    Chiefs Beat Denver in Arrowhead
In an offensive showdown with both teams getting close to the 500 total yard mark. It was the Chiefs led by QB Alex Smith who would lead the Chiefs to a week 1 victory over a tough opponent Denver. Alex Smith was connecting all day long and would end up 12/19 290 yards 3 TDs and 1 INT. It was a great showing on his part who saw just 4 different receivers catching the ball. It wasn't the most spread out attack, it was just big play after big play. 3 of the 4 WRs had a play of over 40 yards. The receiving core was lead by TE Travis Kelce and WR Dwayne Bowe both getting 4 catches and Kelce getting 96 yards with 2 TDs and Bowe getting 114 yards. Also Rookie WR Quincy Enunwa started in his first game and provided those sure hands for 3 catches 63 yards and a TD. Most of his yards came on a 40 yard reception in which he was caught by all the defenders. Enunwa is not known for speed. The rushing attack was shut down for the most part, until Chiefs decided to get desperate and throw a little Wildcat formation in there. Charles would take off for the full 80 yard TD, but that's all he really had and as projected rookie RB Jeff Scott saw some action as well as Knile Davis.

Denver was able to move the ball both ways, passing and rushing. It really came down to key interceptions from Peyton that would provide to be the difference maker. Peyton would end the night 19/31 338 yars 1 TD and 2 INTs. Denver's running attack saw 2 different runners in Chris Rainey and Montee Ball. Rainey would only get 3 carries but 1 was a 68 yard TD. Ball saw 16 rushes for 62 yards and 2 TDs. Receiving, per usual, saw a bunch of different targets spread out well. But lead by Demaryius Thomas and Wes Welker who would each get 5 catches for 70 yards and 93 yards, respectively.

    Falcons Win Conference Debut!
The Atlanta Falcons get a huge opening day victory over conference rival Carolina Panthers. From the very first play of the game, you could just feel that the Falcons had become determined to play better, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. We knew Cam was the focal point of their offense and wanted to contain his big play potential. Descent coverage and timely pressure kept the talented QB in check for most of the game. On the other side of the ball, Matt Ryan was just......well Matty Ice! He completed 11-14 passes for 225yds and 4 tds without an int. newly acquired HB Bryce Brown had himself a pretty good day carrying the ball 27 times for 132yds. He did have a fumble early in the contest, but finished up rather strongly. Four different receivers had a td reception in the game for the Dirty Birds. Next up, Houston Texans!

    Final- 31-10 ATL

eagles loose big divison game 30-6

no offense from eagles at all , couldn't pass or run the ball and was held to season and maybe career hk low 103 yards

defesne had 7 sacks , that's only positive thing from game as barwin and cole each least had 2 sacks each.

lions are next and owner sporty said we going run the ball period to open up the pass this year , its still same old chip Kelly offense and its going help limit ints as well I hope

Chiefs Play a Battle in Buffalo
A game in which the Chiefs could not get the running game going and missed 2 FGs. Chiefs had little hope, but the fearless leader of the team, Alex Smith would pick up the pace. Smith would go 20/29 317 yards, although failing to complete a TD he did complete a crucial 2 point conversion. This game was stalling and saw little action in the first half. In fact the only TD in the first half was an 80 yard dash by Buffalo's RB CJ Spiller. Other than that 80 yard run we had Buffalo shut down. While Alex Smith was finding open receivers he was not finding TDs and in fact could of had a few INTs. Chiefs, were facing a 14-6 deficit when Alex had one of his throws that should have been an INT. Luckily it was dropped and the following play was a deep 37 yard pass to Quincy Enunwa on 3rd down. This sparked the team and Alex Smith would actually run it in to make the score 14-12. They came out for 2 and Alex had all day to throw the ball, had to rollout and found Donnie Avery in the endzone for 2. With the game tied 14-14, Buffalo would try to get something going in the air and found MLB Derrick Johnson. With 2 minutes left in the game the Chiefs would ultimately run the ball and end up scoring a TD. Buffalo would have 1 more shot but failed to complete the opportunity.

In the presser after the game, Alex Smith shook his head and said we are lucky to come out of this one. A bad offensive performance but a great defensive performance. If it wasn't for the defensive we'd be in here saying how bad the game was all around.

    Colts Get Going

The Colts went into this weeks game needing a Win. After a rough and outspoken Week 1, Indy used the ground game to finally get going. Trent Richardson had 3 touchdowns (2 Rushing, 1 Receiving) and over 100 yards on the afternoon. The biggest play of the day came when ROLB Robert Mathis intercepted a pass and took it 95 yards to the house.

tough loss for me and eagles as loose in over time 26-20 as Stafford throws a td that look like guy was out of bounds to me but they didn't review last play but oh well

positive colter sparks the team with 1 pass td and rushing td and 365 yards of passing vs people called tough passing but I threw about 5 ints in coverage as I like sometimes challenge defense like brett favre sorry to mg for packer refercene lol

defense got about 3 sacks and not sure if that leads nfl or not if that does , yeah me , if I cant win super this year , I take that title this year for sure

barwin leads nfl in sacks with 6 and I don't control him , I just dial up btliz lol

Jaguars Get First Win of the Year
    [IMG]
MJD ran wild against the Jets for 150 yards and a TD
----After two aweful showings to start the year, the Jaguars came out ready to play and got a much needed victory. The biggest surprise was was Coach Wayers benching his first round pick Jordan Lynch for 4th round pick David Fales, and it paid off. "Fales had a great week of practice, I felt he deserved a chance to start today", Coach wayers said after the game. David Fales went 20 for 28, 246 yards with 3 TDs and 1 INT. Fales didn't force as nearly as many throws as Lynch had been forcing in the previous games. " I just kind of let the game come to me and not force anything, plus when MJD is running wild it makes things easier", Fales said. Defensively for the Jags they played much better on defense than in previous game by forcing 2 INTs and a sack. "This was a great game for us, a much needed confidence booster for the team", Coach Wayers said. When asked about the QB situation Coach Wayers had this to say, "Fales played well, its his job to lose now".

Jairus Byrd ends the game with an interception in OT, to give the Bills a 13-10 win.

It was a defensive battle or an offensive struggle depending how you look at things. Both teams would turn the ball over a lot, but the Texans would have more with 5 on the day, 4 INT's and 1 fumble. The Bills struggled as well as EJ Manuel would throw 3 picks. The game would go into half time with a 0-0 tie, The Texans would come out of the half and drive down the field and put up the 1st TD of the game and take a 7-0 lead. The Bills would answer back with a solid drive of there own, but could only muster a field goal. That would be the score til late in the 4th quarter, when the Texans would drive the ball deep into Bills territory but the Buffalo defense would hold up and force a field goal which kept the game in reach at 10-3. EJ Manuel would get the ball back with under 2 minutes needing a TD tie and would deliver a huge drive hooking up with Stevie Johnson for the game tying TD. The Bills would get the ball first in OT and would drive down the field but could only muster the Field Goal so the game wasn't over yet, but on the ensuing drive Landry Jones would throw his 4th INT of the game and giving the Bills there 2nd win of the season.

    BELIEVE IN MONSTERS
BEARS DEFENSE EXPLODES FOR 5 TAKEAWAYS, 2 TOUCHDOWNS IN 40-10 W over SKINS
    [IMG]

    NOTES:

    * Redskins turned the ball over 5 times (3 interceptions by RG3, 2 fumbles)

*Star DT Henry Melton recorded 3 sacks and a fumble recovery for a touchdown

    * 3rd Round Rookie Bennett Jackson had his second interception of the season, taking it to the house for a touchdown on the Redskins first drive of the game.

    * The Bears did not attempt a pass the whole second half of the game, yet rookie QB Mettenberger had another efficient game. He tossed 2 touchdowns, while throwing a really bad pick in the redzone in the 1st quarter.

    * Kirk Cousins made a brief appearance in the second half, going 2 for 2 with a touchdown to Garcon. Is there QB controversy in Washington?

    * Matt Forte and Michael Bush combined for over 200 yards for the second time in 3 games this season. Rookie LG Yankey and RT James have held their own.

Great Game CTfromDC .... those turnovers really ended the game before either of us really even got warmed up. You will rebound, good luck rest of season.

Cam Newton leads Panthers past Falcons in OT, 27-21

In their second match-up in 3 weeks, the Panthers drew even in the series by defeating the Falcons in Atlanta on a 65-yard Cam Newton to Greg Olsen TD pass in OT.

    Game Summary:

The Panthers drew first blood after Justin Tuck sacked Falcon's QB Matt Ryan, forcing a fumble the Panthers would recover to set them up with good field position. That would lead to a 19-yard tippy-toe TD catch in the bottom right corner of the end-zone by Michael Jenkins from Cam Newton in the 1st quarter, making the score 7-0 Panthers.

But the Falcons responded with a 25-yard TD pass to Roddy White a couple minutes later, and a 10-yard TD pass to Tony Gonzalez with 0:17 left in the 2nd quarter to take a 14-7 halftime lead.

The Panthers, who hadn't gotten anything going offensively outside of the TD following the fumble, made some key adjustments at the half, and came out more focused in the 3rd. Cam Newton led scoring drives resulting in a 2-yard QB Blast run play for a TD by Newton, and a 2-yard TD pass to #10 overall draft pick Jeremy Gallon to take a 21-14 lead for the Panthers in the 3rd Quarter.

With possession of the ball and a little under 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter, the Panthers had an opportunity to run the clock down and end the game if they could get first downs, but on his on 8-yard line, Cam Newton would throw a INT to Falcon's CB Asante Samuel who would return it for a TD to tie the game back up at 21-21.

Neither team able to score before the end of the quarter, the game went to overtime. The Panthers won the coin toss and on the ensuing drive, Newton hit Greg Olson for a 65-yard catch-and-run pass resulting in a TD to win the game, 27-21.

    Key Stats:
    (CAR) Cam Newton - 109.1 QB Rating, 16/27 for 234 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT. 4 Rushes for 4 yards, 1 TD
(ATL) Matt Ryan - 89.7 QB Rating, 13/20 for 191 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT.

(CAR) Reggie Bush - 14 rushes for 64 yards
(ATL) Bryce Brown - 17 rushes for 59 yards

(CAR) Greg Olsen - 6 catches for 113 yards, 1 TD
(ATL) Tony Gonzalez - 6 catches for 110 yards, 1 TD

    Season 2 Catching Up

    Week 1
    Packer 24 - Lions 3

In the opener for season 2 the Packers stayed pretty basic as they slowly pulled away from Detroit for an nice opening day 24-3 win. The Pack was led by Rogers who passed for 235 yards and 1 TD while Lacy added 83 yards and 2 TDs on the ground. The Packers defense chipped in and held the Lions to 176 yards of total offense.

    Week 2
    Packer 24 - Bears 17

Week 2 saw the Packers travel to Chicago and face off with _MG_ and his Bears. The Packers jumped out to a early 14-0 early and were looking to extend that lead to 21 points in the 2nd Qtr when Rogers was picked off in the end zone. The Bears utilized the momentum from the pick to march down the field and cut the lead to 7. The Packers were looking to get a late score when Rogers was picked for a 2nd time and led to another Chicago drive and TD to tie the game at 14 all. On the ensuing kickoff the Bears forced a fumble but the Packers were able to hold and Chicago kicked the short FG and took an halftime lead of 17-14. In the 2nd half the Packers regained their composer and reclaimned the lead in the 3rd Qtr on a short TD run by Smith. In the 4th the Packers extended their lead to 24-17 and were able to hang on from there to get the win. Without a doubt the key to the game was the Packers defense holding Forte to only 28 yards on 10 carries and the numerous dropped passes by the Bear receivers. As always it was a great game by _MG_

    Week 3
    Packer 31 - Chargers 20

The Packers traveled to San Diego to face a banged up Charger team that was missing their QB in Rivers. The Packers raced out to a 31-3 lead before seeing the Chargers fight back in the 4th Qtr to cut the lead to 31-20.

Gotta give it to him, he didn't give up on the pass game as the picks piled up. And he only allowed 27 points with that many turnovers
