In what is becoming a worrying trend for the hosts, Marseille were able to get their third straight victory over their rivals this release as the French team collected the first 3 points on offer in defense of their title. Romao would start the scoring as his bullet header from 8 yards out gave the French visitors the lead. On 51 minutes, a dubious award of a penalty was cooly slotted home by MoTM Dimitri Payet, who shot it in the middle as the keeper guessed wrong. Substitute Gignac, on for Michy Batshuayi, had a chance to make it 3 but his header came crashing off the post and the rebound header was smartly saved by Rui Patricio. 3 valuable points for the visitors as they get ready to face off against last year's runners up, CSKA Moscow, and last year's Serie B Champions, Southampton, in a tough opening week to the season.

Good game, you deserved all 3 points. My keeper came up huge and I couldn't create a thing. Could be a very long season for me. I might be sent to manage in Siberia soon!!

vipermansa was not available to post so I am.
UDA fails to keep another lead, but at least manages to take a point out of this game. A nice set pieces goal by Zongo brings the Spanierds a 1-0 lead.

Shortly after that goal, a very questionable penalty call that looked more like a dive will help the Russians tie the game that they were not really dominating. Some travelling Spanish fans had chants tying TFSerie refs to a Russian Mob chain.

A few good chances were saved by Gabulov which seemed to bring him the MOM award for the game. After all, he was the main man behind the point taken at home.

Lyon escapes Almeria with a win with a 90th minute goal coming against the run of play- as Lacazette out hustles the Defense towards a hail mary pass from J. Ferri- and slots home the winner with little time left for the Home side to respond.

No assists are awarded on PKs in the league (even though FIFA likes to hand them out)

Well I posted what I saw on stats. If I didn't, I'm sure I'd get a "why don't you post what ea is telling you, rah rah rah rah...". So it's a lose lose situation anyways.

Kissing each other's sisters or your own sisters? There would be a huge difference between the two.

Besiktas could hardly get a point from Serie A veteran RedAL925 Right when hopes for points were down to zero, substitute O. Ozyakup blasts the ball in , and earns a point for his team. " This is not the start we wanted to have for this season" Besiktas manager said. Captain of the team Sosa mentioned " If we can not win these games at home we don not deserve to be in Serie A."
Some team mates of his were upset about their captain`s words, and they promised they will show up next game and collect all 3 points for the fans and for their captain.

    Good game Red.

A good season opener for Hoffenheim with another thrilling match against redwings8831 and the uptempo Villareal. The German side did well to score first with Roberto Firmino doing his best Landon Donovan impression, smashing home a short-sided goal. From there, it was all ball control and mistake prevention for Hoffenheim, keeping 61% of the ball despite being doubly outshot. Villarreal came close, including with eight corners in the match, but Baumann and Hoffenheim were able to keep the clean sheet.

Dinamo finally put something together with quality possession and limiting chances for the Turkish opponent. The manager was getting worried with some poor showings out the of the gate. Hopefully the Russian outfit can put a little run together. Good game Beshik!

It was looking to be a bleak night for Hoffenheim in its home opener, but a furious two-goal rally saves a point for the Germans and leaves Lyon in despair. After Yattara and Gonlons gave the French side a quick lead just after halftime, a much-needed, sparking short-range curler by Roberto Firmino revitalized Hoffenheim, with an Adam Szalai equalizer after a nice chip pass from Kevin Volland into the heart of the box saves the day, but only just, for rschwep and co. Great game HokieNYC

Hamburger SV plays heart breaker as R. van der Vaart steals a point in the 90th minute with a superb Freek Kick as Lopes is left wondering how he let a goal from that steep an angle beat him. It is a disappointing 1 point for the Home side as the French squad has squandered a lead in two matches-

A game where tension was at peak, Broncos218 was busy with some name calling such as "hedache and his Mourinho-like nonsense". He seemed to forget to mention his players that they need to score to win.

"I don't really care what he says. We still got out there and played our game. This Hamburg team plays 19th century football. I'd rather be what he refers to as [Mourinho-like (a respectable friend of mine) nonsense], than whatever it is they do when they get on the pitch". Hedache was blunt as usual.

Majority of the game was UDA having chances but failing to put the ball between the frames. All shots went just wide out. And yet the most important opportunity was at the very end where Hamburg could have robbed "the special one" with a counter, but as mentioned above, Hamburg forwards were not in a mindset to put the ball in the net, even when there was just net and nothing else around.
