The Hammers started the game on fire, with Modibo Maiga tapping in a rebound inside four minutes for the 1-0 lead. Ten minutes later the Hammers doubled their lead by way of Mohammed Diame, and with the league's stingiest defense allowing only a goal per game, West Ham begun planning their parade. A Cagliari goal in the 37th minute cut the lead in half and gave the Italian side renewed energy heading into the second half. West Ham started panicking. With 60 minutes gone Cagliari was awarded a penalty when CB James Tomkins clipped Pinilla inside the area, and the West Ham supporters were in full on meltdown mode. Their respite was short lived when the Cagliari man hit the crossbar; the Italians would equalize less than 10 minutes later. James Collins, who had a terrible day, watched the ball go over his head to the waiting attacker, who easily headed it home. Regrouping, the Hammers began possessing the ball, slowly getting back into the game. In the 81st minute, Matthew Jarvis received the ball on the left wing and raced past his man before being fouled by a Cagliari defender. Lesser players would have gone down, but Jarvis fought to stay up as the referee played advantage. Three touches later, his right-footed cross was headed into the net by Modibo Maiga to give West hame a 3-2 lead with just nine minutes left in the game. Cagliari would have one more opportunity to score in the fourth of what was supposed to be three minutes of stoppage time. After dispossessing Ricardo Vaz Te in the corner the Italians raced the other way against only two defenders; inexplicably, defender James Collins had moved into the attacking box. With pace and a teammate in tow, Victor Ibarbo attempted to cut back against James Tomkins. The defender read the play though, and cleared the ball to midfield as the final whistle blew and supporters of the Claret and Blue streamed onto the Italian field.
Tigres will face Cagliari with the winner taking their place in Serie A next season. Tigres will be the home team for the game. Good luck to you both! @IJGator @HokieNYC

Potential? There's a clause in the deal that makes Hokie's promotion void at anytime in first season if the insider is not brought back next year.
