to remain relevant in the promotion Race- maximum points will be needed- or else run the risk of falling to far behind the Pack.

VfB Stuttgart still searches for their 2nd Win of the Season as the Germans have been unable to find any scoring- a GAA of .57 ranks Last in Serie B and third worse in the Whole Series. Relegation is all but guaranteed for the Germans as they flounder at the bottom of the Table if the German cannot find a legitimate scoring threat the rest of the way.

Cagliari Calcio sits 4th in the Table but with positive results in their remaining 2 matches can vault the Italians into the Top 3-

    WEEK 7 SEASON 10

Three more Weeks to earn valuable points as the Race for Promotion heats up. Cagliari Calcio will look for maximum points this week as they arguably have the easiest Fixtures - but must be wary of Upset minded Marseille, Vfb Stuttgart and PSV Eidenhoven. The reverse fixtures will be key for the Italians in securing a shot at Promotion if results fall their way.

Vfb Stuttgart will need to look for some critical points as well- as they fight to stay in Serie B with the Schedule winding down- a key clash against PSV Eidenhoven looms as a Win can keep the Germans within distance to overtake the Dutch side. Points are valuable as the Germans will only have two matches to make up some ground on the rest of the pack.

West Ham United will look to take points from Aston Villa to distance themselves from the Top Tier counterpart- but with matches against Norwich City any sort of let down could slip the Top Club into the middle of the pack. Marseille looks to steal points as well and if results fall positive for the French side- hope of Serie B membership for next Season becomes a closer reality.

PSV Eidenhoven looks to avenge a tough loss to Cagliari and steal points but critical matches against Danger Zone counterparts Hamburg and Vfb Stuttgart will be the bigger focus as Winning against these sides can distance the Dutch club from Relegation.

Corinthians will need to solve their sudden lack of offense as they look to make an impact on the Promotion race- any slip up against Borrssia Mongladbach and Hamburg could be deadly for their aspirations. Aston Villa lie await for the Brasilians in a key Top of the Table Match- last meeting resulted in a 2-2 Draw- a similar result could mean the end for Corinthians aspirations.

Borrusia Mongladbach will have 2 matches to gain some traction as the Germans look to capitalize on their recent Form- 2 key wins has propeled the Germans into Mid Table Relevancy- but will need help from the Top to break into the promotion Race even with positive results this week.

Norwich City has amassed 5 games on hand and will look to capitalize on their schedule as 15 points are available for the English Squad. If results fall favorably- we could have a 5 Team Race for 3 spots-

Hamburger SV hovers over the Danger zone- but with critical matches against Corinthians and Norwich City- that stand has the Team in danger - a match up against PSV Eidenhoven may come into play down the stretch and the Germans know they need to distance themselves from Relegation with more points.

    WEEK 7 SEASON 10

The 2nd to last week was successful for top of the Table Contenders West Ham United as New Arrival A.Carrol has been a menace for the Defense- A solid 7 points of of 9 garnered for the Hammers vaults them to the Top of The Table and very tight homes stretch for the English squad.

Aston Villa shares the spoils in a critical match against West Ham and finishes the Week with 4 points with a shot at another 3 points if they find some success against a hot Udinese. A positive result for the Villans against Udinese will out them in the driver seat for promotion.

Udinese will need to maximize their opportunities against Norwich City and Aston Villa- both matches yet unplayed as the Italians have only to fixtures this week.

Offensive minded Corinthians looked to make a move this week with 2 impressive Wins to start the week- drubbings of Hamburg 4-0 and Borrussia Mongladbach 4-1 had pundits thinking the Brasilians were poised for a challenge- unfortunately a loss to fellow promotion hopeful Aston Villa has more than likely cost the squad any Serie A promotion as they sit 4th with 3 matches left - Udinese look poised to leap frog the the Brasilians as they have
8 matches to make up some points.

Cagliari Calcio found some success this tiime around against VfB Stuttgart and look to solidify a promotion berth- 2 matches post left on the Table unplayed against PSV Eidenhoven and Marseille gives the Italians some room to manuever as they look to finish the Season with a tough run.

Norwich City has 7 matches on hand- which can propel the English side to the top of the Table- as the Canaries scheduling has certainly put them in the driver seat for own destiny.

Borrussia Mongladbach will more than likely end middle of the Table as any chance of promotion will require massive failings on several Team ahead of them.

The Battle for Relegation looks tight with 4 Teams within striking distance of each other- Hamburg, Stuttgart and Marseille all failed to gain some ground this week and will need positive results in the last Week of the Season to secure Serie B membership next Season.

While PSV Eidenhovens games on hand give the Dutch side more breathing room to end the Season and may play a major role in deciding who gets relegated in the last week.

    WEEK 8 SEASON 10
    THE HOME STRETCH

The last Week of the Season is upon us and Serie B has proven to be the tightest Race in the Whole Series- 5 Teams have a shot at winning Promotion and 5 Teams are in danger of Relegation- this is the only Series in which the Middle of the Table will not be decided until the last Match of the Season.

    RACE TO PROMOTION

Cagliari Calcio have 5 matches left unplayed- 3 of which comes against fellow Promotion intent Managers: The last Week is brutal for the Italians with Matches against West Ham United, Udinese and Norwich City. The Italians are 0-1-2 in the first round with these three squads and similar results may spell disaster for Cagliari and may find themselves on the outside looking in by the end of the Season.

West Ham United has been hot- scorching their way into an impressive 9-3-3 record. The last week of the Season puts the Hammers in the driver seat as they meet PSV Eidenhoven and Hamburg to end the Season- both squads are fighting for their Relegation Lives. The key Match looms over Cagliairi Calcio- winner of which will more than likely claim the Serie B Champoionship and automatic promotion to Serie A.

Aston Villa similarly has had an impressive run with a 9-3-3 record- with 5 matches on hand the Villans are poised to claim a Serie B Championship if Teams ahead falter- 4 of the 5 matches for the Villans are against the lower half of the Table - a key Match up Udinese will be the only lone challenge in the Villans march to promotion as VfB Stuttgart, Marseille & Borrussia Mondgladbach clearly has the English side as the favorites.

Corinthians massive loss to Aston Villa last week has dealt a major blow in their promotion aspirations- but with Cagliari's gauntlet of an end to the Season may still have an outside shot at Promotion- 3 matches left has the Brasilians needing maximum points to end the season- 2 matches are against Danger Zone squads in PSV Eidenhoven and VfB Stuttgart- and a Defensive minded Norwich City- odds are favorable but PSV Eidenhoven has beaten the Brasilians in the 1st meeting and a similar result in any of Corinthians matches will put them outside looking in.

Udinese late but HOT start to the Season has the Italians looking to disrupt the order of things in the Table- with EIGHT matches and a potential 24 points to add to their already massive 26 point haul- the Champions of Serie B will more than likely not be crowned this Week- Even if Team above complete their fixtures the massive amount of points still available to the Italians can easily displaced anyone a top the Table.

Norwich City sits in a similar situation as the Italians- with 10 matches on hand and 33 points available for the taking- The Canaries hold a distinct advantage ion controling their own destiny- with 16 points and a potential 33 more available- The English squad can maneuver themselves into a promotion place if results are positive.

Borrussia Mongladbach may well be the only guaranteed Middle of the Table squad entering the final Week of the Season- with a record of 6-2-8, the Germans are relatively Safe from demotion and has no shot at getting promoted this season- it has been an up and down Season for the Germans but they live to play again in Serie B- the only Team on the Table who knows where they will start next Season.

    DANGER ZONE DEBUTANTES

Four very experience Managers face the unenviable prospect of Serie C demotion entering the Final Week of Season 10. While 2 of the Four can stave of relegation - all will need to find the necessary points to stay afloat.

Olympique Marseille will have 6 matches to build their cushion- unfortunately all 6 matches are against squads ahead of the French side - all looking to garner valuable points as the race for Promotion is tight- The French will end their Season against Cagliari (9-5-2) , Aston Villa (9-3-3), Udinese (8-2-3), West Ham (9-3-3) and rounds it out with middle of the Table Borrusia Mongladbach and a deadly Norwich City.

Hamburger SV will have 5 matches- to protect their tenable lead at top the Danger Zone- difficult match ups against Udinese (8-2-3) & West Ham (9-3-3).. but more important matches with critical implications to Hamburg position against PSV Eidenhoven has 6 possible points hanging on the results. Clashes against Norwich City and Borrusia Mongladbach will need to produce points to secure Serie B membership next Season.

It has not been a good showing for one of TFS better experience Managers as PSV Eidenhoven sits in the Danger zone- but with 8 matches on hand- the Dutch squad can muster enough results to pull out a respectable Middle of the Table finish- with 24 points up for the taking- not all is doom and gloom for PSV as they hold in their hands their own Destiny-

VfB Stuttgart is in a very bad place... a very very bad place... With only 1 win all Season the Germans are in danger of getting bumped to Serie C at the end of Season 10. With 7 points this has been a very out of character showing for Stuttgart. 5 matches left to pull out a miracle- with help from others faltering can still salvage a Serie B membership next Season- the Germans will have to do so by getting points against critical match ups- clashes against Corinthians and Aston Villa will need to result in points BUT more importantly- matches against Borrusia Mongladbach, PSV Eidenhoven and Norwich City must result in Wins if the Germans are to overtake any of those three in Serie C demotion.

This is it folks- ALL MATCHES ARE KEY MATCH UPS as the Season winds down- who is IN and who is OUT? This last week will prove to be the most exciting finish in Serie B history on both ends of the Table.

    SEASON 10 END REPORT

Another Season comes to a close in Serie B and Udinese has come out Champions and has earned an automatic Promotion to Serie A.

    CONGRATULATIONS UDINESE

An impressive start to the Italians delayed Season was enough to capture the Serie B Championship and for Manager Bbrech0610.

The big question now... Who will join the Italian Champions into Serie A. The Championship may have been decided, but two slots for promotion are still available for the taking-

West Ham United currently sits 2nd at 37 points and at worse can finish Third and will earn the right to play for Serie A membership.

Cagliari Calcio can only finish at best 2nd with a possible 41 points, A win in their last 2 matches will secure 2nd place regardless- and secure Manager HokieNYC's return to Serie A.

Aston Villa will need to win out their last 2 matches to earn any shot at Serie A membership. Manager MiaFLsurf has vowed to go "balls outs" in their final two matches... any other result besides a W means the Villans will be on the outside looking in.

    KEYS TO THE SEASON

Corinthians open Season with a 3-3 shoot out against Cagliari, dictating the Brasilians and Italians offensive prowess that would mark their campaign. The Brasilians end the Season with 42 goals while Cagliari has registered 38 with two games on hand left.

Cagliari does not lose their first match of the Campaign in Serie B till the very end of the 1st half- as they fall to West Ham United 1-0. The second half proved similar as the two met near the end to similar results.

Udinese did not start Season until midway - The eventual Champions were unable to begin Season, as provisional issues prevented the Team from taking the pitch. Rest of the league moves forward and welcomed the Italians at the half way mark. Udinese responds in kind with a 10-1-1 record to open their Season.

Borrusia Mongladbach defeats Udinese twice 4-1 & 2-0 - The Germans stop the streaking Italians cold- as two back to back matches found the Germans on the winning end. Udinese ends the Season with 4 losses- 2 of which came in the hands of the Germans

West Ham United win both meetings against Cagliari 1-0 & 1-0. In two matches- The English squad defeats their promotion hopeful contender. The loss for the Italians- the last one being totally dominated took away Cagliari's opportunity to dictate their own destiny.

Cagliari Collapse- Hamburg SV equalizes in the dying minutes against Cagliari to draw 1-1 in their last meeting and Udinese registers 3 goals in the last fifteen minutes of the match against Cagliari. Two heartbreaking results that more than likely cost Cagliari their shot at the Championship.

Lost in Stuttgart? VfB Stuttgart could not find their scoring shoes this Season as they have only registered 8 goals in 15 matches- with 5 games left- it is more than likely going to be the cause for long standing Manager Frenchie1916 to be demoted to Serie C and potential get ousted at Stuttgart.

Danger Zone Resurgence- with their backs to the wall- Hamburg pulls off a massive upset against West Ham United 3-0 to pull themselves out of the danger zone and cripple the English squads ambition of a Championship. PSV Eidenhoven win 3-2 against Corinthians and draw at Udinese earned the Dutch side relative safety and massive points-

Feyenoord Fail- the collapse of Feyenoord's campaign has been a blessing for some danger zone candidates as one of the seats at that short bus in now occupied- the battle for relegation becomes tighter as VfB Stuttgart will only need to catch Marseille and Hamburger for the right to stay in Serie B.

Corinthians sputter at the end amassing a 1-0-3 record with a game on hand from their last four, effectively securing them Middle of the Table status.

Season 10 has been tight one here at Serie B- with very little fanfare and a few grumblings- the Campaign for all has been a surprising one. In compare with our Serie A and C counterparts this has been the tightest least scandalous race of Season 10.

Congratulations to Udinese for a great run and well earned Championship and congrats to all those who have earned promotion. Good Luck to the squads relegated.

Thanks for following Us! See everyone in Season 11.

I'll make sure to persuade the powers-that-be to promote you directly into Serie A so that you can be the Serie A Insider for next season :)

    Please don't!

Have you seen the potential line up for Serie A next Season?!! Its a Murderers Row of Defensive and Offensive masterminds...

Aside from the usual Suspects of Cmac, You, Shiftee & Broncos ... Cup Winners and/or Champions

You got schwep, vegas and juancho (who will be more than likely sporting a Revamped Sunderland squad)

Add to that Red and Brrech (with Udinese) & WingedHelmet (with a new strike force @ West Ham)
Serie A Murderers Row... Season 11

    Sheesh...

Currently Cagliari is looking at fielding players wives and mascot for last 2 matches of the Season... :)
