New Orleans, LA - The Vikings & Saints met in Week 10 of the 2013 season for the first time since their 2012 battle in the NFC Championship game, in which the Vikings won 23-20 in OT in route to their first ever Super Bowl victory. The Saints were coming off of a couple of wins, but had started the season out slow at 4-4. The Vikings were coming off of their worst loss under Coach JSimms after starting the season out 7-0.
The Vikings would dominate the first half on both sides of the ball. QB Drew Brees was picked off on the third play from scrimmage, and 6 Adrian Peterson runs later the Vikings were up 7. After a 3 and out on the Saints next possession, the Vikings would capitalize with another long drive capped off by a 46-yd FG by Blair Walsh. The Saints would finally put a drive together on their third try, but it would stall inside the Vikings 10 and they would settle for 3 from 24 yds out. The Vikings would respond, however with another FG of their own and after another INT was thrown by Brees, the Vikings would capp off the half with another AP TD from 1 yard out. Score at half: 20-3 in favor of the Vikings.
The second half would be much less eventful, as the Vikings D continued to impose its will. The Saints finally got a TD on the board when Brees hit Colston in the back of the end zone on 4th and Goal from the 3, but it was too little too late. The Vikings would tack on another TD with three minutes left and a final score of 30-10.
