I nominate Gonzalo Bergessio who lead Catania with 7 goals this season.

Rickie Lambert - Southampton

The striker not only led all of Serie B in goals scored, but was the focal point of the Serie B champions all season. He scored the game winning goal in 4 games, including two games that he put Southampton in the lead in the final 10 minutes and a game against Hannover in which he scored twice to turn a 1-2 deficit into a 3-2 lead. His three assists on top of 12 goals scored also made him a direct part of more goals than anyone else in Serie B, and a factor in over half of the goals scored in all by Southampton.

Same story for the past few years with Marseille...

Mandanda's squad had 5 wins and 8 draws while he posted 8 clean sheets. If Marseille were picking up any points, it was because their goalkeeper wasn't letting anything by in over 61% of those contests.

I will say the MVP would be Susaeta.. Led the league in assists and also was T12 in goals...

Ever being the contrarian, Sven Ulreich - 6 clean sheets, 3 MOTMS (2nd in the league), .94 GAA. In a team that lacked offense, it was defending and goalkeeping that saved our sorry season. the 3 MOTM awards demonstrates Ulreich had to take matters into his hands on more than one occasion to pull our bacon out of the fire.

Again... as I stated last week and no one replied sadly... I can see both ends of the argument. You do A LOT more with your outfield players than you do your keeper. And the AI does a lot in this regard. Especially with shot-stopping. My point which had nothing to do with the discussion was that I play with him a lot more than the average Joe.

Leonardo Silva. 2 MOTMs and tied for the team high with 2 goals. He consistently led the team in tackles and anchored a defense that gave up .64 goals per game.

With Geneseo98 not returning for Season 13, I will nominate A. Johnson in his place.

when i see a nomination for a goalkeeper, i would think of it as a nomination for the defense as a whole. you're not personally controlling your keeper, but considering we don't really keep defensive statistics other than goals against and clean sheets, the keeper in most respects becomes the face of the defense. i would consider a nomination for a keeper not on his ability to make fantastic saves, but based on the defense's (which is user controlled) overall ability to keep balls out of the net.

Makes sense sir. But I come out a lot to challenge people with my keeper. Honestly on my team (and I suck so take this with a grain of salt) my wingers are the most important players because they shield the rest of my defense with how much many teams in Serie B bombed it down the wings this season.
