AP Scores 4 Times; Ties NFL Record in Route of Bears
Chicago, IL - The Vikings & Bears came into their Week 15 match-up moving in opposite directions. The Vikings were sitting at 11-2 and had already clinched the division, while the Bears (5-7) were all but mathematically eliminated from playoff contention and already had their sights set on the offseason & 2014. The game would turn out to be a historic one for #28 of the Vikings...
Minnesota dominated the game from the onset, as the offense was clicking on all cylinders. Adrian Peterson would strike first, on a 3-yard TD run on the Vikings first drive of the game. The Bears were able to move the ball through the air, but Minnesota would end their first drive on consecutive sacks to push the Bears out of FG range. 'All Day' would strike again as time expired in the 1st quarter, this time on an electric 44-yard TD run to put the purple up 14-0 after one.
The second quarter was much of the same; heavy doses of Adrian Peterson and a Vikings D that was swarming to the ball. AP would tack on a 3rd TD in the quarter. Score at half: 21-0.
The 3rd quarter was a memorable one for AP - he would score on a dazzling 47-yard TD run that includes two broken tackles. The score was his 28th of the season, tying Marshall Faulk's record and also put him at over 200 yards for the day on just 19 carries. Score after 3 quarters of play - 28-3 in favor of the Vikings.
The starters would sit for the Vikings in the 4th. They would tack on another 10 points, and the Bears would continue to struggle to get the ball to the Vikings side of the field.
gg Jon MK - as soon as you figure out how to play with this Bears roster, I'm confident that you'll be much more competitive than you have been lately.
    Final Score:
    Vikings: 38
    Bears: 3
    Players of the Game:
HB Adrian Peterson - 23 carries, 211 yds, 4 TD; 1 catch for 13 yds (in 3 quarters of play)
    CB Josh Robinson - 6 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 Sack, 1 FR
TE Dustin Keller - 10 catches for 104 yds
ROLB Lance Briggs - 4 tackles, 3 TFL, 1 Sack
