Shermans INT allowed us to take the decisive lead
    Ole Miss - 42

    LSU - 35

LSU would jump out to a 21-0 lead before the Rebels would fight their way back and tie the game shortly after halftime. Ole Miss would then outscore LSU 21-14 to win the game. With just 30 seconds left on the clock Miller threw a strike to Moncrief and many thought that it was an unneccessary score but Coach Masler defended his actions later on stating that: "Our defense was unable to stop them on all but two or three drives and I was not about to give the ball back to them only up by 7 and we were on 3rd down. They also had a timeout left which means that 4th down may not have been enough." His actions were confirmed as a smart play as LSU did score with no time on the clock. But the Rebels were able to overcome their deficit and gain a decent lead behind the arm of Miller and legs of Walton, both had great days on the ground.
