Texans 27 Saints 24 Jacob Jakubiec tossed two picks, but had 345 passing yards and a TD to help guide the Texans to a hard fought victory. Josh Freeman also had a TD with 2 picks, but only added 95 yards to his team's cause. In the running game, Arian Foster put up 2 TDs for 105 yards against Tavaras Showers' 131 on 14 carries. Showers had 2 fumbles, while Foster had 1 (which was returned for the games first TD after a great starting drive by Houston). Receiving wise, Jordy Nelson lead the game 88 yards on 6 catches- Andre Johnson added a TD with 84 yards on 4 snags. With the game 24-24, the Saints were facing a 3rd and 8ish, bum Freeman missed a wide open Sproles in the flats who would have picked up at least 15, if not scored. A punt later and Houston was on the move. Jakubiec was nearly perfect until the final throw of the drive which he lobbed up to Owen Daniels in double coverage. Thankfully, Daniels being the bastard that he is, he came down with it. Houston hurried up to run a quick run to center the ball, and called their last time out. Field goal good, game, Houston. Hell of a game NeuroticTruth - we didn't deserve that win but I guess it worked out.
Let us not forget the play that proceeded that, the overthrow of Ellington who was wide open and would have scored. That was quiet possibly one of the worst QB performances of the release.
Bills 52 Broncos 10 The Bills pick up a big home win to move to 12-2 on the season and all but wrap up a division title. To begin the game, the Bills would receive the opening kickoff and take it down the field for 7. After forcing a punt, CJ Spiller would fumble on a run up the middle which would give the Broncos great field position and an easy chance to score 7 to tie the game up. The Bills would respond to go up 14-7, then make it 17-7, followed by 24-7. The Broncos had the ball with the half dwindling down but would throw a pick 6 to DeMeco Ryans to give the Bills a 31-10 lead. After forcing a punt, Manuel would kneel the ball to go into the 2nd half. The Bills would force a punt in the 2nd half and after running off some clock, EJ Manuel would find an open Stevie Johnson on 3rd and goal from the 4 for a touchdown and a 38-10 lead. The Bills would drive down once again after forcing an interception, and EJ Manuel would take it in from the goaline for a 45-10 lead. The Broncos would go to the air again and be picked off for a third time which would give the Bills great field position. The rookie Elgin McNeil would finish the job from here and cap the lead at 52-10 and that's how the game would end. EJ Manuel would throw the ball only 3 times in the 2nd half, but would complete all 3 of his passes. EJ Mauel 17/21 292 yards 4 TD 0 INT 2 rushes -1 yard 1 TD Ben Tate 7 rushes 74 yards Emanuel Sanders 3 Rec 104 yards 2 TD Kellen Winslow 6 rec 85 yards
49ers - 40 Seahawks - 0 The 49ers hosted their division rival Seahawks looking to stay undefeated and in the process clinch the #1 seed in the NFC playoffs, and they succeeded. The 49ers received the opening kick and drove down the field only to have it stall inside the red zone and they were forced to kick a FG to go up 3-0. The Niners defense held Marshawn Lynch in check all day, which forced Seattle into throwing situations more than they would have liked, and the Niners started this off on the Seahawks first drive, eventually ending up in a punt. Once the Niners got it back it only took a couple plays to score as Kaep hit Etuk on a screen for 79 yards and a TD to go up 10-0. The Seahawks were able to move the ball some on offense, but whenever they would get near the 49ers red zone, they would either take a sack or turn the ball over and the Niners kept taking advantage of these mistakes, eventually getting to our final score of 40-0. gg PAgamer07
GG Man. Nothing went right. Dropped two picks, and a fumble at the 8 killed it for us. Was glad to get that one over with.
Packers 31 Lions 28 The Pack traveled to take on the division rival Lions, looking to keep their playoff hopes on life support. The Lions jumped out to a 14-0 lead, behind some efficient Matt Stafford passing. The Packers fought back, cutting the lead to 14-10 to start the second half. The Lions scored on their first possession of the second to make it 21-10, but the Packers took control of the game on both sides of the ball to make it 31-21 with only 3 minutes left in the game. The Packers forced 4 turnovers during their run, including a questionable fumble. The Pack gave up an easy touchdown with their prevent defense with about 1:30 left, but Eddie Lacy closed the game out on the ground. good game Hova
