The Colts traveled to Buffalo to take on the Bills. Buffalo, as advertised, came out with a high pressure defense. The Colts countered with a conservative, run first attack combined with timely play action passing. The Colts jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead, following a 50 yard Ryan Swope and a Vontae Davis interception on Buffalo's third play from scrimmage. Andrew Luck quickly connected to rookie tight end Jordan Najvar from 14 yards out. The Bills responded with a nice drive of their own and cut the lead to 14-7. The Bills added a field goal after a Indy punt and it was 14-10. Luck responded with a methodical drive down the field to close out the half, capped by a Stevan Ridley 1 yard run. 21-10 at half. The Bills opened the 2nd half scoring with another touchdown and opted to go for 2 to try and cut the lead to 3. EJ Manual's pass fell harmlessly in the end zone and this play would come back to bite Buffalo later. The score was 21-16 as we started the 4th quarter. Luck went back to Ridley at this point and he didn't disappoint. Ridley rattled off a series of runs to move the team to midfield. Luck went back to the play action and again connected with Swope, this time from 47 yards and the Colts extended the lead to 28-16. Buffalo marched down the field and got a quick score to cut the lead to 28-23. The Colts moved the ball to midfield again, but the offense stalled around the 50 and had to punt it back with about 3 minutes remaining. Buffalo needed a touchdown and the Colts were not going to give up a big play, so they came out in a lot of cover 3 and cover 4. The Bills used a quick run game to move the ball to midfield before the 2 minute warning. A few plays later and Manual had his team inside the red zone, but the clock was under a minute. Faced with a 3rd and 3, Manual forced a pass over the middle. He must not have seen DE Ricky Jean-Francois, who was the spy on the play, because EJ threw it right to him. The Colts ran 3 plays to burn the clock and escaped with a hard fought victory.

Seahawks Edge Redskins with Defense and Timely Scores
Seattle, WA-- The Seawhawks came into today's game hungry for a victory under their new coach who is 0-2 in his first two games, while the Redskins coming off a SB appearance and 3-1 on the season looked for a victory following their first loss. In a hard fought game where the Seahawks would break 300 total yards of offense while holding the Skins to 275 yards turned into a defensive battle of a game and wasn't over until the clock hit 0:00 in the 4th. Seattle took a 3-0 lead into halftime and the teams would enter the fourth tied at 10. Russell Wilson and the defense would get Seattle into FG range twice to take a 6 point lead and another time under a minute to go but Hauschka kick would fall short, leaving some time for Washington to try and complete a one score win, in which they fell short of time and ultimately lost.

Bucs run through Falcons, Win 38-10
Tampa bay was on the road this week taking on divisional rival Atlanta. The Bucs and Falcons came into this game sporting the same 1-3 record so something had to give. Tampa won the toss and elected to receive, out marched young QB Mike Glennon and the Tampa offense who have been slowly starting to get things rolling and they were firing on all cylinders today especially the running duo of Doug Martin and Michael Dyer. Tampa's first drive was very methodical and balanced moving the ball down the field and the drive was capped off with a Doug Martin touchdown 7-0 and after an Atlanta 3 and out that was the score heading into the second with Tampa knocking on the door again.
In the 2nd it didn't take long for Tampa to go up 14-0 as Mike Glennon found his tightend Anthony McCoy for a 4 yard touchdown and his only catch of the game. Atlanta and Tampa would exchange punts then Atlanta punted again followed by a Doug Martin 73 yard touchdown run to push the lead to 21-0 midway through the 2nd. The Falcons tacked on a FG to make it 21-3, on the ensuing drive for Tampa with a little under a minute to go Glennon hit a 20 yard pass to Sammy Watkins time out Tampa there first. On the next play outta the timeout Michael Dyer took the shotgun handoff 52 yards but was pushed out at the 5. Two plays later touchdown Doug Martin his 3rd of the game to push the lead at the half to 28-3.
Atlanta got the ball to start the second half but were forced to punt which then led to a Michael Dyer touchdown 35-3 heading to the 4th. Doug Martin and Mike Glennon grabbed some bench as the game was in hand to start the 4th. Atlanta was able to get in the endzone in the 4th as Matt Ryan hit his tightend Chase Coffman for a 29 yard touchdown to make it 35-10. The Bucs offense ran it down Atlanta's throats and got down to the 5 and kicked a field goal 38-10. GG Ben Huh

#Tennessee Titans play host to the Carolina Circus Company. #Fans go home happy. #The 420 Bowl is doosy.
The Panthers were a Playoff team last year and the Titans were going to use this as a measuring stick game.
1Q- Titans received and got some good yardage, but only came away with a FG. Cam and Company took over and got right to work as the high-flying offense moved the ball with ease. The Titans were caught off guard and could NOT contain Cam. #Worst nightmare ever. "I thought we were better prepared for their speed and containing Cam in the pocket.", Coach CWT 3000 would say after the game. Carolina leads 7-3 and force the Titans to punt away. The CCC kept the tempo up and moved the ball at will AGAIN. Titans found themselves in an unfamiliar territory down 14-3 early 2Q.
2Q- The Titans started fighting back after getting pushed around, and Chris Johnson would help by breaking off a huge run for a TD on the very next drive. The run occurred early in the drive after trying to focus on the game-plan. CCC was able to dictate both sides of the ball up to this point, so forcing the run was a point on this drive. Thankfully it worked. Momentum would slowly shift towards the Titans after the score and forcing the CCC to actually punt. Locker would settle down enough to get the team near the goal-line. Eventually he found CJ on a blue route and he'd fall backwards into the endzone. Titans lead 17-14 late 2Q. Cam would work his magic and with time running out the CCC would tie the game at 17-17 with 8 seconds left in the half.
3Q- The CCC would open the half with the ball. Cam got right to work and busted off a nice run and connected on a few pass plays. The read-option was giving the Titans a headache. They tried to make the Panthers fight for every yard, but as the opening drive continued to get down near the endzone the Titans were running outta gas. Cam would decide to tuck and run one too many times and down near the goal Cam put the ball on the ground. Titans recovered! Titans could do nothing with the TO and eventually punted back to CCC. This time the Titans defense would intercept Cam on their next drive when McCourtey finally held onto a ball thrown to him. Yet again, the Titans could not make use the opportunity. PUNT.
4Q- Titans started figuring out how to stop this team. The CCC likes to spread the field and use Cam and some of the other weapons in space. Originally we were trying to match personnel, but it ended up bad for the Titans. So, the key was mixing in the Cover 2 Man- Spy out of Quarters formation. The Cover 2 Sink w/ Spy out of Quarter was not as effective as Cam's first read tends to be Olson who gets open all the time vs this defensive play. That's when I realized the Cover 3 Slant Buck would stop Olsen's routes out of the spread. Couple that with Cover 2 man Spy and we were able to keep CCC off balance for much of the 3rd and 4th quarter. The Titans and CCC traded punts early on in the 4th. The CCC put together an OK drive when they got to the Titan's 40 and with a big decision ahead of them on 4th down... they decided to go for the LONG FG. The kicker missed it and the Titans took over with good field position. This time we were able to take advantage of the TO (on downs) and picked up enough yards to have FG Kicker Potter nail a 50 yard FG. Titans lead 20-17. Cam was determined to score and the CCC put together a good drive. Time was becoming a factor and the Titans called their first T.O. with CCC inside the RED ZONE and 1:54 remaining. The coach for CCC ran the ball a few more times and the Titans used one more T.O, but Cam was able to connect on a slant to move the chains. The Titans were stuck in a difficult position. On one hand, the CCC were going to either tie or go ahead a score with no time left on the clock. Or we let them score early, on the 1st-and goal set of downs. We opted for the latter... but it backfired in a good way!
1st and Goal- D. Williams falls forward, but short by inches (shit!)
2nd and Goal- We called an outside blitz from our Goal Line 'D', but Cam pitches to the RB who gets hammered for a 4-yard loss (double shit!)
3rd and Goal- CCC went for the quick pass in the flat only to have the defender knock it down. (yea?)
4th and Goal- CCC decides to GO for it! Titans called a simple 4-3 cover 3 vs the spread O. Interception by SS Stafford!
Titans win in a thriller 20-17 GG Blaza
