    Rui Patricio - Sporting CP
    [IMG]

Sporting CP featured a balanced attack with goals coming from all over the field. But the defense was solid throughout most of the season, and in large part due to the heroics of goalkeeper Rui Patricio. The Portuguese number one was a major reason why Sporting avoided the relegation scrap this season, posting 6 clean sheets and 3 man of the match awards.

    West Brom MVP
The West Brom Faithful will receive this years MVP nod from the club. Nobody that played on the field deserved a mention after multiple losing records were broken during this year's abysmal season. Yet the West Brom faithful packed the Hawthorns for every game and this is the thanks the club gives to its loyal supporters as they promise to get atleast one win next season after the firing of their manager Calhockey.

Steve Clark - Goalkeeper - Columbus Crew SC

Sure, this nomination is largely a waste of time, but just maybe it will accomplish one thing: education of the statistical anomaly that was Crew SC 'keeper Steve Clark's campaign. Clark paced Serie A with nine clean sheets this season. The Black & Gold went 5-9-5 (with one match to play). Do the math on that one -- 90% of the time when Crew SC got points, it required Clark to keep a clean sheet. I don't have access to the Opta data, but I'm going to guess he faced an onslaught of shots in each one too. I'm not sure if this makes an LVP case for my offense more than an MVP case for Clark, but it's just another fun quirk of the Serie A grind that was this experiment.

Adler is the team MVP but I don't think he'd get league MVP.

    Mempis Depay
In a storybook season for the club the standout performer was the Manchester United bound forward, Memphis Depay. With 31 league goals (including a hattrick in the title showdown) Memphis led the league in goals. Not stopping there, his 9 assists in league play also led the league as Memphis created a key partnership with Jozefzoon halfway through the season that really made a difference for this Dutch team. His 6 MoTM awards also put him in 1st for Serie A, albeit in a tie with both Roberto of Olympiakos and Costa of Shakhtar.

CDM Igor Denisov - Dinamo Moscow

In a season that saw Dinamo finish mid-table, Denisov's play was at a top level. Densiov scored 2 goals and finished second on the team with 3 assists, despite his non-attacking position. Densiov also led the team with 2 MOTM awards. Denisov's play in other competitions was also top-notch, and his enforcer role in front of the backline helped the team earn 6 clean sheets. One of Dinamo Moscow's most talented players, Igor Denisov lived up to that billing with exceptional play week in and week out.

    GK Roberto

The man that kept Olympiakos in several matches this year, 6 of which he was the MoM. If Kos offensive would have been better they wouldn't be sitting in the playoff predicament that they currently sit in and Roberto would have a much stronger percentage of taking the award home.
