The 8-6 Detroit Lions hosted the 9-5 Denver Broncos in a must win game for both teams. First Quarter action started right away for Denver as they were able to get on the board with a 42 Yd FG by Matt Prater. Not to much longer after getting the ball back the Broncos were able to punch in a 1 Yd TD run by Ronnie Hillman to give Denver a 10 to 0 lead after 1. Second Quarter was were things got interesting as Denver was able to get the ball to start after a Stafford INT which lead to a 32 Yd run by Ronnie Hillman. Being down 17-0 Detroit got things going, moving the ball well and being capped off by a 24 Yd TD pass to Tony Schefflier from Matt Stafford. Needing an important stop Detroit was able to get by forcing Denver to a 3 and out. Back with the ball Detroit made quick work by getting a couple of big gains but none bigger than the 33 Yd TD pass that was caught by Walker Stream, 17-14 Denver. 14 unanswered points by Detroit was handled really well by the Broncos as they took back a two score lead from a 8 Yd TD pass to Demaryius Thomas. Matt Prater right before Half knocked in a 43 yard FG to give the Broncos a comfortable 27-14 lead. 3rd Quarter was important for the Lions because they were only down 13 and got ball to start the 3rd. 3 and out by the Lions lead to a another Denver FG this one from 23 yards out, 30-14 Denver. Lions answered back with a FG which would be the last points they would get. To wrap up the 3rd Q and the game Eric Decker was able to catch a 51 yard bomb to extend the lead to 20. After a Broncos 2 Yd TD run in the 4th Denver pulled the started and milked the clock to end the game.

Player of the game: Ronnie Hillman-27 Attempts for 118 Yards and 3 TDs
