Serie B opens up with an eventless game to put both hedache and pitt4life21 to sleep. Thousands of fans in Amsterdam also seemed to lose interest as minutes passed by. Additional write up and extra highlights will be covered by Ajax iMagazine in TFS NEWSWIRE.

I copy pasted someone from SerieA, don't remember now. So I didn't think about MOM until my second game when I saw another post that had it. Keepers I still have no idea what's expected. I'll go try to find instructions on that.

Yea I just found it. I don't remember seeing clean sheets. And obviously the copy paste had no clean sheet so I lose on that. I'll update top post.

Stoke City, got the big win against Frenchie1916's Bor. M'Gladbach's team. Stoke was able to get on the board early with two quick strikes and was able to weather the storm when frenchie's squad tried to bring it late. Good defense, good possession and controlling the game was the key to Stoke being able to get the win. Stoke's manager after the game was thrilled to be able to get a positive result. "We're a good squad, and we were disappointed with our first result against Newcastle. We knew it would be tight against a good German club team, but we held strong and we got the result we wanted. I'm proud of our team."

    Good game Frenchie1916

Olympiakos Battles Club America for 3 Points
Greece-- Club America ( Kevin Gomez ) traveled across the world to take on host Olympiakos, as we have seen during friendlies they have been intense and not exactly "friendly." So we expect to see a rivalry set into place here in Serie B. CA got on the board early when Sambueza was able to hit a air ball to Peralta who knocked off a defender on his way to putting it past Roberto. On the ensuing kick, Mitroglou picked his way through the defense expecting to be stopped but CA defenders never made him give the ball up. He took a nice rip, as the keeper stopped the initial kick, he raced and put back the rebound to notch the tie.

In the 52nd minute, Dominguez would touch the ball but a defender would deflect it straight to Mitroglou and he would put The Reds up 2-1. CA would threaten plenty of times afterwards, at least 2 known where Roberto would make a nice save on a strike and then off a corner where the attacker would push the header just above the bar. In the 90th Dossevi would be lucky enough to receive a clear from Keeper Roberto and he wound up putting it in for a decisive three points.

Don't remember first assist, but it was from whomever takes your corners at the right. Your second assist and MOTM were both victor Moses. My assist came from Ibrahima Traore.

MONCHENGLADBACH - Looking to bounce back from a sour loss, Borussia Monchengladbach was soundly and wholly defeated on the pitch Monday night by the visitors from the south of England, as Southampton put the home squad to the sword 4-0 with a stunning display of passing and shooting. Monchengladbach went down early to a lovely through ball from Shane Long to Graziano Pelle, and seemed to be deflated from the get-go.

The Saints and Pelle struck again just 20 minutes later on a ball that looked to be perfectly marked by the centre back and should have been handled by the keeper. But the result was the same, and the home squad went into the dressing room down 2 and looking listless.

Frenchie gave his team his best Sir Alex hairdryer treatment at the half, but it was no match for what apparently was the massive amount of money slipped to the match officials by MiaFLSurf , as a dubious penalty was awarded just 5 minutes after the teams returned to action. Replay clearly showed the defender got the ball and made only minimal contact with the Southampton player, but the official would hear none of the German protests and awarded the spot kick.

To add insult to injury, already on a yellow card, attacking midfielder Granit Xhaka was sent off with his second yellow of the match in the 78th minute, after making only minimal contact with a Southampton player.

"I'll not argue Xhaka's first yellow - it was definitely deserved," Frenchie said, clearly disgusted. "But his second? Please. My sister hits harder than that. There were harder tackles than that in this match - as you'll see in the following highlight - where no card was given, and my player gets sent off and will have to serve a suspension for breathing on a guy. This referee should be embarrassed and I sincerely hope there's a full investigation into his conduct. I spoke with MiaFLSurf in the tunnel after the match and told him that his squad definitely deserved the win and congratulated him for it, but we should not have to fight 12 men on the pitch, and that is definitely what happened tonight."

Frenchie's point may be well-taken as a clattering tackle in stoppage time by Southampton went unremarked by the referee, and nearly got Frenchie sent to the stands as his abuse of the fourth official reached an apoplexy.

Monchengladbach has dug itself a hole early, and will need to rebound fast. This may be the most competitive Serie B ever, and finding one's self 0-2 with 6 goals against does not bode well for the long campaign ahead.
