It was an absolute dream start for Toulouse in their TSL A debut under manager CMac. The French side were able to come away with an unexpected 3-0 win against the manager who finished second in TSL A last season, wSeals9. The two managers played to a pair of scoreless draws in season 18, so the scoreline was nothing short of surprising.

After a scoreless first half, Martin Braithwaite got the scoring started in the 49th minute as he took a slipped pass from Tigo Doumbia on the give and go and tucked it past the keeper. The other half of the dynamic duo, Wissam Ben Yedder, doubled the lead with a beauty of a free kick in the 56th minute from 29 yards out. Oscar Trejo put the finishing touches on the performance as he was able to clean up a dangerous ground cross from Adrien Regattin that was deflected and left on the goal line. Mauro Goicoechea made a few key saves in the match and was deserving of his clean sheet.

The 3 points against a title contender is obviously a great start, but will mean very little if Toulouse is not able to take care of business in the Holiday House Derby vs Hoffenheim and their match against Marseille to round out the week. The early season doesn't get much easier for Feyenoord as they take on the current champions PSV in matchday 2 before they clash with Hoffenheim to finish their first matchweek.

Lokomotiv's TSL A debut didn't start off as hoped as the Russian squad came away disappointed with a 1-1 draw to Marseille. Marseille scored the first goal of the match in the 29' when a bad pass deflected off a Lokomotiv defender right to Cabella, who chipped the ball over the charging keeper to give the away team a 1-0 lead. Marseille found plenty more opportunities in the first half but failed to add to their lead, something that would come back to bite them.

Lokomotiv controlled the pace of the match in the 2nd half, finding more and more opportunities as the match progressed until finally, in the 74th minute, Maicon found some space down the right sideline and sent in a low cross, which Mbark Boussoufa finished on a diving header to level the scoreboard. Alexandre Samedov was subbed on in the 80', and 7 minutes later, found himself 1 on 1 with Mandanda, but as he had done all match, Mandanda sent away the point blank shot, putting an end to Lokomotiv's scoring chances for the match.

All the bounces went in favor of the home side in this one as Toulouse tops Marseille 2-0. Both goals came in the second half as Toulouse is able to secure max points through two Matchday with the Holiday House Derby looming.

Martin Braithwaite was the engine going forward notching a solid goal as he won a 50-50 ball in the box before making a move and slotting it home for the eventual winner. He assisted the second goal late as Togo Doumbia found space and headed home a cross. Doumbia earned man of the match honors with a mix of solid defensive play as well.

In a matchup between two of Holland's Big Three and #1 vs #2 in the TSLPI, PSV and Feyenoord finished with one goal apiece to each claim a point. Karim El Ahmadi opened up the scoring for the home side in the 64' min after making a beautiful run between two PSV defenders and being picked out by Jens Toornstra. PSV finally got on the score sheet after Kenneth Vermeer saved a shot from Adam Maher, but Tonny Vilhena wasn't able to save it before going into the open net and was credited with an own goal. Both teams had several other opportunities to find another goal throughout the game but the defensive play was stellar on both sides of the field. Gg Zikry

Lokomotiv gets its first win of the season as Alan Kasaev willed his team to a 3-2 win with a stunning run and goal in the very last seconds of the match. It was his second goal of the match and it couldn't have come at a better time for Lokomotiv who seemed to be on their way to another draw, leaving ASinghal to wonder if this season would be a season of draws just like a few seasons ago.

The first Holiday House Derby of season 19 ended like most before it, with a decisive CMac win over rschwep. This was the Toulouse fans' introduction to the famous derby and they were pleased by their team's 4-1 victory though there were some audible groans when Toulouse conceded for the first time in the campaign in the 90th minute. The win gave Toulouse full points in the first matchweek, including a cup win. This was Hoffenheim's first match of the season and they will look to get points from either Tigres or Feyenoord this week.

Martin Braithwaite was the star as the skilled and pacy striker finished with Man of the Match honors with a goal and a pair of assists. His striking partner Wissam Ben Yedder scored a pair of goals as well. The tandem is off to a hot start much to the delight of their manager. Togo Doumbia scored the other goal for Toulouse. Hoffenheim's star man, Kevin Volland, did break the clean sheet in the 90th minute after a beautiful run from Jonathan Schmid.

In a matchup between two Buckeye Cup participants, Feyenoord were able to find the only goal of this match and their first win of the new season. Hoffenheim stymied Feyenoord's attack for the most part all game. The Dutch side were able to find the only goal they needed when Karim El Ahmadi held off a defender and slipped in a nice pass to Jens Toornstra, who calmly placed the ball past Baumann with his right foot. After falling behind, Hoffenheim created several scoring opportunities in the last 10 minutes, but Kenneth Vermeer made some incredible saves to preserve his clean sheet and ultimately earn man of the match for Feyenoord. Toulouse FC manager Cmac will gladly take the 0-0 draw and move on. After the 5-1 destruction manager HokieNYC laid upon him the last time these two met, it was definitely a big improvement. It is a result both managers can be happy with early on as both have title aspirations heading forward. Both teams had a few chances but both goalkeepers were outstanding in keeping their clean sheets. The draw is the first time Toulouse were unable to earn full points in the early going, giving them 10 Points through 4 games. This is Saint-Etienne second game of the young season, earning 4 points thus far.

ASSE take three points in their opening AWAY match- as the French side opens up their Season. Ruffier was unbeatable as West Brom attacked early on- but the French Keeper would not be beaten. It was enough to allow ASSE to steal all three points, as West Brom is caught napping on a restart, allowing Beric to get open for a free header.

Feyenoord claimed their second win of the season with a 2-0 victory of Lou and the talented Marseille. Both Feyenoord goals came off rebounds where Feyenoord got a good look at goal but Steve Mandanda parried the ball right back into trouble for Miquel Nelom and Marko Vejinović to punish him for his mistakes. The Feyenoord defense was able to hold the French side to only 3 shots the whole game but Remy Cabella and Michy Batshuayi were both turned away when they had opportunities. This victory puts Feyenoord at 7 points through four matches and gets their goal differential back to a zero after their 3-0 defeat at the hands of Toulouse on opening match day. Seals is enjoying the great defense that his team is playing but wants them to be more creative in the attacking third as the season progresses. Good match Lou!

In a game that took about 48 hours to finally get completed, Tigres dominated play, but Marseille squeaked away with a draw. Both teams were very aggressive, but Mandanda was the biggest difference in the game, stopping all shots, until swatting one in himself near the end of the match.
