    It's finally here...

Same setup as last season, Match Lobbies, Slow Game speed. In the event of a draw, make sure the away side quits the match before the clock runs out, in order to gather correct stats.

What is your schedule looking like? I can play almost any night with a bit of a heads up with the exception of this weekend because it's my son's birthday and I won't be around much if at all.

A great beginning to the Serie A campaign as Udinese and Lille fooled the masses, playing to a high-scoring, 3-3 draw. Both managers didn't take long settling in with their updated rosters. Manager Brech's squad moved the ball well in the first few minutes, getting the ball to Muriel on the end line inside the box with space. Muriel drew the defender, passed it to Di Natale in front of the net, who had a quick touch inside the near post and past the keeper for the first goal of Udinese's Serie A season.

Less than 20 minutes later, it was Manager RedAL925 who equalized. The Italian defense didn't mark Balmont as he dribbled near the box, and the Frenchman powered a shot by Brkic.

The most impressive goal of the evening came shortly before the break. Basta was able to get free down the right sideline and delivered a perfect cross with velocity into the box. The ball came in with such pace, that the defense was unable to mark Di Natale in time as he headed home his second goal of the season.

With Udinese holding a 3-1 lead in the second half, Lille went to work. The French side really dominated possession in the second half, holding the ball for long periods of time and making deliberate passes. The execution from RedAL925 was spot on, and Lille was able to make it a one goal game in the 67th minute.

The momentum for Lille continued, and just a few minutes later Mavuba found Rodelin at the penalty marker without much room. Rodelin took one touch to the left to clear some space and delivered a shot that silenced the home crowd.

    gg IJGator

A very even match had only one goal, which came on right-footed curler from Hernandez at the top of the box. This game featured lots of possession in midfield, with the occasional fruitful foray into the attacking third. Vorm certainly earned MOTM honors with two great saves from 1v1 opportunities. This game featured a total of 4 crosses (3 from Malaga) and none were particularly forced.

Both managers commented on the painfully slow pace of play, wishfully blaming it on first match rust.

dooz did this game play as bad as ours in terms of speed? I felt the player movements were slow, but the pass speed was crazy slow.

Snoozer in Monchengladbach Ends In Goalless Draw
Borussia Monchengladbach opened up their season today against Udinese, but both teams' offense looked to still be in preseason form. The two teams combined for just 1 measly shot on target and ended 0-0. "Obviously a goal would have been nice today," noted Coach Bronc, "but our defense performed well and we'll live with the point we earned." The match also acted as a preview for the two teams' Coppa meeting, which should take place within the next few days. Coach Bronc went on to say, "We'll certainly look at what did well and what we can improve on. It's a bit of a strange setup having two games against Udinese this early in the season, but we'll simply have to make the most of the opportunities given to us."

You should have asked Coach Bronc if he was so unhappy with playing Udinese twice so early, why he didn't rig the Coppa draw :)

Both teams scored off headed crosses. Both teams had a chance to score a second goal. The worst miss was Agbonlahor WIDE OPEN on a sweet 1-2 with Benteke and he decided to just hit the ball off the post from 8 yards and the goalie nowhere to be found. Idiot.
