Cagliari withstood an early flurry from B.M'Gladbach to win at home in their Season opener 4-1. CDM A.Ekdal proved lethal from outside the box providing a brace for the cause and assisting in the go ahead goal courtesy of ST V.Ibarbo. The match was closer than the score line as Cagliari added 2 goals in the 90th minute to put the match to bed- B.M'Gladbach were unlucky early, as a shot hit the crossbar from a scorcher that had Cagliari's keeper beat when the Germans caught the Italian squad napping in the first 5 minutes of the match. V.Ibarbo scores the deciding goal as he slides the ball under a diving GK Stegen.

Olympic de Marseille got back to the basics this off-season, and for their manager, that meant playing good defensive football. Something that brought him mediocre success when he had found success in his FIFA career. Tonight was no different as Marseille tried their best to control the ball and slow down Rafael van der Vaart in the defensive third. Andre Ayew was lucky enough to curl one in around the penalty area at the end of the 1st half to give the Les PhocĂ©ens the lead they needed to defend for the remainder of the game. The second half was all Hamburgers as the German outfit regained the lead in possession and really owned the middle of the park for the remaining 45 minutes. Steve Mandanda was the only other Marseille player to talk about as he shut the door in the second half and recorded a clean sheet to go with his 11 key saves.
GG UcanHateMeNow. Dude every time I play you I think back to my freshman year of college and grinding up on girls in da club to Biggie and Puffy the year the big man passed. You need to teach van der Vaart to spin around when he scores and say "Varlem Vorld vanna vide!"

A superb curling free kick from Juan Arango gave die Fohlen some breathing room, going up 2-0 early in the 2nd half.

I had so many opportunities in that game I just didn't capitalize. You on the other hand won the game with only 3 shots on goal. GG

Cagliari draws against Corinthians at home in a shoot out. The Italians draw first blood in the 3rd minute as Pinilla beats the defender to head in the first goal- Corinthians answer with 2 consecutive strikes to end the half up 2-1. Cossu levels and Pinilla puts the Homeside ahead very briefly- as Emerson answers back immediately in the 69th minute. Both Teams had opportunities to take all three points at the end but the Defenses held on to share the spoils.

Pinilla scores quickly to open the Match

The golden ball is MOTM. If your player is highlighted but doesn't have the ball next to him he wasn't MOTM.

FIFA 12 had different MOTMs, FIFA 13 has corrected the problem where now there's only one.
