    RPI Rankings

(RPI Rankings done by HAL9100 - Questions / Comments done by NeuroticTruth)

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    13-3

    Current: #1 - Prev: #1

    (RPI: .600 - Prev: .656)

Despite not winning the NFC West, the 49ers have held the top spot in the RPI rankings from start to finish. Can the CPU rated #1 overall team finish strong and capture a Super Bowl title? Doubtful.

    14-2

    Current: #2 - Prev: #2

    (RPI: .586 - Prev: .615)

The revival and MVP caliber play of Sam Bradford has brought the Rams to the top of the NFC West, can it bring them back to the Super Bowl? Hands down the odds on favorite to win it.

    13-3

    Current: #3 - Prev: #3

    (RPI: .572 - Prev: .579)

Despite a late season slip up, the Packers secured the #2 seed, a first round bye, and home field advantage. As evident by their 7-1 record at home this season, its going to be tough sledding for anyone going into Lambeau (figuratively and literally).

    14-2

    Current: #4 - Prev: #11

    (RPI: .569 - Prev: .523)

With a late push the Broncos were able to win the AFC West and secure the #1 Seed in the AFC. The big question remains, can Brock continue his stellar play in the playoffs?

    9-7

    Current: #5 - Prev: #5

    (RPI: .552 - Prev: .556)

Despite being 5th in the RPI rankings, the Steelers missed the playoffs in one of the tightest division races in HK history. No repeat for Coach Knoles means the focus now turns to how to turn this team back into a contender.

    11-5

    Current: #6 - Prev: #10

    (RPI: .547 - Prev: .535)

Hurns put the Cowboys on his back and carried them to a late season rally. After securing the #3 seed, can the rookie sensation continue to carry his team to a Super Bowl title?

    12-4

    Current: #7 - Prev: #13

    (RPI: .546 - Prev: .508)

The Jets have quietly been having a stellar season despite some record setting performances. Flying under the radar (pun intended) may serve this team well as they have a tough first round matchup. Still my favorite though out of the AFC to earn a Super Bowl birth.

    9-7

    Current: #8 - Prev: #9

    (RPI: .587 - Prev: .535)

What a strong finish for the Bengals. After squeaking into the playoffs, a very tough first round matchup looms. Can AJ Green get separation from Revis Island?

    10-6

    Current: #9 - Prev: #7

    (RPI: .537 - Prev: .545)

Despite finishing 9th in the RPI and behind two division opponents, the Browns held on to capture the AFC North crown. Will they be able to hold on to their playoff spot against the upstart Patriots? Not looking promising.

    13-3

    Current: #10 - Prev: #5

    (RPI: .528 - Prev: .557)

What a turnaround for this team in such a short time. From the #2 overall pick last offseason to the #2 seed in the AFC. Can Coach Hal continue his Cinderella season and capture a Super Bowl title? Or will the clock strike midnight and leave these princesses yearning for more?

    7-9

    Current: #11 - Prev: #22

    (RPI: .518 - Prev: .480)

What a turnaround this team had in the second half. Going from irrelevant and hopeless, to a promising future. If the Seahawks continue to improve, the NFC West may challenge the AFC North for toughest division in HK.

    9-7

    Current: #12 - Prev: #19

    (RPI: .490 - Prev: .522)

Injuries and midseason coaching changes cost this team a legitimate chance at a playoff birth. Watch out though Packers, the Vikings are definitely a threat to the crown in Season 3.

    9-7

    Current: #13 - Prev: #18

    (RPI: .513 - Prev: .492)

The Ravens 2nd half turnaround made many people realize just how scary the AFC North truly is. The biggest question for them is will they able to secure their roster (Boldin and Jenkins are potential FAs) to continue their climb in Season 3?

    10-6

    Current: #14 - Prev: #8

    (RPI: .513 - Prev: .537)

Turnovers and poor defense plagued the Saints in the 2nd half. Despite a convincing win to end the season, things are not looking good in the Big Easy.

    10-6

    Current: #15 - Prev: #13

    (RPI: .511 - Prev: .522)

A strong finish secured the Pats with a playoff birth. Without Hernandez the offense will be a bit hindered, but I smell an upset over Cleveland in the first round.

    9-7

    Current: #16 - Prev: #8

    (RPI: .508 - Prev: .540)

Despite a strong start and a 9-3 record through 12 games, the Chargers stumbled their way to a 9-7 finish, just barely missing the playoffs. Coach MG keeps proving to us all just how much like his predecessor he is.

    7-9

    Current: #17 - Prev: #17

    (RPI: .495 - Prev: .494)

Despite a midseason push, the Giants finished a disappointing 7-9. The Giants have seemingly taken over the "little brother" role in New York and now look to restocking for Season 3.

    10-6

    Current: #18 - Prev: #16

    (RPI: .494 - Prev: .496)

Despite being ranked 18th, the Falcons are NFC South champions. A big test for Coach Cole looms in the Wild Card round as they host the 49ers. Welcome to upset city!

    8-8

    Current: #19 - Prev: #15

    (RPI: .492 - Prev: .497)

The Dolphins finished a respectable 8-8, but out of the playoffs. The good news is the MJD trade looked to be a great move with Jones-Drew putting up MVP caliber numbers. If Miami can retool the passing game, things will turn around in a hurry in South Beach.

    8-8

    Current: #20 - Prev: #21

    (RPI: .490 - Prev: .485)

The Colts are still a few pieces away from being able to compete in a tough AFC South. There is promise for this team though as the 8-8 finish shows. The tough part will be figuring out exactly whats needed to push this team over the edge.

    8-8

    Current: #21 - Prev: #23

    (RPI: .485 - Prev: .470)

The Redskins just barely missed out on a playoff birth. RGIII has show why the previous regime gave up so much for him, the problem is they're still a season or two away from being able to compliment him because of it.

    7-9

    Current: #22 - Prev: #14

    (RPI: .475 - Prev: .500)

Another team with a disappointing finish. A year removed from a NFC South crown, the Bucs are looking to Coach BG for answers. I expect a big splash from this team in the offseason in hopes of turning things around.

    5-11

    Current: #23 - Prev: #30

    (RPI: .465 - Prev: .413)

The Titans seemed to return to form a bit towards the end of the season. Will they be able to carry that momentum to Season 3 and try and regain their grasp on the AFC South?

    7-9

    Current: #24 - Prev: #27

    (RPI: .465 - Prev: .441)

I truly had higher expectations for the Bears then a 7-9 finish. Despite the poor showing, I expect things to turn around for them in Season 3 if they can fill a few holes on offense.

    5-11

    Current: #25 - Prev: #20

    (RPI: .460 - Prev: .485)

With the Patriots making the playoffs and the Eagles from it, I bet Coach Reb is wishing he had stuck things out in New England. Thus, the world keeps turning. Will Philly be able to get out from underneath Vicks massive contract?

    4-12

    Current: #26 - Prev: #29

    (RPI: .448 - Prev: .431)

Things didnt really turn out much better for the Lions under Coach Smooth. Can the home town hero turn things around and put the Lions back on track? It will be tough with the amount of holes this team has.

    4-12

    Current: #27 - Prev: #25

    (RPI: .446 - Prev: .452)

While a 4-12 season might be a disappointment to some, its a 4 game improvement for the Chiefs. Things are looking up in Kansas City, and another high draft pick should help turn this team around, especially with potential Defensive MVP Mr. Johnson still on their roster.

    4-12

    Current: #28 - Prev: #24

    (RPI: .435 - Prev: .461)

The Raiders are admittingly ready to forget about Season 2. I bet their ready to forget they traded their best offensive player away too.

    1-15

    Current: #29 - Prev: #28

    (RPI: .430 - Prev: .434)

No team is more in need of a head coach then the Cardinals are right now. In fact, the whole league is eagerly awaiting the return of Coach Diddy.

    3-13

    Current: #30 - Prev: #26

    (RPI: .425 - Prev: .447)

The Panthers stumbled their way through another rough season. A top 5 pick might help solve their defensive woes, the biggest question though is what direction they go with it? I vote secondary.

    1-15

    Current: #31 - Prev: #32

    (RPI: .409 - Prev: .388)

Hopefully the #1 overall pick and another late 1st will help keep this team afloat. If not, we may find Coach RW floating face down pretty soon.

    2-14

    Current: #32 - Prev: #31

    (RPI: .407 - Prev: .393)

The Texans are just another team on the long list that is glad Season 2 is almost over. Rumors are that the Texans will be looking for their next franchise quarter back in the draft. Lets hope so.

Early reports are that Jenkins will be tagged and Boldin will be offered 51% ownership of the team

#2 overall pick to the #2 seed. :) The Rams though went from the #3 pick to a #1 seed and that's even more impressive, imo.

I'm starting a new format for these next season. Copy / pasting makes it look sooooo ugly with all the spaces and uneven centering.

Yeah, I was going to suggest the same. It's dumb how it adds spaces every time we edit it.

I'd like to use the "I was on auto for over half the season" excuse.

That's my mulligan for the release.
