A reminder for those who are new or forgotten our guidelines.

    OFFSEASON:
    Players Leaving
A user will not be allowed to attempt to sway a player out of the pro draft if he is:
    - > 90 OVR
    - a JR that has won the Heisman
    - a JR and has won a major award (Thorpe, Maxwell, Biletnikoff, etc.) AND is > 90 OVR
    - Kickers and Punters can be swayed from pro draft regardless of OVR and class.

    Scholarships
The amount of scholarships that can be offered at any given time will be dictated by the following formula:

    (70 - A) + B + C + D = total number of available scholarships, where:

A = current number of players on roster
B = number of graduating seniors
C = number of underclassmen that qualify for pro draft (see Players Leaving)
    D = one (1) additional scholarship
Note: Committed players count against your scholarship limit

1st violation: 2-scholarship deduction + 1 game suspension of player of commish's choice
2nd violation: 5-scholarship deduction + 3 game suspension of player of commish's choice
    3rd violation: removal from league

    Recruiting
    - Each user can sign a maximum of four (4) [IMG] - Users can only recruit within their pipeline OR if the user’s school is listed in the top 10 for a recruit (i.e. green dot)

    (70-70) + 20 + 0 +1 = 21 total available scholarships

Ughh...gonna be a young team for the next few years in Austin.

    (70-65) + 14 + 3 + 1 = 23
I have to double check if any underclassmen won awards.

I lost all four guys I tried to pick up in the off-season. Strange.

Anyway, I have 16 seniors and a 66 man roster. so I have 21 possible scholarships to offer. Gonna be a big year in recruiting for OSU.

Can you try to sway an all-american underclassmen if they are under 90 overall? Or does that count as a major award? And does the same go for second/third team all-americans?

All American does not count as a major award. Only awards referenced are the ones you win at the end of the season.

    Nothing like starting strong:

    Week 2.PNG

With 16 seniors graduating, and a 66-man roster due to some off-season losses, the Bucks need to recruit well this year, or see their talent diminish in upcoming seasons. In true Urban Meyer fashion, the Bucks are going after speed, and speed is what they have acquired in the first couple weeks. The top recruit so far is WR Rusty Smith out of Pennsylvania. He's the #2 WR in this year's class, and #8 overall. And he's an absolute burner:

    RS.PNG

Look for speed to be a major focus on both sides of the ball as OSU looks to become the fastest team in the country.

No idea. He was a week 1 commit for me. On the list I posted, the punter and Kimbrough, the second WR were week 2 commits. The other three were week one.

My email said the same thing. But i SWEAR he committed to me. I was second on his list and I was surprised he even committed to me instantly. Its annoying because I didnt go after another WR that I need.

I think it's a combination of things. First, I put every coaching point into recruiting. Also, with a number of holes to fill (MLB, G, FB, WR, C, P) I had a lot of interest from people wanting playing time. Add pipelines in a number of the big markets (FLA, TX, OH, PA NC, SC, GA, & CA) and the board usually has what the Bucks want. I maxed the instant commit skill and picked up four hits with it in week one. Long story short - pretty much everything has gone right.

Yeah, it seems like tOSU has a solid advantage in any league. In Chompions league the commish is tOSU and he is killing it in recruiting even against a league full of 5 star teams. It's surprising how many super-stud recruits come from the rust belt in this game. Probably a few more than are realistic. In my opinion there should be more 5 star recruits from TX, FL, and CA. The game developers probably wanted to make is more equitable but didn't think about there being so many more programs to split up those TX, FL, and CA 5 stars.

I'm glad we have our 5 star limits in this league or it would be even tougher to keep it close talent wise.

I used to run a 1-7-70 system back in the day. It meant one five star, seven fours, and the rest better be well scouted threes and below. It added a bit of strategy, but I can't say I dislike being able to pick up four studs a year.
