The scoreline was in favor of Dinamo Moscow after full time, but this game easily could have gone the other way. Kasaev put the visitors on top early with a nice finish one on one with the goalie following a through ball. The score would stay that way until the 88th minute, but not before Lyon would hit both the post and crossbar. Dinamo was lucky to have a lead when Kevin Kuranyi gave them an insurance goal from a corner kick. Lyon would get on the board in stoppage time as Lacazette finished a header of his own, but Kokorin would give the insurance back to Dinamo before the final whistle getting into the box to power one into the back of the net for a 3-1 victory.

Good game BESHIKTAS and good luck rest of this season.

Kokorin scores in the 90th minute to give Dinamo a 3-1 lead

PSV Eindhoven's season opener proved to be an exciting one, as the Dutch side salvaged a 2-2 draw thanks to super-sub A. Maher. The 1st half was an uneventful one, with T. Matavz missing an open header the only real chance. Things opened up nicely in the 2nd half when S. Arias played a perfect pass to B. Ruiz, who blasted a shot past the diving keeper for the opening goal. Not 10 minutes later, Sao Paulo took the lead...picking up the equalizer with a low shot from D. Pabon, followed by a corner routine finished off by Antonio Carlos. Things seemed bleak for the home side, so a change was made; Maher in for the defense-minded S. Schaars. The move turned out to be the master stroke of the game, as Maher was open on the back post for an easy tap-in to level the match. While there may have been a hint of offsides, the goal stood, and the final whistle blew on the opening match of the season.

PSV Eindhoven and Parma played out a 0-0 draw that had plenty of action, mostly from the home side. In the first 10 minutes of the match, PSV laid siege to the visitors net, but could not find a goal. The game settled down after that, and despite their best efforts neither team could find a goal.

Parma's Parolo Negates Late Sounders Equalizer
Parma opened up the new campaign under their new manager against Seattle, and narrowly avoided a late disaster. Biabiany gave the home side a 1-0 lead in the first half, and despite a back-and-forth flow to the game, Paletta's header off of a corner attempt gave Parma a 2-0 lead and it appeared the full 3 points. However, Seattle came firing back late, with two Martins goals. The celebration for the MLS side was short-lived though, as Parma midfielder Marco Parolo scored in the 88th minute, two minutes after Martins' equalizer, to give Parma the 3-2 win. "A bit of a rollercoaster game," commented Coach Bronc following the win, "but we stuck together and didn't let that equalizer kill our momentum."

Going in to this game Lyon had only 1 point out of 2 games. They had to give it all, and try to get all the points. Early in the game Lacezetta couldn't take advantage of opponents' gaps, and missed a 1 to 1 against Shakhtar's goalkeeper.

In first half Shakhtar had no chances what so ever, but second half they also stepped it up and found 6 shots towards Alton's goal, but none of them bothered A.
Lopes. Their only dangerous possessions came in second half when they got the cross bar and missed a very similar opportunity as Lyon had in first half.

Overall it was a great game. Good luck the rest of the season @vipermensa

GG BESHIKTAS, a fun one to be a part of. Seattle's plan of attack was to use Martins and Dempsey's speed down the wings to work their way in with big Kenny Cooper taking up space in the middle. Oba nearly opened the scoring himself after he found a loose ball in the box. His bad angle shot was saved, but the rebound went right to Cooper who found the far post. Lyon controlled much of the midfield throughout the game, but the Sounders back four were strong in limiting any clean chances for Lyon. Martins and Cooper combined for a neat little counterattack, with Martins rolling a back heel past the last defender, and this time it was Cooper being denied his first shot by the post, and the rebound fell nicely to Martins who blasted it to seal all 3 points.

Good job. I need to learn how to stop those wingers, otherwise I'll keep getting killed by crosses. Especially against a fast player like Martins.

An eventful match ends with points shared as PSV Eindhoven and Lyon could not find the back of the net. Perhaps the best chance of the match came in the 33' when B. Gomis put a back-post header on frame. The shot was well-saved by J. Zoet, but the rebound came to the feet of Gomis, who put his left-footed chance straight across the goal mouth and past the post for a goal kick. PSV Eindhoven would threaten late with a couple of corner kicks, but the final whistle blew on Eindhoven's 3rd straight draw to start the season.

Parma Complete Matchweek 1 With Undefeated Record
Parma played their first of two matches at Marseille today, with the second being a cup match set to be played within the next few days. Parma fired first in today's match, with Amauri winning the battle in the box off of a corner for a 1-0 Parma lead. Parma held the 1-0 lead into the half, but Marseille's Valbuena quickly equalized to start the second. In the 64th minute, Jonathan Biabiany broke through and beat the rushing out keeper by running around him and scoring on an open net, but Marseille stayed strong. Shortly thereafter, it appeared Marseille had equalized once again with a short cross in the box that caught the Parma keeper and defense off guard, but offsides was ruled on the play and the goal disallowed. Marseille then pushed for a late goal, but eventually had the wind taken out of them when Biabiany scored his second of the day in the 90th minute. Marco Parolo earned his second MOTM honor of the matchweek with 100% passing and 5 tackles won. His effort helped Parma complete the week with 2 wins and a draw. When asked about his team's chances at the title this season now that Parma is atop the Serie A table early in the season, Coach Bronc said, "Let's calm down here, it's only one week of eight. Last I checked that CSKA team still had a doughnut in the loss column as well." Parma will now begin to prepare for Week 2's matches, with games against Dinamo Moscow, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Sao Paulo.
