    Cal 38
    USC 20

The nation's best passer went off against USC for one of his best games of a stellar season. His favorite target was WR Maurice Harris who was promoted from the slot to the #1 guy midway through the game when #1 WR Bryce Treggs broke his tailbone and will miss the remainder of the season. This sucks ass as Treggs has been one of the top WRs all season (he's currently #3 in the NCAA for receiving yards and 5th for receptions) as well as one of the better returners (he's #3 in the country for KR yards) but Cal has some very talented WRs and Harris will be a force now that he's out of the slot. Things got dicey even later in the game when Cal lost another WR but luckily it was only for 1 quarter. It was still really rough only having 4 WRs for that 1 quarter though.

Coach Jello mentioned after the game that while he loved the passing from Kline, he can't wait until next season when he has a QB that's not going to rush for -40 yards in a game (his 4th negative rushing yards game out of 10 this season)......
This game gives QB Kline a total of -18 rushing yards in his last 7 games and only 25 total rushing yards on the season (2.5 RYPG) which simply won't ever happen again once coach Jello gets a suitable QB on his team.

    Game Balls:
    QB Zach Kline - 196.6, 30/38 (78%), 360 yds, 5 TD, 1 INT
    HB Brendan Bigelow - 11 car, 93 yds (8.4 YPC) - 2 rec, 8 yds, TD
    WR Maurice Harris - 10 rec, 112 yds, 2 TD - 2 car, 19 yds
WR Kenny Lawler - 4 rec, 81 yds, TD

Mizzou traveled to Lexington this week to take on the Kentucky Wildcats. Having been destroyed by UK in the E 1.0 while coaching Penn State, we knew we were going to have our hands full. 4 interceptions and 2 fumbles later, early in the 4th quarter the Wildcats scored from 4 yards out to give the Wildcats a 24-7 and the win. The winds of NCAA favored decided to blow in the Mizzou Tigers favor from there on out. The Tigers countered with a 2 min TD drive. Then on the 2nd play from scrimmage Mizzou LB Ruise would manage to strip the ball and Mizzou covered and quickly score to DGB, who was playing as the #2 after Mizzou WR Lucas went down for the season earlier in the game. The Tigers would then kick-off with all three timeouts only down 3 points with just under 3 mins to go. The UK offense would come out and run back 2 back screen plays that we snuffed out but the Mizzou defense and forced the UK Wildcats to punt. Mizzou only had to use 1 timeout to get the ball back from the CPU. Mizzou QB Franklin would lead a 2 min drill that would bang the ball in from the 1 yard line with only :16 remaining on the clock.

The game made ESPN Classic #2 on my machine.

    Game Ball:
    RB H. Josey 21 car 120 yds 2 TD

Mizzou has a bye week this before hosting Stanford.

I am heading out of town for a day...so this is gonna be a quick one.

WSU visited the desert and the Arizona Wildcats....we knew with our forward scouting we had a few areas we could try and win at on both sides of the ball.

On O we wanted to try the Wildcats deep and make them cover our pretty solid starting core of WR's....but they really struggled in this game anytime there was press or man to man to get any separation....we also had some pretty bad luck with hands at times dropping a few balls that could have helped the cause. Halliday in true form was his real world erratic self again at times throwing darts and perfect passes and other times just being wild as heck.

The ground game and Teondray Caldwell won the game for us, over 100 yds rushing along with Mayle taking a Jet Sweep for an 80 yard TD on just a perfectly set up and blocked play....

We knew going in our D didnt match up well really anywhere so we tried to mix in a ton of looks, played mostly off the WRs and played bend but dont break D all game long. The Cougars as we have been able to do the majority of the year played solid D, came up with timely turnovers and got some sacks when needed... We picked off some passes....but man we had a shot at a few more...the Wildcat QB is a beast at times both shaking off sacks and then making plays...on a couple of those we had shots for turnovers after he shook a rusher that he got away with and then on the next play made us pay.

For the most part we kept Carey in check 93 yards rushing which wasnt bad, but sack yardage hurt the wildcat total...

Defending the hurry up the entire game is a challenge and we did alright with it...playing a ton of players, we were out gained in the end 377 to 314..but won the turnover battle and the score 24-17...the exact score of the Cougar win over the Wildcats last Saturday ;).

    GG UofCWildcat cya next year.

It was a good game. I was spastic with my passing all day and it cost me. Two red zone turnovers killed me. Plus that missed field goal that I just missed from hitting perfectly. Hit the damn cross bar. Tough one to lose. Gotta upset FSU and beat the Sun Pussies to go bowling. Yay....
