    MWC 2011/2012 CHAMPIONS: AIR FORCE
    [IMG][IMG]

Air Force took the MWC by storm for the second straight year. Victories continued to come in dominant fashion, blowing opposing teams out almost in every contest. Coach Noffke's Air Force squad did suffer their first "setback" with a loss to TCU so finally snap his coaching undefeated streak. The team could have folded, but the group rallied around their coach for a strong finish in order to hold on to the conference title and clinch a Fiesta Bowl bid against the Hurricanes. The falcons have blown out another BCS bowl team, and pundits are talking about National Championship possibilities for the team in 2012.

Coach Noffke led Air Force to another incredible season. Though this team was one win away from the National Championship, it was still a successful season being back-to-back MWC Champions. In year two, the triple option was lethal at times however, Air Force implemented more shotgun and passing. QB Jefferson and RB Clark both went over 1000 yards rushing for the second straight season. QB Jefferson also threw for over 2000 yards. These two seniors definitely left their mark at the Air Force Academy as they now become officers in the United States Air Force. The defense was once again strong throughout the season. With many seniors graduating this season, next season looks like a rebuilding year for the Falcons.

Since coach Noffke has taken over as head coach of the Falcons, he has led them to a 25-1 record and led the nation each season in turnover margin.

    SUGAR BOWL SCORE:
    Air Force: 48
    Miami (FL): 14

12-1 Final Record, 7-1 in MWC, Fiesta Bowl Victory
