GG vipermansa. I felt like we were both on Attacking the entire game, it was fun, there were hardly any midfielders clogging things up unless it was a dead ball. The 6 regulars I took out (or moved around) and formation change inspired my team briefly, but for most of the game it was more of the same ineptitude in the final 3rd. I guess my belligerent managing only had so much effect.

Go Devils you around tonight? You should know that the entire Norwich team has taken a massive hit to ratings. Probably about 7% across the board. My projected B team is now almost as good as my starters. I'm still committed to changes though. I'm playing a stupid vanilla 4-4-2 and putting Snodgrass at striker and my entire midfield is mongs other than Tettey. Come at me.

Fun game Redwings. That was back and forth the entire time. I think I like the 6 bench players more than the guys I normally have out there.

A stellar defensive performance gave West Ham a much needed victory in their fight for promotion against Cagliari. The Italian side, with hopes of promotion of their own, started the game strong by intercepting wayward passes and controlling play in the West Ham end for the first 15 minutes of the game. However, with 38 minutes gone and against the run of play, Modibo Maiga found himself alone in front of goal with the ball at his feet courtesy of a rebound off the Italian GK. Looking around expecting to hear a whistle for offside, Maiga passed the ball into the net and watched as the referee pointed to the center circle to signal the goal was valid.

A few Cagliari chances later, the Hammers left with a 1-0 lead and the all important three points. The win pushes them to 37 points with two games to play, while Cagliari's loss means they no longer control their own destiny in the fight for promotion.

Unlucky 1st Half for Marseille as Valbuena hits the post and the side netting on an open net on the rebound. The French squad had the Italians on the ropes as Cagliari failed to impose their will in the 1st Half. The second half improved for the italians as they switched tactics and found M.Pinilla streaking toward goal on a long pass that he puts pass a diving Mandanda. The game started to go the Italians way as Cossu makes an improbable bicycle pass to an open Pinilla in the box to seal all three points for the Italians.

The Udinese counter struck again, as Muriel and Di Natale did wonders on top in Udinese's fight for promotion. The defense held strong, allowing just one shot in the first half and only two shots on target for the entire game.
Di Natale got behind the defense in the 38th minute and was able to set up Muriel for an easy finish to put the Italians up 1-0. Shortly after halftime, Di Natale did it again, using his speed and ball skills to get behind the defense for an easy goal to give Udinese a comfortable 2-0 lead.
The defense continued to stifle Hamburger, forcing the German side into several turnovers and a very frustrating evening.
The win keeps Udinese atop the table with just three matches to play. Although two of those matches come against teams also fighting for promotion in Aston Villa and Cagliari.

Cagliari fortunate to take all three points as Lady Luck was with the Sardinians tonight- as Di Natale was stopped at point blanked range and the rebound attempt from Muriel from 4 yards into an open net was skied into the stands. D.Dessena curls in a ball into the box and M.Pinilla dives for it and re directs for the only goal of the Match. The Match ends tensely for the Away side as Di Natale free kick hits the top post and a mad scramble for the ball in front of goal could have ended this match in a Draw. As it stands Cagliari avenges their most devastating loss of the Campaign by stealing all three points Away.

Hamburg pulled off a late season shocker which is sure to have massive ramifications at the top of the Serie B leader board. The Germans went into England and got things started in the 26th minute as Artjoms Rudņevs took a pass on the wing and was able to cut into the box and slot a low driving ball past the West Ham goalie. The visitors then went up 2-0 three minutes later when Son Heung-Min headed home a cross by Marcell Jansen. West Ham pushed to try and get back into the game however Hamburg's defense bent but didn't break. Catching the Hammers pushing guys forward the visitors were able to get their 3rd goal of the game on a counter attack this time Rudnevs turning assist man to Son allowing the South Korean international to get his brace. In what can only be described as a typical physical Bundesliga game, Hamburg got a home win to help their chances of remaining in Serie B. The game featured 4 yellow cards and a slew of tackles however the home team got the only goal of the game before half. Striker Rudnevs was able to get a pass deep in the box on what initially looked to be a blown offsides call by the linesman and slot it home for the winner. Upon further review it was determined to be a good call by the linesman to let play continue. The visitors pushed for an equalizer however were not able to get anything past the man of the match Rene Adler. GG Selvy9

My team just seems to match up better vs certain teams. Case in point I beat West Ham in both our meetings and tied Gladbach in our first match.

And the magic number for Udinese is now 1, as the Italian side clinched at least a share of the Serie B crown with a dramatic 3-2 victory over title contender Aston Villa.

Lazzari got the scoring started with a great finish in the box after Di Natale drew the defense to him and found Lazzari wide open.

Aston Villa got themselves back in the game after a brilliant front-post cross and finish by Benteke. The Udinese defense had been holding Aston Villa in check for most of the game but a minor defensive lapse was punished for the equalizer.

The Italians got very lucky in the 77th minute, after an excellent AV defensive effort blocked several shots. One of them fortunately fell right to the foot of Muriel, in the box, and he finished for the 2-1 lead.

Lazzari continued his MotM effort by giving Udinese a bit of breathing room as he sent a fantastic back-post cross to Basta that gave the Italians a 3-1 lead.

AV wasn't done just yet, as another timely cross found Bent's head in the 89th minute, giving the Udinese faithful some doubt as they had already allowed two stoppage time goals this season.

The defense managed to hold, and Udinese sits pretty with one match remaining in S10. With any result against Eindhoven, Udinese will win the Serie B title in their first season. Udinese can also clinch the Serie B title if Cagliari falters in any of their remaining matches.

The first thing Udinese's manager said after stepping to the podium, following his team's Serie B title, was "We are fortunate to be where we are sitting right now, but we certainly did not deserve a point today."

Perhaps it is that demanding demeanor that kept his Udinese team level-headed after they suffered two devastating defeats to Selvy9's M'Gladbach side in the same evening. A performance like that could have easily derailed their title run, but they rebounded after those two games and rebounded again today, after allowing two early goals to a motivated PSV Eindhoven squad.

The match played fast the whole way through, despite Udinese needing just one point to lock up the championship. Each side had several scoring opportunities, but PSV capitalized early, with two brilliant strikes by Strootman to make the home crowd silent.

PSV continued to dominate play, but Udinese was able to sneak a goal in off a nice pass from Di Natale to Muriel in stoppage time of the first half. The late first-half goal rejuvenated the crowd as Udinese searched for the equalizer after the break.

Whenever the going has gone tough for Udinese, they've always relied on their skilled forward, Di Natale. Today was no different as in the 58th minute, Di Natale took a pass from Pinzi, made one move to cut towards the center of the box, and snuck the ball inside the near post to knot the game at two.

The two teams traded remarkable opportunities with about 15 minutes remaining, but ultimately ended in a draw, as Udinese got their all-important point and PSV stole an away point in their efforts to avoid relegation.
